Co-owner, Robin Boldt is a lifelong Northern Virginia resident with over ten years experience as a mover and manager for Quinn's Auction Galleries in Falls Church, VA. Co-owner, Cesar Arita has nearly ten years of hands-on experience as a full-time residential mover in the DMV area and also has had the opportunity to work for Quinn's Auction Galleries as a trusted mover for two years.

The team was collegial and very productive and efficient. They arrived 15 minutes early and their expertise became readily apparent. Because they were so quick we started to add things to the move but they were completely unfazed. They finished with 15 minutes to spare under the three-hour cutoff. They also kindly removed for us from the new apartment some of the cardboard boxes that had held the parts of the new bed and chest of drawers, which saved us a considerable hassle. We were very pleased with the move in general.

The devil is in the details. Have them come by and give you a quote and be specific of what you want them to move or not move. Also, be available during the move to provide guidance or clearly outline the move details.

Robin ( the owner) came out to give me an estimate. He was friendly, detail-oriented and flexible regarding dates and other details. Andre and his moving crew showed up on move day 10 min early and were very professional and efficient. They packed our household effects carefully and protected the floors in both, move out and move in locations. The move was completed in a reasonable amount of time and pricing was fair. Highly recommended, I would definitely used them again.

They sent a follow-up email advising that there were a bunch of additional costs. That's bad business. They should have let it be known up front what all additional costs were required for the service.

Start to finish these guys were fantastic. I was a little worried the morning of our move when Robin called to let me know that one of his guys had called in sick and he could only send three, but these guys made up for the difference. The move was done far more quickly than I expected and not a single item was damaged. They even managed to get our giant Restoration Hardware Armoire up a tight staircase without a scratch on the wall. The price was also unbeatable. Great job!

Arrived on time with truck capable of handling load, which included several stacks of tree branches, several large wood panels, lawn chairs, and large bags of leaves. Removed materials quickly and neatly, and were very courteous/responsive.

The crew showed up at both locations on time. The men were professional, friendly and efficient. The company specializes in moving antiques so all of our belongings were handled and packed gently. Upon arrival in WV, our belongings were placed where where we asked and our beds were assembled. We needed them that evening, for sure. Everything went well. I tipped the men who moved us, we had quite a few very heavy pieces of furniture (250 lbs+). I would definitely use them again and I recommend them. They were affordable and superior in service.

We used Quinn's Auction for selling some of our antique furniture, and were so pleased with the work done by their movers that we inquired about how to hire them outside of Quinn's and we were referred to Robin B to schedule a local move. Robin was prompt and responsive when helping us schedule this move. He was able to do the move within 4 days if scheduling. His team was thorough, pleasant, and hard working. They moved some very heavy and difficult pieces of furniture, including one piece that barely fit up the stairs in our 1890 farmhouse, but they did it!!! We plan on using them again soon. Jaime the team lead was great too.

Their guys work worked really hard and were pleasant & professional throughout. There were a couple of minor logistical glitches, but those were at least partly our fault. If you want a small firm with a personal touch, these guys are for you.

The experience started out very positively once I made a phone inquiry to Express Moving &Storage. Robin Boldt get back to me immediately and worked with me to put together a careful estimate. Once approved, he scheduled my move. On moving day, the movers, Douglas, Andre and Elvin arrived at my home 10 minutes early. They were very friendly and careful with my items. They utilized shrink wrap, packing tape, and moving blankets that I supplied to carefully wrap all my furniture into the truck. The nicest surprise it was when I arrived at my new location in Stafford, the truck was packed great, and I experienced no damage or loss. I would give them a thumbs up and I would very happily recommend them to others who are looking for a professional careful mover.

It began with a call to the company to set up the move. I left a message and Robin Boldt called me back within the hour. The movers arrived on time. They were friendly, effective, and efficient. I had total confidence in them (with the prior movers I was cringing and asking them to please be careful). They handled everything with care. When they entered the house they put down a padding over the wood floor. They then entered each room and carefully wrapped each piece of funiture with care. They made sure the secure any moving parts, had baggies for bookshelve holders, and treated everything with great care. The did things right. I was so pleased with the work they did. We bought them lunch yet they did not want to take much of a break, they took about five minutes to eat and went right back to work. They were pleasant, kind, and very easy to be around. When they moved the furniture into our new home with wood floors, at my request they put felt on the bottom of all the furniture and there was not a scratch on the floor. At the end of the day I had a large wardrobe I wanted to deliver to my sister. They were willing to do that and I was glad to have it out of our home.
I can't say enough about how great this company is. I have several friends who are planning to move soon and have passed along the name of this company. The reviews I read talked about how the owners got thier start moving antiques and took great care with all they did. The excellent reviews made me choose them, the great customer service, care and attention to our furniture and belongings have made me a forever customer. I could see using them even for a few hours if we needed to move furniture in our home.

Considering they had 4 stops to make from Alexandria to Annandale 1.pickup a sofa at one stop,2. next stop pick up a three rooms of furniture from a home, 3.deliver furniture to new apartment, 4. deliver sofa. All of this was done with in 4 hours they had their driving directions and delivery instructions all printed out and everything went so smoothly and the moving crew was so polite and patient through all of this

I could not have been more pleased with my move which including packing everything in 4 bedrooms, 2 full and 2 half bathrooms, living room, dining room, den, kitchen and laundry room; transporting everything 300 miles and unloading it in my new home. Robin, Cesar and the team were exceedingly careful with my furniture, fine china, crystal, carpets and personal items. Since I knew Robin personally and knew his experience and values, I did not bother to obtain other quotes. I couldn’t justify going with the unknown at any price, and besides, I thought his quote very reasonable. My confidence in him and the team was rewarded with a high-quality, professional experience. It snowed the day they packed my home and there was snow and ice on the ground the following day as they loaded the moving van. Despite the bad weather, they were always respectful of my hardwood floors and carpets, covering them to keep them safe from harm. The team arrived on time for packing, loading and unloading. I don’t plan to move again, but should I have to, I’d only make one call…to Express Moving and Storage. Oh yes, they broke a glass.

The crew arrived precisely on time. They packed up my mother's belongings in her 2 bdrm appartment and moved them to my house a few miles away. Unloaded the truck according to our instructions (most of the boxes/furniture were for the basement apartment in our house, but a few articles went to other parts of the house). Everything arrived in good condition. The crew was courteous and efficient. Their professionalism was a real stress reducer and was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Express Moving.
