It went fine from proposal development and acceptance thru completion of the work. Work was done when promised, work was done well and the property was left clean.

Their price was very good - they didn't try to upsell me. They came and did the work quickly and cleaned up afterwards.

Ashley Davis (the owner) came by a few days beforehand to meet me and get an idea of what we wanted done. Then he sent me an estimate and a contract by e-mail, which I signed and sent back. Then we agreed on a date for the work to be performed. His crew was prompt, got to work, and didn't mind that I stuck around to watch the whole thing. They moved their truck when I asked them to when a neighbor needed to move his car. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves when done. I was impressed. They aren't the cheapest around, but their workmanship is excellent.

The experience was great right from the first phone call. Very professional person who took down my information and also gave me options I hadn't even thought about. She asked if we wanted the stump ground down or just cut as close as possible to the ground. Since we have a sprinkler system, we agreed to just cut the tree as close to the ground as possible. A team of three men arrived in the afternoon - two of them immediately started pulling away the stacked up yard debris while the other climbed the tree. The first time I saw the top of the tree come down I thought I was going to have a heart attack. I was sure that the huge top portion of that tree was going to go right through the pool cover. But the guys knew what they were doing and the tree top stopped several feet from the ground. They'd attatched everything to a pulley system and carefully lowered the cut off portion of the tree to the ground where it could then be cut smaller and hauled away. When all the work was finished, one of the men raked up the remaining debris while another blew off the patio from all the smaller pieces that were created from the chain saw. They left the yard in perfect condition, no plants hurt in this entire process and I have barely a stump where the old tree used to be. The office staff were helpful, professional and courteous. The team that arrived knew their stuff and got to it, quickly and efficiently. The price was great as well. I would highly recommend this company for tree work.

I was happy with what he did. You couldn't even tell the tree had been there because they cleaned up so well.

Their response was timely with providing the estimate after the intial contact. They informed us, in a reasonable amount of time when the tree would be removed. This was after our HOA approved the removal. The work was excellent. I had no clean up. They had to return to remove the stump and surface roots. This was as expected. They returned in several days and the work was exceptional. Left us with alot of mulch. I liked that. I was so pleased I mailed the check for the balance the next day.

There was some miss communication in the begining but after that everything went smoothly. I will update again after the work is complete.

I was pleased with Absolute Tree from the beginning. They called me immediately after I e-mailed them and setup an appointment (without me having to be there) and e-mailed me the proposal. They already had positive reviews on Angie's List but it was their competitive price and insistence on making sure that I knew they were licensed/insured and a legit business that wrapped it up all nicely. They scheduled my date and when weather turned bad they called to let me know they will have to reschedule. On the rescheduled day they came out did the job and cleaned up very thoroughly. If I didn't notice the tree was missing I would not have thought they came out at all that's how thorough they were. The only negative, which really isn't one, is that they did not tell me that the stump would be removed at another time. I had to e-mail them to get that clarified. However, when they did come out to remove the stump I was once again very pleased at how clean they left everything. I would not hesitate to have them take care of any future tree maintenance/work again at my home.

Overall, the experience was terrific. The ash tree in our backyard hung over our roof in a few places and we were looking to either have the tree pruned or taken down completely. Since the tree is an ash, it is susceptible to the Emerald Ash Borers, so we decided to go with complete removal. We got a few quotes from some other local companies to remove the ash tree and decided to go with Absolute. We were scheduled to have the work done on the day of the "huge snowstorm" but earlier in the week Absolute rescheduled for the following week. The crew arrived on time the day of the job. The original plan was for them to use the cherry picker which probably would have been a lot quicker. Since we have some inground drainage near the tree that I didn't want to be damaged, they had to change their change plans and send Rolando up the tree. It took about six hours for the tree to come down and disposed of. It would have been quicker had the cherry picker been able to be used. The crew did a terrific job on the tree. I have already recommended Absolute to our neighbor who is having them take down a few trees in his yard. This was the first time we have had this kind of work done on our property and with that came a million questions. Ashley Davis was very accommodating with our questions. I will continue to recommend Absolute Tree for this type of work in the future.

I called to schedule an appointment to trim a couple of holly trees and was told by a woman that they do not service my city. The service area that they said they cover on the Angie's List website includes Prince William County and that is where I live, but they refused to service my area. I am upset that they will not abide by their stated service area and honor the coupon. If they won't honor this then it makes me wonder what else they won't stand by.

