Absolute Tree Inc

I contacted Absolute Tree Services on 23 Oct using their website to request an appointment. I received a confirmation email noting "Please allow us a few moments to review your request. Someone will be in touch with you shortly." I have not heard back after one week. Update: After my initial review, Absolute Tree contacted me right away - successfully via email. A testament to AL I suppose. The company owner stayed in contact with a me over the weekend to set up an appointment on Monday afternoon, a testament to the owner's desire to be responsive. We met Tuesday morning and I had a quote to perform work that afternoon. I have a few weeks before I need to make a decision on service.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal - $150 for $300 of Tree Service. I had just a few branches to trim about twenty-five feet off the ground. I called Absolute tree after purchasing the Big Deal and they told me someone would give me a proposal. I reminded them that I purchased the Big Deal and only needed a few branches trimmed, they basically ignored me. Today I got an email with a proposal for $700 to trim a few branches. This is outrageous! I want a refund.

We contacted Absolute Tree Inc during a weekend, TC came to our home the following Monday 9/23 and arrived promptly. I showed him which trees we wanted removed in our front/side/backyards. I asked for suggestions and opinions, he provided me with helpful information - I found him to be forthcoming and honest. He sent me an estimate that very same day. We received estimates from two other Angie's List vendors as well. During a meeting with another vendor, it was determined more trees needed to be removed because they were either dead or infested, this vendor marked all trees/bushes to be removed and provided an estimate to us that same day. We then contacted TC asked him to come back out and take a look at the trees that had been added, he arrived with Ashley. They both agreed the additional trees needed to be removed and provided an updated quote. We found their price to be very fair and accepted their estimate. We scheduled the crew on 10/22, and they arrived promptly on the day requested. The team of 7 accomplished the work efficiently and were very professional. During the process, we were able to identify some additional tree removal required. The owner and team manager on site (Abraham) both helped negotiate a fair price for the extra work, all of which was accomplished rapidly and satisfactorily. They were also fastidious in site cleanup, the entire job was accomplished in less than 2 days. We have additional trees we are considering removing and we will definitely call Absolute Tree Inc when the time comes. While doing work on our property, several neighbors watched them and were impressed with their work, they asked Absolute to do some work for them and they did it on the spot (it did not affect our job). We highly recommend them!

They were incredible. I contacted three companies listed on Angies list, and they not only offered the most competitive price, but the they called me as they surveyed the work (I was not able to be there), to make sure I walked them through everything that needed to be done. It took a large crew, but the amount of work and quality of work they were able to finish in half a day was amazing. The crew was professional and courteous. They went above and beyond to accommodate a few additional requests on the day of the job. My yard looks incredible following their work. I would recommend them to anyone looking for tree/lawn service.

Absolute Tree, Inc is a first rate company. You get everything you ask for delivered by a professional and courteous staff (both in the office and in the field). After getting quotes from several reputable tree service companies, I was hesitant to go with low bidder because it was so much lower than the others. My fears were NOT realized. Absolute Tree carefully took down an 80 foot pine tree in a very confided section of my backyard. They did the work safely and efficiently. The crew were professional in every aspect of the job -- from set up to clean up. Well done!

Finding a company to handle tree removal can be tricky, because we have someone knock on our door almost every week, offering to remove the huge dead tree in our backyard. At times, I wanted to just say yes and get it over with, but I knew that I needed to find a well-rated company that had a business license, insurance and worker's compensation, so I turned to Angie's List. I called two companies and asked them both come out to give estimates. I liked Absolute because they called before they came and since I was home I was able to discuss the project with them. Ashley Davis was very knowledgeable and said he could schedule the appointment soon. The estimates were identical prices except that one included the 10% Angie's List discount and one did not. Absolute Tree's estimate included the discount already so it was more expensive. I showed the other estimate to Ashley and he matched it. We had a miscommunication on the work date, but Absolute was able to move some things around to accommodate our schedule. A four man crew arrived on time and were very professional. Our backyard is a ravine that is not easily accessible, so no big equipment could be brought in. My family enjoyed watching one worker climb the tree and cut it down in sections with directional assistance from the three guys on the ground. We chose to keep the wood on-site for our fireplace, so that guys chopped the trunk into sections that we will later be able to chop into firewood. The removal was quick and easy for us. I wish I had done it a long time ago. Thanks, Absolute! We will use you again if the need arises.

