Tom was very responsive and helpful from the moment he answered the phone. My estimate was in my inbox promptly after our discussion and his review of the job. The communication on scheduling was very efficient and given the weather they were only a week later than they originally planned. My roof is steep and not the easiest to access. They took great care of my property especially the landscaping and concrete work that I had recently installed. The crew was prompt curteous and efficient. They were very cognizant of the weather forecast and on the first day only removed and re shingled the part of the roof they knew they could get done. When they encountered some problems around my dormer, they contacted me promptly with pictures to explain what had to be done. They even noted that previous roofers that I had had in over the years to fix the leak had not recognized that there was little to no flashing installed around the dormers. These prior roofers are some of the most highly rated on this list btw. The property was cleaned up every evening before they left and the results are beautiful. I am already referring Tom to a friend who plans to replace his roof later this year

Lyons delivered on all that they promised with superb results. All of my questions were answered satisfactorily before work began. When questions arose during the installation I received an email with a full explanation and pictures, enabling me to make an informed decision. Clean up was thorough. Although not the least expensive, the overall craftsmanship applied and ease with which the entire transaction transpired made it a worthwhile investment. The result is beautiful and makes a tremendous impact on my home's curb appeal.

It was horrible, he came out to look at my roof and told me that I needed to get it fixed and then sent a very expensive proposal. I felt ripped off that they didn’t do more to fix the minor problems that were on my roof. What needed to be fixed, the flashing, was small and I felt fell under the parameters of the deal that I bought.

very well. they showed up when they said they would, removed the old shingles, replaced some damaged decking, installed the shingles, cleaned up, and left. And, charged me what they said they would. On a side note, a side note, as a result of their cleaning up, all the leaves around the house got cleaned up. Also kept me informed of progress through phone calls and email. couldn't ask for more.

Tom came out and inspected my roof. I liked how he not only told me what issues I had or to look how for buy why and how that was a problem. Didn't try to sell me any additional services, which I enjoyed. Would use him again for this roof maintenance service - better than me climbing up the roof myself.

Tom was very easy to work with. He made an appointment to visit very quickly and was very responsive by email, usually responding within a couple of hours. The company has an extensive website with a lot of information that was very helpful. Throughout the installation process, I was sent photos at varying stages. Overall the service was great and I would recommend Lyon Contracting for a roof replacement.

They came out and inspected the roof and informed that the deal purchase didn't include metal flashing, which is what I bought the deal for.

Tom Petrilli and his team did a great job. He gave me a timely estimate and they installed the roof in one day--leaving my property clean and free from debris. They did the job a week later than scheduled because of weather delays, but he kept in touch to let me know when his crew would be arriving. Received a referral from our neighbor who was also very pleased with their work. Would definitely recommend!!

They came very soon after I called for an appointment; showed up and completed the job promptly, and cleaned up when they were through.

Tom Petrilli was very responsive in doing site visit and providing estimate. Gave good advice and offered quality product. Able to schedule within 3 weeks of estimate so job was very timely and completed before cold weather and leaf fall. Crew arrived as scheduled and was well-skilled in the job. Work completed in 1 day and a half. Clean up was very good; no nails or roofing pieces found. They were careful to avoid damage to shrubs. An excellent job.

I bought the deal off Angie's List and within a day was contacted by the provider. They were able to come out two days later to check my roof. Since I was unable to be home they promised to email me pictures and then follow up with a phone call. By the day after the inspection I had pictures and received a phone call from them letting me know what they had done, how many years I would probably get out of my roof and also what to save up for as an anticipated cost. Really great service!

To declare Tom Lyons of Lyons Contracting as the most professional contractor that has done work for me is not hyperbole. Tom arrived precisely at the scheduled time and within a matter of minutes identified the leak issues in my roof. As he spoke, I anticipated the statement that I would need new roof or at least an expensive repair. Instead, Tom stated matter-of-factly that my roof was good for another half dozen years and he would immediately fix the current leaks, no charge. Tom Lyons could easily have charged me extra to repair my roof and I would have gladly paid. The ethics and honesty Tom displayed is refreshing. Within thirty minutes, the repairs were done and Tom was gone, leaving a very impressed customer in his wake. As an aside, Tom also possesses a quick smile and an engaging personality. In short, he is a "great guy."

The workers seem to be well trained and very pilot. They installed new roof in one day, then came back next day spent another hour to finish up little details. They cleaned up everything in the yard, no mess at all. The new roof looks great, and I hope it will last another 30 more years. Everything from estimate to finish was done very professional.

Tom always got back to me in a timely fashion from initial contact through the completion of the job. He told me how Lyons would do the job, gave me an estimate and kept me informed of the scheduling. The price was a little better than my other contact. When the day arrived the crew came at the appointed time. They had to leave early because of incoming rain, but they left the house watertight and showed up the next rainless day to finish the job. They cleaned up all outside debris and carried it away. My only effort was to clean up the grit beneath the replaced skylights. I am happy with the results!

