I consulted Angies List for an A-rated nearby plumber and called Kesterson's. An appointment was made next day for the afternoon, 12-4. At 9:45 the service tech called and asked if he could come early. YEA! He opened up the ceiling and located the leak and fix it. He was very careful to catch the water that remained ponded on top of the sheet rock, put down a drop cloth to protect the floor from the water-soaked sheet rock that had to come down, and cleaned up the entire mess and took it with him. He was happy to apply the Angie's List coupon. Water leaks stress me out. Sometimes they're difficult to locate and even harder to fix. For future plumbing problems, Kesterson Plumbing & Heating will be my first stop .The service was OUTSTANDING. DO your research on Angie's List. DON'T just Google a plumber on the internet.

We had two leaks develop within a couple of days of each other, one under the kitchen sink (from the bottom of the disposal) and one under the laundry room sink. Neither was a total emergency (kept buckets underneath), but both were very inconvenient. We called Kesterson on Thursday and they arranged to come out on Friday morning between 9 and 12. The plumber arrived around 10:30; he was friendly and professional and did the work quickly. The price seemed on the high side -- the disposal replacement was charged at a flat rate which included the new disposal itself, and the other labor was charged per quarter hour. He did a particularly good job repairing the stopper in our bathroom sink -- the assembly had completely come apart and was very messed up. The whole thing only took about an hour. Clean, fast, and professional.

Showed up on time, ready to go. Completed the work in about an hour.

The upside: Kesterson provided Saturday service and responded the same day; however, they charged an additional $300 for the service. A new tank was installed along with some extra piping. The service technician was very nice, respectful of my home, did a great job, he went above and beyond! The downside: The new tank's sensors are so sensitive that it could tell the concrete was damp and the pilot light would not ignite for another two days. So, I still didn't have hot water until Monday even though I paid an extra $300 to have hot water on Saturday. This was not the technician's fault, but it hurt my budget. Had I known this might be an issue, I would have just waited until Monday to save the money.

This was a totally favorable plumbing experience. I really appreciate Kesterson Plumbing taking on this job in such a professional and thorough manner. I'd previously asked a handyman to try repairing or replacing the broken and leaking shower diverter. Unfortunately, the prior owner of my home used glue to afix the diverter to the damaged bib stem, the bib was now leaking, and finding a matching diverter and handle would be tricky at best. The handyman recommended I replace the whole 3-handle shower fixture with a new modern one, rather than trying to patch together the existing broken fixture. I contacted Kesterson Plumbing and two others near my house. Kesterson agreed to come assess the problem at no charge, while the two others had a service fee just to look. That, combined with an A rating on Angies List and close proximity to my home caused me to go with Kesterson. The plumber arrived as scheduled, I had already purchased a 3-handle shower fixture set. Based on my initial phone call to the company requesting service, he was prepared with the correct parts on his truck to either replace the whole thing or determine if simply replacing the diverter was an option. In the process of opening the trap to expose the plumbing, he determined that he would need to open a small area of drywall to expose the pipes, which I already suspected would be necessary and was prepared to do. He also discovered that the the 1956 shower installation didn't include emergency shut-off valves for the shower. I opted to include this work, which added the cost of quality metal shut-off levers to the total bill (added cost included in the approximate cost in my review). He did the work in about 3 hours, cutting pipes, installing new shut-off levers, installing the custom pipes that accompanied the new 3-handle fixture set. It was obvious that he knew what he was doing, and was an experienced plumber. He was careful to check and re-check that there were no leaks. He used a drop cloth, and thoroughly cleaned up when he was done. Other than the slight odor from the solder and flux used to connect pipes, I could hardly tell he'd been there. It's been several days, and everything works fine. Best of all, I have a shower again, and no leaks! The only thing I need now is to patch a little hole in the drywall, cosmetic stuff. As a note to pet lovers, I was also pleased with this plumber because he was careful around my cats. Not all professionals are as careful about closing doors and keeping equipment contained in a pet-friendly way. I'd definitely use Kesterson Plumbing again, and will recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

We were having problems with our sewer backing up into the basement. Earlier this year, Kesterson scoped the line and determined the line was probably original (100 years old!) and needed to be replaced because the pipe sections had moved out of alignment and severely restricted the flow. When the sewer started backing up again, we decided to bite the bullet and get the work done. The crew did their best to minimize disruption to our ability to live in the house, though we did unexpectedly have to find a hotel the first night. I also wish the crew hadn't buried my front flowerbed under a pile of dirt, but they were careful with their backhoe around our cherry tree and even managed to save some mature trees they initially thought would need to be cut down. Even though there were some headaches, I am happy with the work overall. In particular, I am pleased with Kesterson's efforts to do the job right, even fixing a few things not included in the original estimate. I'm also pleased that Kesterson found a way to minimize disruption to our neighbor (our line ran through their yard) by rerouting our line rather than digging up their entire front yard.

I came home on Friday night with 3 hungry little kids and discovered a problem with my kitchen sink. I am a regular customer of Kesterson and I called them. Got their service but the on-call plumber called back promptly. He said he was swamped but he was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and walk me through a simple fix that got me (and the kids) back up and running. It was awesome. I am so grateful!

It went great. My husband is recovering from surgery and was unable to fix this. I called and someone was here is about 90 minutes. Cleared drain. Very professional and friendly.

