Description of Work: No work done just a discussion on how much a new roof would cost. The advice, not to spend the money on new roof until necessary. One doesn't often hear advice like this often. I'll keep this roofer in mind when I decide to get a new roof.

Description of Work: 24 square, two story roof rip and new architectural install. Can't say enough good things about Tom and his team. Very reasonably priced, super professional, extremely knowledgeable, and excellent communication. Tom and his team are experts at their craft. Having worked in construction myself and knowing many contractors in the field, I can honestly say that Tom and his team exceeded all of my expectations. You'd be hard pressed to find a contractor as open, honest, and technically qualified as Tom. He truly enjoys solving customers problems and keeps his customers up to speed every step along the way. I will do my absolute best to recommend Lyons to everyone I can.

Description of Work: I purchased the new roof through Angie's list and was contacted by the contractor that day. Unfortunately I hadn't noticed that the deal was only avaialble in Virginia, not Maryland where I live. The contractor, who's name is Tom, could not have been more helpful and immediately contacted Angies list on my behalf to get my $ refunded. | |My experience was so positive with Tom that when I was loooking for another contractor I called Tom back and asked him roofing questions about another contractors proposal. Once again, Tom was awesome and answered my questions and even offered to review the roofing proposal from the other roofer to let me know if everything was included that needed to be included. Absolutely a great company to work with! | |

Description of Work: I contacted Lyons contracting to see if I could cancel my contract. They called me right back and said that I had no contract with them since thy had provided us with no service of any kind yet and this was our first contact. Told me to contact Angie's List. Nice people

Description of Work: None required. Provided honest assessment of my roof issue and outlined a course of action that did not require a contract. Not many companies would do this as I was prepared to pay for work that ultimately was not required. When I need roof work done in the future---Lyons will be my first call!

Description of Work: Purchased the Big Deal and had the contractor quote the roof for total cost, after receiving their quote, it seemed to high, so I had another Angies List roofing contractor quote the roof and it came in at 2/3 the cost of the the quote using the Big Deal, Big Deal contractor had no problem with refunding the Big Deal, very nice on the phone, responded quickly to the issue, I just could not justify paying $5000 more for the roof.

Description of Work: The roof was estimated at 2730sf, which is over the 2000sf covered in this deal, and I had three skylights replaced. There was also an charge (unknown at this time) for additional plywood, however the contractor explained it was only going to amount to $500 on top of the estimated cost. I don't have that bill yet. All-in-all, I was very satisfied with the work performed--it looks great, however it has not rained yet so it has not gone through its first test.

Description of Work: New roof and attic fan installed on Falls Church townhouse on June 6, 2011. All work and service was excellent. The owner personally addressed all questions, promptly returned phone calls, and was frequently on the premises while the work was being done.

Description of Work: He was awesome. Diagnosed and helped me fix my problem over the phone at no cost. Fantastic.