Tom Petrilli gave us a target date of when we were scheduled for the roof repair, and when he would re-initiate contact to provide the final date. He confirmed a week out. The evening before, he appraised us that there was a crew emergency necessitating a delay. He gave us a new date/time for the work which fell in the same week. His diligence in sharing "why" was much appreciated and we were able to reschedule electrician (to handle connecting new fan) for different date with advance notice. Items were delivered two days prior and placed on roof and on driveway with attention to providing us access to our garage while we awaited their arrival. Crew assembled and were ready to go at 7:30am and finished before the end of the day. Tom Petrilli was on site in the morning to meet us and alert that they were starting, introducing the foreman and ensuring all materials were available. Tom talked with both of us, showing how our roof boards were rotting and that they would be replacing decking and roofing. When he left, he let us know that he was leaving and would be back the following day to inspect the work. The men worked efficiently and effectively with minimum mess. He did the inspection as promised and left the invoice. He followed up with a phone call to ensure that we were happy with the new roof and even made a trip back out to collect our payment rather than our having to mail it. Our entire roof decking was replaced, and the new shingles look great! We had compliments from two neighbors about how it looks (and one ask for their contact info) within the first 36 hours. We would definitely recommend Lyons Contracting based on our experience with Tom Petrilli and his crew.

Lyons did a wonderful job, particularly dealing with idiosyncrasies of my roof. I sought several bids. Lyons was the most responsive of all I called, and once selected, they kept me timely informed of what to expect and when. We really felt they cared about us not just the job. Our new roof is beautiful and we could not be happier with the workmanship and professionalism of Lyons.

Tom Petrilli came out to provide an estimate before the purchase of a Big Deal from his Angies List storefront. We wanted an estimate as our roof was slightly larger than the 1600sf included in the Big Deal and wanted to know a more precise cost up front. Tom was punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. His estimate proved to be extremely accurate and there weren't any surprises when we received our final invoice. My main concern was that more plywood would need to be replaced than estimated. Tom assured me that in his opinion the plywood decking on my roof was in good condition and provided a different pricing structure in case it was determined otherwise. Tom was spot on. The day our project was scheduled to begin, the crew arrived on time and got to work right away. The crew was courteous and efficient. They completed the entire project (removal and installation of new roof system) in a single day. The roof looks fantastic and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience with Lyons Contracting. We received incredible value and workmanship.

Via Angie's List, I sent a message to Tom Petrilli of Lyons Construction Inc regarding a couple roofing problems. Within two hours, he had made contact & said he would be by in a half hour. He arrived promptly, politely introduced himself, & had me explain what problems we were having. Tom then went into our attic & on the roof to determine the causes. I indicated that my husband & I were unsure if we needed a new roof or to repair the problems. Tom evaluated the roof & agreed that it is showing some aging, but that at this time he did not advise a new roof. As he indicated they're minor problems & should be repaired. He said someone would come by on the next Monday or Tuesday to repair the popped nail & loose shingles. True to his word, two guys from his crew came by Tuesday morning & repaired the problem. As with Tom they were polite & set right to work. Our area has had another strong rain since that repair, and the problem was definitely fixed. As any of us know who are members of Angie's List, there are numerous companies that get top ratings. It takes careful reading to determine who truly knows his business well, keeps current with new methods & products, and actively demonstrates honesty with customers. Lyons Construction is such a company. Tom or his crew could easily have told us that we needed so many repairs that a new roof was in order. For the almighty buck, there are many who wouldn't think twice before telling a customer such, for they know most customers are not going to get up on the roof & check it out! My husband & I thank them for the repair & for their honesty. We will need a new roof, and when that time arrives we will call Lyons Construction.

Rain forecast caused cancellation of service on the day originally scheduled. Crews arrived very early the next morning and got the whole job completed in one long day. The crew was polite and professional. They backed a dump truck into my driveway for the debris and took it all away that day instead of parking a dumpster on my lawn like some roofers do. It looks great and I can't wait for it to rain- so I can stand in the yard and admire my new roof.

Our roof was close to 20 years old and needed to be replaced. In addition, it wasn't originally installed correctly, so the gutters weren't correctly catching water from the roof. Tom, from Lyon's, was very helpful and professional. His estimate was very reasonable. The crew showed up on time, finished mostly in the same day, and left the house and yard clean. Everything seems to be in order and we are very satisfied with the results.

Wonderful, prompt service at an excellent price!!! My initial phone call was promptly returned by Mike Simpson, and we arranged an estimate for two days later. He asked several questions about the needed repair and asked if I could send him photos. I did, and he said he would have all of the supplies needed with him so that he could do the repair the same day as the estimate. I had two other companies come by for estimates (which ended up being significatntly higher than what Mike charged), one of which suggested additional minor repair work needed. Upon Mike's arrival, we asked if he could do this minor work as well and he agreed. He was finished in one hour, at a fraction of the cost of the other companies we received estimates from! Very please with quality of work, professionalism and promptness. I called 6 roofing companies and several of them had a wait list of 3-6 weeks for repairs, and we had ours repaired in no time! Definitely using Lyons Contracting again!