The Absolute team showed up right on time, they were all courteous and professional. It was obvious after watching for just a few minutes, the worker who performed the main branch cutting was experienced and took care to cut each limb clean at an angle. The workers were happy to cut up usable large limbs into firewood sized pieces and used a leaf blower to clean up all the remaining debris.

We were extremely pleased with this company! Their prices were competitive with estimates we received from other companies. They were prompt and did an excellent job of cleaning the area. Will call them for future tree removal needs.

Great service. Price was very competitive- about 2/3 the cost of the other three estimates I obtained prior to the service. Crew came on the agreed day and removed the tree in approximately two hours. They were very conscientious of my grass, and cleaned up exceedingly well. Two of my neighbors commented on what a great job they did, and one subsequently called them to get an estimate for tree removal on their property. I will definitely use them again for any tree work I need.

Provider was hard to schedule with. Was not impressed with lack of customer service or actual work done.

The service and pricing we received from Absolute was great. They arrived timely and worked quickly. They also did some additional work for us, which was not scheduled, once they got there for an additional (very reasonable) fee. I will definately use them for my tree services in the future!

Absolute Tree showed up as scheduled. The workmen did an excellent job of pruning an oak tree that is approximately 75 feet tall. The oak had two large dead limbs and otherwise required pruning of small and moderate sized branches and sticks. The work was performed in a manner that ensured no damage to my gardens below the tree. Heavy branches were slowly lowered by ropes. All debris was removed after the pruning; patio furniture set back in place; and the patio and lawn cleaned up as well. I was extremely pleased with the work done and happily surprised by how efficiently this kind of job can be done by capable workmen. The oak looks wonderful; brand new. Absolute is highly recommended.

It was picture-perfect and we could not be more satisfied. The price was by far the most competitive and the work was performed to the highest standards. That meant when I returned from work the tree was gone and the only evidence was the stump, period. Thanks again, Absolute Tree!

Scheduling was the only problem. They seemed to know what they were doing.

We were very happy with tree work performed at our residence by Absolute Tree, Inc. We live in a neighborhood that is heavily wooded with mature trees well over 50 years old. For this job, we needed several large branches removed from a 60-year-old Maple tree that overhangs our house. One of these branches was 40 feet in the air, at least 30 feet in length, and heavily hung with leaves. Absolute Tree owner Ashley Davis gave us a fair price to do the requested work (we obtained three estimates for the job). We were impressed that the company has so many strong recommendations on Angie's List, and that the owner is a certified arborist -- and of course fully licensed and insured. The crew showed up on time and did a neat and professional two-hour job roping off, removing, and carefully lowering the large branches to the ground (we watched the entire process from start to finish). Crew leader "Rolando" is a skilled tree climber and does excellent work. Owner Davis stopped by to check in on the job while in progress, and stayed for 30 minutes, which we appreciated. After completion, the crew removed all debris and swept up, leaving the yard perfectly clean. We are "picky" customers but we had no concerns or complaints. I will use this tree company again in the future without hesitation.

Excellent! We were so pleased with the work they did for us last year, that this year I didn't bother running around getting estimates. Absolute Tree's pricing is reasonable and they do good work. They earned our repeat business. Yet again, they showed up exactly at 8 a.m. One crew worked on a very large, wide tree in front and the other crew worked on the three telephone pole-looking trees. Each person had their assigned task and worked hard all day. By afternoon, they finished with the 4 tall trees. The shorter 5th tree was cut down while the stumps were being ground up. By 4:30 the trees were gone, all tree debris gone, and there were small mounds of chipped tree stumps (perfect for my garden). Another bonus to Absolute Tree is they are licensed and bonded. 10 years ago, I had a neighbor brag to me about what a great deal he got on a tree trimming service. They came out while he was at work. Long story short, when a huge limb fell on his house, they ran for their truck, and were never seen again. I looked at a blue tarp on that roof for the next six months. Absolute Tree seems to know what they are doing, but if something does go wrong, you know you are covered. We highly recommend Absolute Tree!

Great job. We purchased a Big Deal for $150 for $300 of tree services. Jill at Absolute Tree was a huge help and scheduled our appointment even though we had let the Big Deal expire by accident. We owed an additional $130 or so since the job was large -- which was more than reasonable. They also offer a 10% Angie's List discount for all services! They did a great job and the tree was much reduced when we got back from vacation -- and all the mess cleaned up. Would be curious to hear how they do on larger jobs, but given our brief experience would highly recommend.

