The team was great. They were here on time and the bathroom looks great.

The event that destroyed the condominium interior occurred just before Christmas. By April, the contractor hired by the building insurance company to perform the restoration had replaced the insulation and drywall, but had made no additional progress. After almost 4 months, and many, many attempts, I was unable to obtain status information or any sort of a plan for completing the work. This apartment was rented to a tenant, who was forced out of his home until the renovations could be completed. The situation was untenable, so I gave up on the insurance contractor and asked DGL Construction to do the work instead. Although I was able to give them very little notice, after I explained the situation, Diego (the owner) arranged to assess the work and provide an estimate. He really went out of his way to help, and arranged his already full schedule to fit in this project. Within 3 weeks, Diego and his crew had most of the work finished, to the point my tenant was able to return. I provided some general requirements, made a few selections and ordered appliances, but most of the inspiration came from Diego himself. He even recommended a kitchen layout that improved on the original one. I truly appreciate the work by Diego and his crew over the entire course of the renovation project. The quality of the work, the caliber of the crew, the speed with which it was accomplished and the final result were all outstanding. What was also non-trivial is the amount of stress working with DGL Construction saved me. After trying to work with a group who gave me no feedback, answered none of my questions, and made no discernible progress, what a relief to work with DGL Construction.

We have worked with Lorena and Diego on numerous projects on our property - a half-bath buildout in our basement, exterior door and window replacements, and a master bath reno. They are honest and hardworking and provide some of the most reasonable quotes we've seen from other contractors. On this project, DGL worked on floors, doors, and ceilings, and installed canned lighting and fans in our upstairs rowhome rooms in DC. Diego and his team got straight to work at the scheduled date and quick progress was made of demolition and installation. His team was respectful of the place and did an adequate job controlling dust and debris throughout the rest of the house. DGL hired a few subcontractors as well for the job. To refinish our oak stairs and pine floors upstairs, the crew sanded and stained to our specifications (Monocoat), which came out looking great. We'd hoped they could clean up some of the old/decayed wood filler, but we realize it's complicated in a 90-year old home. DGL also hired a plumber to cut and cap a pipe for us, for which I believe we were charged way too much. I don't blame DGL, but the plumber was out of hand with his pricing. We had an electrician run new lines to each of the bedrooms, which resulted in massive chunks of wall being torn out. DGL's team did the drywall/plaster repair and made it look perfect. We were very impressed with their work. Ultimately, DGL truly transformed our upstairs and we are extremely pleased with the result. We'd highly recommend working with DGL for home projects and will continue working with them in the future.

We recently hired DGL for a laundry/pantry room renovation and they did a terrific job, and in a timely manner. Diego, Fabian, Roger and Lorena were good to work with, listened to our needs, and charged a fair price. They were reliable, hardworking, and did quality work. Recommend them 100%.

We’ve worked with Diego and his team on several home renovation projects including building a new bathroom, fixing water damage, installing new exterior doors, and a full renovation of our upstairs row home. It’s always a pleasure working with Diego - they provide fair prices, are honest and reliable. When issues pop up, as they always do, they are quick to address and find a solution. We found DGL on Angie’s List to get a quote on our basement remodeling project. Diego seemed very knowledgable, positive and transparent from the beginning telling us what to expect in terms of work needed and pricing. He gave us a good price compared to some other (unreasonably high) quotes we got. Diego and his team did a great job with our basement, explaining everything to us and listening to our demands (there were many small things that came up and they were handled very professionally and with a positive attitude by Diego). After that, we decided to use their services also for our two very old style bathrooms upstairs. He told us he would finish them both in 3-4 weeks and despite unforeseen challenges with the infrastructure of both bathrooms (house is from the 30s), they finished on time and within budget! Honestly, it was very smooth and we could not ask for more. His team is also very professional and hardworking. They showed up every day at the same time and cleaned after themselves. Highly recommended! We will hire them again if we decide to do other remodeling work in our house. We already suggested them to several of our friends.

DGL did an amazing job of transforming our dated kitchen. They were very prompt and began work immediately and completed the job very fast causing little inconvenience to our family. They even advised us on the design of the backsplash and allowed us to run to the store and pickup better materials which ultimately made our kitchen look fabulous. I will definitely be hiring DGL again and will be referring them to everyone.

Diego and Fabian were wonderful to work with. They were very meticulous about everything, and made many suggestions to make things easier and cheaper. Our bathroom was beautiful when it was done. We were sad to leave the bathroom when we sold our condo. We will definitely be calling Diego again when we are ready to start projects in our new house.

DGL converted our garage into a guest room, replaced our basement flooring and a number of doors and a number of other projects throughout the house. The whole team was friendly and very easy to work with and communicated well as we dealt with permitting issues. The work looks great and we’re loving our new basement. Would highly recommend DGL and plan to use them again.