I called another company on Angie's list originally because of a coupon deal they were offering. I called for an appointment and whoever answered said they couldn't do the day of, but most likely the next day. After a few back and forth phone calls, I realized that whoever I was talking didn't have a clue. I called the office one last time and got someone else who said I wouldn't get an appointment until 10 business days later. I called Kesterson around noon on a Wednesday and got an slot for the next morning (9-12pm)!! Unbelievable. Here I was ready to wait 10 business days for someone else. The guy came exactly at 12pm. He was fast, knowledgeable, and got the job done as cleanly as possible. Very professional service. The entire thing took roughly 30 minutes total. My clog is cleared and I am a happy person.

The men finished quickly and explained what they had done. I gave them a B for punctuality because they did not come in the 9-12p window I was given. However, they did call and told me they had an emergency job and would be at my house later. I would defnitely use Kesterson again and recommend them to others. I was a good experience.

Very simple job, but great experience. Toilet would not fill with water, we had already replaced one part ourselves, but we are just not a handy household. Called and explained problem over the phone. They scheduled me for the next day, and gave me a general idea of what kind of cost to expect based on what he thought was wrong. Plumber showed up on time (even a bit early). Got right to work. Explained and showed me the problem, then explained how he fixed it. As I was paying him, we both heard the toilet making noise. He went back to make sure it was okay, and he made a couple of slight adjustments. Positive experience overall. I will call them again.

We had a clogged drain that my husband and 2 other plumbers could not fix. I called Kesterson (from looking on Angie's List!) this morning and they said they could come out today. The 2 guys were professional, friendly and calm. It took a while, but using their equipment they eventually pulled out an old rag (???) that had been blocking the pipe. It was a little pricey, but they would only charge me if they fixed the clog, and to me that's a fair deal. :)

I called them in the morning, and they arrived before their scheduled time. The technician was very professional, and had another plumber come in to make sure they found all the leaks. They both did a very good job because the leak was difficult/small to find.

Great experience with Kesterson--would definitely recommend them to others and use them again. From my initial call to inquire to the technicians' excellent work, they were responsive, courteous, prompt, and very professional. Gave me an on-point estimate over the phone, which I appreciated; work was completed quickly and efficiently. Very impressed with Kesterson and am glad to be able to call on them in the future as necessary. Top notch.

They need to train their employees on customer service. I had a plumbing emergency after hours (5:30 PM) and the plumber I had to deal with was rude and acted as though he was doing me a favor despite the fact that he was getting paid $250 to just come out to my house to look at the problem. I would not recommend them.

Terrific. Frustrated to find builder had used such an odd toilet, but very happy with Kestersons.

Overall, it was fine. I appreciated that the company stayed in contact with me throughout the appointment process.

He doesn’t sell services you don’t need. I was happy that he was able to fix the small job without making it a big one. He does good work.

In the future I will be sure to get a quote... Kitchen sink clog when mother in law put potato skins in garbage disposal. Called Kesterson and asked if they could come out that day as I had a newborn at home. They were great in be able to get someone out. Tech arrived at 12:15 (12-4 window) Had to remove pipes to clean out - which might explain some of the high cost. Also asked them to tighten the faucet since everything had already been pulled out from under the sink. $42 to make 6 twists on a bolt?!? Overall pleased with the service - not pleased with the cost.

We had just bought the home and discovered, on the pre-move in walk through that the cleaning crew had broken the water supply to the fridge and turned the water off in the home. They cleaned up most of the mess, but we needed someone to come out and fix this. They could not get out until the next day, but the serviceman called and said he could get there an hour earlier than scheduled. Once here, he did the job, checked everything over and made sure all was working. Overall, very good service. I would recommend Kesterson again.

The relief valve on my hot water heater was activated by accident and the heater began dripping water on the basement floor. Called Kesterson, they sent someone within a few hours who replaced the valve, explained what was wrong, Could not ask for better service.

We were pleased with the overall performance. This was the second time we used them and their price was more reasonable than the first time.

Shotsy came out to take a look the same day we called. The initial plan called for running a trench across the center of my yard, which would have destroyed some recently installed landscaping, including a stone patio. I was very upset at this prospect--and by upset, I mean, crying my eyes out over the destruction of my yard, not to mention the shock of the expense, in Kesterson's office. (Suzette, the woman in the office, was very kind and understanding.) So Shotsy agreed to meet with me the next day to walk me through the procedure and see what could be done to spare my landscaping. He came up with a plan to do just that, tunneling under the porch in lieu of trenching across the yard. I had to wait just over a week until they could get started, but that was 1-2 weeks less than their competitors said it would be. The two guys they sent, Sherman and Roger, could not have been nicer. At the end of the first day, they jury-rigged a pipe from the meter to the exterior faucet above ground so that I would have water for the first time in a week. They did not have to do that, and it was so appreciated. To get under the porch, they only had to move one bush and were very careful with it. I was a little nervous when they left on Friday, leaving a lot of plywood, dirt, and debris in the yard. But sure enough, they came back on Monday to clean up. And then, they still had to put down gravel where my front walk had been dug up. Two days later, I came home to find that they had been back to do just that. When I looked over the estimate, I noticed that it had called for the public sidewalk to be dug up and then repoured, but they ended up not having to do that. I contacted the office, and Shotsy agreed to take $200 off the price, which I really appreciated. Everyone at Kesterson's was very nice, and they were very efficient. I felt well taken care of during what was a pretty upsetting experience. I will definitely use them again.

They did an overall good job. Nothing in particular stood out to me.