The group got there on time and were completely professional. They did a fanatastic job and I would use them again without question!

It was good in terms of the work he did, I thought there were some communication problems, I thought I was suppose be here wait for him but he didn't come.

These guys are fantastic. I first used them last year with an Angie's List "big deal" coupon to trim just one tree (birch). I was satisfied and called them again this year to trim all three trees (birch, holly, and deciduous magnolia) in the front. This year, I was more than "satisfied," I was impressed. They were very responsive and pleasant. They came quickly. They didn't leave so much as a leaf on the ground. I live in a row house with no off street parking so it's also a tricky job. I've dealt with other tree "experts" over the past 15 years, but none has ever done as good a job as Ashley's team did. I'm just glad I found them.

They came on time. Everything was done as I requested. They do what they say they're going to do.

Although I was not here during the service, Absolute Tree did a good job according to my wife. Tree was taken down carefully and the yard was reasonably cleaned up afterward. Their price was very competitive too, so if you have tree work to be done, I would give them a call.

We knew tree removal would be expensive and contacted Ashley Davis at Absolute Tree Inc. for a quote. He came to our house in person and walked through the yard with us to give his advice along with a preliminary price quote. After he left he had emailed a detailed quote in writing along with supporting documentation of certification and insurance within 30 minutes of leaving our home! There was nothing to haggle over. For the amount of work we wanted done, including stump grinding with heavy machinery- the price was completely fair. The company has a great reputation so don't expect to have the work done the next day due to their popularity....but its not a terrible wait for a quality job done well. Two crews were sent to our house to do the job. When I returned home from work at the end of the day I couldn't even tell that they had needed to run over the front yard in order to access the trees in the back. They even cleaned up the messy branches my husband had left around the yard from his attempt at tree clean up! What seemed like a daunting project to us was made easy and painless thanks to Absolute Tree Inc. When we need tree work done again, there will be no need to shop around, read reviews and price things out with anyone else. Absolute Tree Inc. will be our "go to" company for tree work and we will happily recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

We contacted this tree service regarding a large maple tree in our backyard that seemed to be dying. While they quickly came out and assessed our tree, they did not knock on the door so we could not ask about other services like stump grinding or additional tree limb removal. After getting several other estimates, we discovered that the quote given to us by Absolute Tree was by far the lowest cost. So, we contacted them via email, requesting stump grinding in addition to the removal of the tree. They added this into the contract and set up a date to come out for removal a couple of weeks later. The date we scheduled arrived and it was raining. After waiting a couple of hours to see if the company would call to let us know their intentions, we finally called their office at 10:30am. The woman who answered the phone did not know, but did call me back within 20 minutes stating the crew was on it's way. They showed up at 12:30pm. When the crew arrived, they identified themselves and said they were there to remove the tree. When asked how long it would take them to complete the removal and stump grinding, the foreman stated the grinding was scheduled for the following day. A two day evolution had not been mentioned in any of our communications. Luckily it only required a minor adjustment to our schedule but could have easily been an issue. We asked the foreman what the price would be if we had an additional stump ground at the same time, since a different tree in the front yard had come down over the weekend. The foreman stated we should call the office to arrange the additional work. So, we called the office at 12:45 with no answer and again at 1:30 and 2:30 with still no answer. The voicemail gave a phone number for the owner of the company if we had an emergency. Since it was not an emergency, we did not call this number but instead sent an email to see if we could get a response for the additional work while the crew was still working on the tree. Meanwhile, the crew began work on the tree removal in the backyard. They were not able to access the maple with the cranes they had brought, so the crew took turns climbing the tree with rigging. They were careful to remove the larger branches without dropping them onto the fence, shed, or electrical box. It took them approximately 3 hours to remove all of the larger branches and strip the tree down to its main trunk and then another 45 minutes to cut down the remainder. In the morning, we received an invoice for the work we initially agreed upon but no information on the additional stump removal. After asking about this again, the owner of the company responded that he was sorry for not getting back to us sooner and that the additional work was no problem as long as the stump was easily accessible. Since his crew was already there and the stump was relatively small, they included the additional stump grinding at no added cost. Overall, the crew did excellent work and we would probably use them again because of their good pricing. Our only negative comment would be that we would have preferred a little more face-to-face interaction with the company and better communiation via phone.
