Description of Work: Removed several trees and trimmed a number of other trees. We had a large limb that had fallen on our barn, and they removed that as well.

Description of Work: A very large silver maple was totally removed from a small backyard without easy access for the tree-removing machinery. The branches of the tree spanned three neighboring yards. We coordinated with a neighbor, who had driveway access, to make space for a huge crane that would to lift the necessary machinery into the backyard and also remove pieces of the tree as they were removed by the workers. The remaining stump was removed below ground and the ground material was spread around the garden beds as mulch. The entire process involved five workers (including the company owner), three trucks, a crane, a wood chipper, a stump grinder, and a small lifting truck. The work took 5 hours start to finish (original rough estimate was for 6 hours--so very close).

Description of Work: Removed huge limb from maple tree which had broken off during a storm and was lying across roof. Cut down remainder of the very large tree and removed debris. At my request left a portion of tree wood chips for mulch.

Description of Work: We had a large Bradford Pear tree break in half during the nasty storm early this month. I called Ashley during the storm (assuming they were about to get real busy) and asked him to send a crew out to remove the tree and grind the stump. We had used him before and I did not feel an estimate was needed, plus it saved him a trip. The crew cleared the tree within two days, while Ashley was getting 40 calls an hour from other storm victims. I agreed to wait on the stump grinding until he gets caught up.

Description of Work: Prune neighbor's tree back. I have a neighbor that planted an Oak tree in her front lawn next to my property line and too close to our townhouses. The neighbor refuses to do anything about the tree. I had two estimates done by Absolute tree and another company. I requested that both companies give me three estimates. One estimate was basic pruning on my side of the property. Another estimate was major pruning on my side of the property. The final estimate, most expensive, was correctly pruning all around the tree. Well, the neighbor refused to contribute anything or or take on any responsibility for her tree maintenance. So, I had major pruning done on my side. For the basic tree pruning on my side of the property, Absolute Tree was more expensive than the other company. However, they stated the they could match the price. Since my neighbor refuses to accept responsibility for her tree, I decided to have major pruning on my side to save on pruning costs in the future. Absolutes estimate was $150 less expensive than the other company for major pruning on my side. If my neighbor was willing to accept some responsibility and help with the cost on HER tree, Absolute's estimate was $325 less expensive to have the whole tree done compared to the other company. I feel that this is also important. I live on Old Town Alexandria and parking can be tight. The other company told me that I had to go to City Hall and get no parking signs so they can park their trucks in front of my house. I assume they were going to use a cherry picker. Absolute told me that was not required and they would be able to climb and prune my tree without touching my neighbor's property.

Description of Work: Prior to purchasing a home, as a condition of sale, requested Ashley Davis and crew to remove a tree that was extending over neighboring property. Also requested removal of one additional tree and pruning of another.

Description of Work: We had over 9 Rose of Sharon bushes removed, removed a Holly Tree (a bush that had grown into a 30 foot tree); we also had dead branches removed from a large tree in our front yard; in our backyard: we removed branches from a wild Cherry tree, and a low hanging branch removed from a tree on our property but outside our fence.

Description of Work: A too-large cherry tree was removed from the front of my town house, the stump bored out, and a six-foot dogwood tree, planted in its place. In order to accomplish this, the crew had to remove a foot high stone wall around the tree and replace it, which they did quicker than I thought possible. They cleared away all the debris, added top soil to the enclosed area and mulched it. The area looked great when they left. They came on time, worked quickly and were very polite and professional.

Description of Work: They removed two mature Locust trees that were 1- in the back corner of my property and 2- right next to the corner of my garage. They also removed a 30' Holly, removed three stumps of other trees, and reduced the height of two other Hollys, one of which was interfering with power lines. Finally, they trimmed some dead branches of an enormous Pine in front of my home.
