Greenify Energy Savers

He was early. Not used to that. He evaluated the area. Made recommendations. But did what we wanted. I think it went well.

Greenify did an excellent job. They performed all tasks at the designated times at the agreed upon price. They were always on time, answered all questions, took care not to damage anything, and cleaned up after themselves. The process took two days, but we knew that going in. The tankless water heater took up an entire day of that. Everyone was professional, friendly, and considerate. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

This place is great for the audit and I think $50 is a fair price. He was very prompt and fast in the audit. However, I do not agree with their sales tactics in any way, shape, or form. You have to buy their services in packages. So, if you want to only get one thing done, you can't. You have to buy the bronze package to get a deal on the silver package to get the deal on the gold package, etc. Also, they don't offer any cheaper alternatives, you have to purchase what is in their package, the exact materials they use and everything else. You don't have a say in the matter. For example, I don't believe I need a solar panel attic fan, but just a regular attic fan. My sister has a regular one and it's still very efficient since the summers in Utah are relatively short. If we were in Phoenix, then I would go for a solar all the way. The cost of a solar one was 10 times the cost of a regular fan. Additionally, fiberglass insulation was the only thing he offered yet I want the more environmentally friendly cellulose. I felt that I had offended him by even mentioning the cellulose. It really felt as though I was talking to a car salesman that would ask, "how much can you afford a month" vs. "what items do you want to have done".
I do not doubt that they do excellent work, but be forewarned that you have to purchase projects in package deals. There were a couple items in the lower packages that I didn't even want to have done, but you have to purchase them to get their package deals and to get a cheaper price on the higher packages. Also, the audit provides no breakdown of the labor and materials. The only pricing you will see are for the packages themselves and not details showing the cost of each individual item. This might be different once you are invoiced, but I highly doubt that.
I think this company is excellent for someone that wants all of the thinking done for them and doesn't mind paying for the luxury of that. I might have chosen them if I could create my own "packages", but the whole deal left me feeling too pressured. Saying no almost felt as uncomfortable as leaving one of those meetings to purchase a time share. I'm happy that I went a different route and only had the items done that needed to be done.

The whole process from the audit to the installation was super smooth and painless. Only took about an hour and a half for the radiant barrier to be installed as well as the insulation. everyone was very friendly and answered any questions that came up.

The Greenify audit was informative and easily understandable to a non-expert like me. The Greenify team was highly professional during the time they spent installing the upgrades in my home.

The crew were on time, professional and did the job with a smile. They cleaned up after themselves so that I didn't have a mess to deal with. I would use them again.

It met my expectations and then some.

It went so well.  We did not know a lot about this stuff and did a ton of due diligence on products and cost from other companies down to Home Depot.  Greenify uses all the best products for the four things we had done.  We asked a million questions and researched all their products and they were all top notch and just what should be used for this to last as long as possible. 
One of the better things that no other company did for us was they help you with your rebates.  They make it so easy in it is part of the payment in the end so you really get to feel your rebates at that point.  Very important as we initially looked at Solar with another company but felt that the technology is still evolving.  Greenify helped us understand that what we had done is a great way to bridge the financial burden until you can afford to go solar...which they also do and would be absolutely who we will turn to when we feel like we can solar.
They are super personable and the installation teams was amazing and quick.  We got a great education on how to make our home warmer and cooler for years to come.  Highly highly recommend them!

Very prompt, great communication, very clean e.g. no particles of insulation all over afterward. Friendly and thorough. Would recommend.

Even if you do not follow through and purchase their caulking, insulation, and other services, Greenify's $50 audit is an excellent deal, because it gives a detailed summary of sources of air leaks. We had previously installed new roof, windows, and doors, but Greenify's whole-house fan-in-door with air flow measurement found lots of remaining air leaks around fireplace, flue pipe, baseboards, etc. Wyck, the owner, was very thorough in scheduling the insulation subcontractor and in cleaning up after they left. He re-ran the air flow test after the work was completed to verify the reduction in undesired air flow.

The Greenify company is an easy company to work with. The are not pushy and they listen to concerns as they come up. I asked them to give me estimates on many different products and they were very accommodating. We made an appointment to begin the work and they were right on time, thorough and efficient.
I would recommend them to everyone!

It went ok. In places that are not see, like inside cupboards, the quality of the sealing job is messier than where it it visible. They offered to fix it but I refused. I found that they do what they do well but if they can't sell you a fix they don't identify the problem.

Everything went Great! it was done in an orderly fashion. and they cleaned up after there self. and its even saved us on our utilitie bills. I would very much refer them to anyone!! thanks again for the Great job! ! well done.

