front desk promised torque stick would be used on lug nuts, it wasn't so short cuts used with the air of professionalism; hard to watch the going's on with windows blocked.

They are always happy to explain the process and prioritize what repairs are necessary right away and what you can delay or forego entirely. I ended up spending three hours in their waiting room (they offered a shuttle but I preferred to wait) and it was very clean, comfortable, and they ended up giving me my oil change for free due to the longer than usual wait time. Great business!

They determined it was a defective part causing the problem. The part was under warranty, and they replaced it without cost to me. Service was done the same day. They kept me informed of their progress by phone and were able to give me an accurate completion time. Very efficient and professional. Easy to work with.

They are very professional. They are a pretty honest business. The prices are very reasonable. They have coupons on Groupon as well. I have used them multiple times, and will be going back.

They were a lot cheaper than the dealer. They were courteous, they know their stuff and they got good prices. They were easy to deal with and they fetch you if you're getting a bad flat tires. They would take you right in to help you out so they do work with you. They were very informative and good. They were helpful to me. I would recommend them to anybody. It's convenient.

Made an appointment for goupon services. Asked them how long it would take and they estimated an hour. They promptly began service on my car on the day of the appointment. They showed me the air filter and suggested it was time to change it. I thought their price was fair and the condition warranted it, so OK'd their suggestion to change it. In their documentation for the inspection (part of the oil change) they noticed that there was severe dry rot and splitting on my 2 year old Michelin tires. I will be ordering non-Michelin tires through tire rack and plan to report back here. They were done in an hour. Just wanted to comment that I have used their service a few times (they are conveniently located) and they have been a pleasure to work with. Sure, they want to sell added services, but they are reasonable and explain. The decision is up to you and I've only felt minor sales pressure. They have a nice waiting room with wi-fi and complimentary K-cup coffee and a clean restroom. They take the time to explain and their work seems reasonable and of quality so far. As far as the tires go, based on their documented report and after taking a look at the tires (I hadn't really looked at them before) I could see cracking. They are only 2 years old and have about 20k miles on them, well within the warranty period, I thought. I had been a long time Michelin customer. Well, I contacted Michelin and they gave me some guff about the ozone and a complicated procedure designed to discourage customers without the guarantee of a satisfactory resolution. I would have at least expected accepting my report and offering a credit towards new tires, or a check for the remaining unrealized time or distance. Very disappointing. Michelin has lost me as a customer and a recommender and I will be ordering another brand from tire rack and plan to report back on how the installation goes. I had the Michelin's installed at another place and they initially would not honor the tire rack installation rates - I had to pay the higher rates but eventually got a refund for the difference after bringing the matter to the attention of their management.

Community Car Care (the Garage) was chosen after reviewing previous ratings from other customers. Appointment was scheduled within 1 day. Service cost was quoted for 4 wheel alignment. I dropped car off the evening before the appointment, prior to closing. Service Rep stated the car would be moved from front parking to secure parking in rear overnight. The next morning, the service rep called to inform me in addition to front toe angle being out of tolerance, that camber was out of tolerance on all 4 wheels. He stated the original quote was for toe only, that camber adjustment could be made for more than (double) the cost originally quoted. I approved the additional work, though I was frustrated that the deal changed radically. My expectations about what constitutes a 4 wheel alignment were based upon 40 years of car ownership and maintenance experience, every previous alignment ever performed on any previous car, resulted in all adjustable settings being returned to nominal, not just toe angle. The Service Rep. stated their policy of adjusting only toe is standard procedure for this geographic area. (Not true) Then the Service Rep. stated that the alignment was the least of the problems discovered, that the car was leaking coolant very badly and left a trail of coolant from the rear parking area to the service bay. He further stated the source of the leaking coolant was the water pump, and that they recommended the car not be driven further. He quoted their price for replacement of the defective water pump as approximately $900. I had replaced the water pump on a preventative basis, about 30,000 miles prior and the car had not leaked a drop since that replacement 6 years ago. I told them I would be returning to the Garage to pick up my car immediately following completion of the alignment, that work on the water pump was NOT authorized. I arrived at the Garage, paid for the alignment and drove the car to another shop for a second opinion about the water pump. The second shop inspected and tested the cooling system and found no leaks, and found nothing wrong with the water pump. I subsequently have driven the car for 4 weeks and have not experienced any problems, leaks, or loss of coolant from the cooling system.

They are knowledgeable, professional, punctual and honest. I have no problem sending my wife or daughter to have their car looked over. With professionals like Eric and Jeremy, you can rest assured you'll get an honest opinion, good work, and they stand behind it all! Its a relief to find a shop you can trust!

I had first gone to another repair place to diagnose problems with my car's air conditioner, uneven tire wear and more. Company X did an inspection and told me I needed a work to the tune of $3700! For that kind of money, I wanted a second opinion. I found Community Car Care on Angie's List, within walking distance of my home. They told me what was really needed now, and what could wait. For example, Company X said I needed to change my transmission fluid; Community said it didn't need changing yet.. Company X said I needed to replace two belts; Community agreed, and did it for $134 less than Company X quoted. I didn't get the spark plugs replaced yet, but when I do, Community will charge me $170 less than Company X. Community took a cautious approach, suggesting minimal fixes first, and only doing additional procedures suggested by Company X if the initial approach didn't resolve the problem. But in all cases, Community charged MUCH less. They even told me that while they normally do an alignment when replacing tires, I didn't need one this time because a recent alignment elsewhere still checked out within spec. That saved me even more! Community Car Care provides good, honest service at excellent prices.

An "A" rating is not enough - Smith's Center deserves an "A+++"! I've been taking our vehicles to Smith's for several years and have always been COMPLETELY SATISFIED. Willie and Houn are HONEST, OUTSTANDING MECHANICS AND EXPERT DIAGNOSTICIANS. They're also engaging and fun - they're good people - I enjoy talking with them. THOROUGH, GET THE JOB DONE, AND DO ONLY WHAT'S ACTUALLY NEEDED. They solve any problem every time. They also CLEARLY EXPLAIN what the problem was and how they fixed it. The vehicle is always READY ON TIME IF NOT BEFORE the promised time. Estimates are always right on target and very reasonable. SMITH'S IS THE MOST RELIABLE AUTO CENTER THAT I'VE EVER DEALT WITH. Peace of mind - I always leave knowing that my vehicle has been thoroughly checked and is safe to drive.

They are honest and do exactly what you need, and not anything more. A couple of years back I had a number of estimates and he ended up finding a problem the other places hadn't. It wasn't my air conditioner but rather my clutch. Therefore, my cost was only $300 compared to $1300. They are experts and definitely know what they're doing. Their place is unbelievably clean and they are very professional.

Anytime something is wrong with my car I go there. I first started going there several years ago. I send all of my friends to them as well. They always do a great job. The place is extremely clean and they are very honest.

When I made the appointment, Willie told me they had a guy who had done that work for them for years; he was very good. When I picked up the car, there was a metal antennae hanging horizontally across the top of the windshield to both sides of the rear mirror below the headliner. I asked Willie about it and he told me that the guy who replaces windshields for Smith's Center will not replace the items that are attached to the windshield (like this antennae). I asked if there were some way to reposition the antennae so that it was not in the driver/passenger field of view, perhaps with double sided tape and left to pick up the car later. When I returned, the antennae was stuck with double sided tape to the top of the windshield but still in view. I was even charged $4 for the tape. I will not use Smith's Center anymore. His operation has been in business for years. His father had the business before him. He's probably one of the best kept secrets...he doesn't advertise and doesn't need to.