DGL Construction and Renovation LLC did a fantastic job remodeling our outdated kitchen. We had a few pre-work consultations to discuss what we wanted, and get ideas from the company on what they'd seen and worked on lately. We had a pretty good idea on the cost from the outset, so there were no surprises later on. They gave us suggestions on ways we could save money, which was so helpful! For example, we wanted a clean modern looking flat front or slab cabinet. Once they priced them out we found it was going to cost more than we had budgeted for. Ikea, however, had something very similar for 1/4 of the prices. Sold! We asked for a custom floor design, which was new to them, and they took it on like champs! (and quite frankly that's what we get the most compliments on). Our countertops were sourced through their contract and we got a great deal on the most beautiful solid stone quartzite (the second most complemented item in our new kitchen!). DGL was able to also move our stove across the kitchen, build out our island to further maximize space, and just overall brighten the whole look. We went from a design that was 20 years old of black shiny everything to clean, modern, bright and open. I couldn't be happier. I should also say that I've used this company multiple times over the years. They helped me out with some duct and drywall work in my basement last year, and some significant structural issues with my foundation and carport in an old house I lived in a few years back. I couldn't be happier, and I know who I'll go to when I finally get around to remodeling our falling apart master bath.

The carpet install went great! DGL had installed carpet in other rooms of the house last year and was brought in to install in one more room to ensure the house matched. DGL showed up on time and installed the carpet in a few hours. Their work was fast and immaculate. Will definitely hire DGL again.

Diego and his crew did a GREAT job with our kitchen remodel! Since we moved in, we knew that the kitchen was going to be our big project in the first few years and we are SO GLAD that we trusted DGL Construction to gut our old kitchen and build our new kitchen from SCRATCH! They were very professional throughout the entire project especially when it came to cleanliness, cost, and quality. They never made us feel like we were being taken advantage of, and throughout the ~6 week project, they always left the house as clean as possible. This job included floors, electric, plumbing, drywall, cabinetry, appliances, and paint; and they were pros at EVERY STEP OF THE WAY! Don't waste your time getting multiple quotes the next time you get your kitchen or bathroom, which DGL has also remodeled for us for us. I've included one picture before construction started (labeled in RED), and three pictures after the remodel was complete.

Diego and his crew were great! They showed up on time, did good work, and were courteous. The price was fair, too. I even had some additional items that I decided to add to the contract, and Diego was very reasonable in pricing those, and did the shopping for the supplies that were needed. Highly recommended!

DGL Construction was fantastic to work with for our project. I will be reaching out to them for any future improvements and would recommend them to family, friends, and neighbors. Diego and his crew were responsive, professional, polite, and worked very efficiently. We worked very well with them in design and they were able to execute our vision accurately and autonomously. They are a family-owned and run operation, which we really liked too. They were able to provide a level of service that larger crews can't provide.

We could not be more impressed with the work completed and the professionalism shown. The entire staff from the owner, work crew and office were responsive and communicated continually regarding all the work and what to expect with the timeline. We were told they would be sure to have everything done exactly to our satisfaction before we paid the last payment. We have recommended them to everyone we know that might want work done and are planning on rehiring them in the fall for a master bathroom renovation for our sons house.

It went great. Diego was responsive and was very thorough with his work! The toilet line was snaked about 40 feet. It runs fine now. And the space was cleaned up- like he was never here!

Wonderfully! The room has a lot of trim (doorways, Windows, chair rail), ceiling beams, a floor to ceiling fireplace on one wall and built-in bookcase/cabinets on another wall--in other words, a lot of detail and different paint services. Additionally, some of the cabinet doors were no longer closing. Diego and his crew did a beautiful job and, as always, went over and above expectations. They restrained the beams, which was not expected but made a great difference. They resolved the issues with the cabinet doors. The paint job could not be better with great attention to detail including finishing/caulking around the fireplace and beams which had not been done well in the past. The finished project, which required three different paints for the walls, trim and bookcase/cabinets is extraordinary. And Diego and his crew could not be more professional or gracious--I will use them again without hesitation and recommend them highly.

DGL Construction & Renovation did an excellent job with our kitchen renovation. Diego and his crew were prompt, friendly, and very responsive to questions and suggestions. The job involved complete demo of the existing kitchen and replacement (in roughly the same layout) of all new materials. Cabinets and tile were purchased separately by owner. Several complications arose with the cabinets themselves, which DGL helped to solve and fixed, even though it involved extra work on their part. New lighting/electrical was installed. All plumbing with new materials done. Removal of existing tile and countertops completed and replaced with new tile and granite. Marble backsplash installed. Job was done in just over two weeks, which was great. Great attention to detail and very pleased overall with the results. The only thing I would have done differently is have DGL inspect the existing walls prior to placing the new cabinets, counter, and backsplash. Our walls were warped, so caused a slight issue with the alignment of cabinets, countertop, and backsplash. DGL did the best they could, but replacing the walls would have been preferred in hindsight. I would definitely use them again for additional services.