I got an estimate from the provider on 17 Oct 2011. I had an Angies list coupon that expired on 28 Nov 2011 That cost $250.00 for $500.00 worth of work. Absolute Tree gave me an estimate to trim all my trees for $2300.00. I asked what would it cost to trim the two pines in the back and they said $625. Called them several times before the expiration date in the coupon and they never called back. I guess they were swamped with work or people were sick and they would return the call eventually. Now that you reminded me to fill out a review I think the nwork should be done

Overall, I had a positive experience with Absolute Tree and would consider using them again. I called for a quote, and Jill, who answered the phone, was very pleasant in taking down my information. She explained that someone would come the next day to give an estimate and that I need not be home for purposes of the estimate. The estimate arrived via email the next day from the owner, Ashley Davis, and it was well below a few of the quotes I previously received and about equal to another that I had received. Before I accepted the proposal, I requested that some firewood be left behind and that I receive two days notice before work begun. Mr. Davis agreed without hassle and immediately proposed a work date. I accepted the proposal via email. The entire estimate, proposal and acceptance process really could not have been easier. The guys arrived on time, and I went to go get them coffee. They were very appreciative. They worked quickly and with purpose. Generally speaking, they did a fine job and I have no complaints. I do, however, have some constructive feedback in terms of their handling of the tree in between my and my neighbors house. After the limbs were removed, which were roped-off and then lowered one-by-one, they then began the process of cutting-down the trunk. They did not rope-off the trunk pieces. Instead, they cut the trunk into rather large and heavy sections and then let them fall to the ground. I watched as one hit and shook the ground, and then rolled into the fence separating my and my neighbors' properties. Another time, it rolled into my house. It turns-out the fence and house were fine. Still, I think a little more caution was in order and, if I had to do it over again, I would have insisted that the trunk be removed in a safer fashion. They cleaned-up nicely and the the firewood was exactly where I asked them to place it and it was neatly stacked. Overall, a good experience.

The estimate from Absolute Tree Inc was quite a bit more than expected. He wanted to charge for each group of trees. Their responsiveness and professionalism were excellent.

Absolute Tree was very responsive when I contacted them for an estimate. The work was scheduled within a reasonable timeframe and the crew arrived on time and went right to work. I used Absolute Tree before to remove 2 spruce and 1 small maple tree. They did such a good job that I asked them to come back and remove the large maple. This company is very responsive and professional and they did a thorough job of cleaning up after the removal.

The crew of 5 arrived on time, and went right to work. (They recalled that they had removed a couple of other trees for us 3 years ago.) The trucks and equipment were spotless, and the machinery well maintained. They knew just what to do, and didn't have to jabber much about anything. The crew chief estimated it would take about 4 hours and it ended up about 3.5 hours - pretty close. They dug (and later replanted) up a small ornamental tree so it wouldn't get damaged. I got two other bids for this job (also from highly rated Angies' List providers. The other bids were $1440, and $1400 (before the 10% Angies' List discount) So, as I see it, I got the best provider for the best price (by far). Can't go wrong with that. They did a thorough job of cleaning up after the removal.

I purchased a Big Deal from Absolute Tree Inc 23 May 2012. (Tree Svc -329720-1) with an expiration date of 20 Sep 2012. After recuperating from serious surgery I called them in July to schedule the work. The person I spoke with said my coupon was expired. I gave him the details and with poor grace he said he would have to send a person to drive by my home and look at the trees to give me an estimate. I discussed the deal with him and said an estimate wasn't needed as all I wanted was completion of the "Big deal" which was $300.00 of tree services for $150.00. He continued to insist he needed to send someone by the house. Needless to say I never say an estimator,nor did I receive the promised call. I called back and left a message about three to four weeks after my initial call (August) and never heard from them again. After my surgery I had multiple items I needed to catch up with and multiple medical and physical therapy appointments and did not have the time, energy, nor inclination to chase them down. I would like a full refund .

We have used Absolute Tree, Inc. before to take down one of our large Oak trees. They did such a good job that we asked him/his company to come back and remove another tree. We were very sad to lose these Oak tees because of construction damage when our house was built. Ashley, the owner, and Jill, who works the front office are very polite, responsive and professional. They give the most competitive quotes and discounts for Angie's list members. For this particular job, Ashley's crew took down a very large Oak in our front yard. Accidentally, some of his workers pulled out some plants in the front yard during the clean up. When I told Ashley that I would like to have the cost of replacing the plants taken from the bill I owed him, he worked with me on it. I appreciate his patience as we got an estimate from our landscaper, and then paid the bill minus the cost for replacing the plants. I appreciate the fact that Ashley was very professional about the whole thing, and really tries to make sure his customers are satisfied and happy, even after the job is performed.

They did a fine job. I have no complaints about their work. They cleaned up very nicely. My only problem was that they did not communicate well as to when they are going to show up. It was a surprise but that was okay. I guess they were working outside so they figured that they could just do it. However I have no complaints. Their price was good. As for their punctuality, they were punctual; they came on their own time.

The men arrived on time, and were very professional. The man who went up the tree and did all of the cutting had a very good eye for what needed to be done. I didn't have to guide him at all. Work time was about 2 hours. They used a chipper and cleaned up the yard very well.

I would not use this company again and would not recommend them. The woman in the office is very nice, but was very difficult to deal with. She was very unorganized, didn't call me back when she said she would, couldn't find me in the system when I called to inquire about my estimate (she said I'd have it in a day or two, but it took nearly two weeks), never responded to an email I sent to her (I had to call again) and seemed to have no clue what the company did (each time I called, she had to call someone else to find out the answer to my question). After I signed the contract, I was never contacted to set up an appointment for the work. Instead, the crew just showed up (I happened to be home, but would normally have been at work). What a hassle. The crew did fine work, although it would have been nice if they had been able to give me some advice on shaping the cedar. I asked them how much they thought it should be pruned back and they basically shrugged and said they would cut what I told them to. The deal I bought was $150 for $300 worth of service, and I certainly did not get $300 worth.

My husband and I had been in Jacksonville, Fla. for the previous 6 days to help with the childcare of our grandchildren. At 7am on a Saturday morning in June (I believe) I got a cell phone call from my neighbor that an unusual and very intense wind system had hit the area during the night and had done a lot of damage. There was a very large sugar maple tree near the front of our house; when the neighbor walked outside early that morning, she saw that the wind had blown it over and the tree was gently resting on the roof area over our kitchen. She and her husband had checked the interior of our home and saw that the tree had not gone through the roof and that the kitchen's interior was intact. I had our personal phone directory with me; we had previously used Absolute Tree, Inc on a couple of occasions and were impressed with how well the men handled cutting some trees down for us and cleaning up all the debris. We decided not to waste any time and called Ashley Davis of Absolute Tree, Inc to take a look at the tree and the house and to assess the damage for us. He said he was in the neighborhood working and would come down to look. My husband and I immediately left Jacksonville and headed home (this was a 12 hour trip). Ashley called us on the cell about 6 hours later, told us that the tree was putting more and more weight onto the roof increasing damage potential and was tearing the guttering off. He gave us an estimate over the phone, we verbally agreed to the amount, and asked him when he could do the work. Ashley told us he could have his guys over to the house the next day (Sunday morning). The men showed up about 11 am and handled removing all the branches from the roof without any damage, cut apart and removed the trunk without damaging the house any further, and totally cleaned up all the debris. I believe there were four guys working and they completed the job about 6pm. Because so much damage had been done in our area resulting in a high demand for tree service due to home damage, we decided to wait to have the stump removed. We have contacted Absolute Tree to remove the stump and roots later this month. Over the last several years, the company has taken down 2 trees for us and has thinned and raised the crown on trees for us. We have always been impressed with their abilities and their work ethic. We would recommend them for any kind of tree service.

It didn't go well. I ended up not using them. I had very little contact with them. They lost my email twice and never called. I got frustrated and decided not to use them. They apologized but the situation did not get better. I finally got mad and gave up. They did give me my money back.

I purchased a coupon for 150.00 for tree trim. Contacted the company a few times as we played phone tag. When we finally made contact, I had to set up a time for them to come and see the tree and give me an estimate. They never came. I phoned back and was told that he was on the road and would probably stop at my place in an hour or so. I was told to watch my email for the estimate. I phoned back the following day and asked why I needed an estimate when the coupon stated it was 150.00 for a tree trim. I was told, "Well, what if the work is more", I said we'll see what it comes to. I thought for sure it would be within the $300 limit, but felt this was a scam. A few days later I was called because they could not find my paperwork and forgot what I needed done. I explained it again. The estimate came in on 1/16/13 at 425.00. I had enough and requested a refund. If I buy a coupon that states 150.00, I expect that work to be completed. All I wanted was the branch touching the house cut back. Never asked for more than the coupon offered.

I ended up not using not using them because I was out of their service area, but they were responsive and let me know right away that they did not service area.