I had Greenify conduct a full energy audit initially based on an Angie's List promotion & their strong overall rating / feedback.  Aaron & his team were very accommodating to my limited schedule and came out in less than 2 days to perform the audit.  They were very thorough & the kind of subject matter experts you hope to find in this business.  After we reviewed the audit, I began asking questions about fixes, priorities, etc, assuming I'd have to go to another company for the actual fixes.  Not the case with Greenify -- they do just about everything and sub out for experts in the market.  I ended up having the garage ceiling insulated (yes, there was ZERO insulation originally -- old house in the avenues), 3 external doors properly sealed & an unfinished part of the basement also foamed.  Greenify did the finishing work as well (drywall + painting).  
Overall, I was extremely pleased with their professionalism, expertise, & the quality of the end deliverable.  I would absolutely recommend Greenify for any home energy analysis / needs (start with an audit!!).  I look forward to using their services again in the future.

I contacted Greenify following my Questar home audit (including a blower door test), which resulted in a recommendation for air sealing and additional attic insulation.  Wyck from Greenify arranged to come and do his own blower door test.  He also used an infrared heat gun to go around and detect where we had air leaking and poor insulation.  He then recommended additional attic insulation, air sealing the house, an attic exhaust fan, radiant barrier in the attic, and replacing some or all of my leaky windows.  We settled on air sealing, attic insulation, the radiant barrier and a solar attic fan.  I questioned whether or not there was a control for the fan or is it just on or not on based on a set temperature.  The fan he quoted has a set temp that it turns on and off (whenever there is sunlight to power the fan.)  I requested that I get an Attic Breeze solar fan, which has a control that lets you adjust the temperature and humidity cutoff points remotely.  He agreed to get the Attic Breeze fan and I just paid the difference for the remote control.  I needed to cut holes between my two attics to allow air to circulate to the attic fan and he agreed to do that as part of the radiant barrier installation.   I was still paranoid about not having enough intake air for the attic fan and  he agreed to install addition roof vents for an additional charge.  We agreed on a date for installation and his guys showed up on time.  They did a nice job of air sealing, getting the radiant barrier installed and installing the attic fan in two days.  They also cut holes between my two attics to allow the exhaust fan to vent both attics.   Mark, the supervisor, also evaluated a place over my front door where there had never been any insulation and cut holes in the ceiling to allow the insulation guys to blow in insulation.  Mark then came back and patched the ceiling after they were done with the insulation.  Mark also did a great job of weather-stripping my doors, which had been very leaky.  The insulation guys came on the second day after Mark?s crew were done and took care of blowing insulation into the attic and over my front door.  The roofer came the next day and did a good job of installing the roof vents.  All in all it took a total of 3 days to get the work done.  All of the guys were very pleasant and professional and cleaned up after themselves. I felt that Mark went out of his way to make sure that the work was done right. Wyck came back a few days later to get paid and redid the blower door test to get the results recorded for the air-sealing rebate.  He had been able to reduce the leakage by 23%, better than the 10% required by Questar for the rebate.  Wyck also filled out the rebate forms for the air sealing and insulation and left them with me to file.  He offers $100 for allowing him to put a Greenify sign in our yard for 60 days and for us doing 4 web reviews of his work.  Obviously, he?s pretty sure that he?s going to get good reviews. Overall, I am very satisfied with the job that Greenify did and happy with their willingness to work with me to resolve some specific issues I had.  They may not be the cheapest guys in town but they do a good job.

Gave a reasonable price for air sealing (slightly above my estimate) the enrire house, Wyck did a free blower door test to thoroughly identify the leaks, gave me thermal images of all the leak sources.

The crew arrived on time, called ahead as asked. Mark and his crew were very professional - completed the job with minimal disruption to the house. Cleaned up afterwards. We had one particularly challenging door seal, which Mark had to redo a couple of times but he persisted till the job was done to my satisfaction and done right. He even offered to finish up some door trim in the basement that I had left incomplete.

The second crew (subs) that came in for blowing in the insulation were very professional and friendly - they laid heavy plastic everywhere to protect my walls and floor. Filled in the attic space as contracted and the went above and beyond to fill in the hard to access regions. Completed the job with minimal dust, cleaned up afterwards. Completed the job in about an hour or so.

Wyck came back at the end with filled in rebate forms all i had to do was enter my account information and mail to Questar gas. They did miss one non-obvious but significant air leak source in the basement but it was easy enough for me to seal afterwards.

Overall I'd give them a 4.5/5 and I'd definitely use their services again.

Wyck also gave me a very competitive price for whole-house window replacement.

They were awesome. They did things that were not in the job description and save over $100 a month on our power bill.

The day our radiant barrier and R60 insulation blow-in was done, we got home and my wife and I both immediately said -“Whoa! The house feels NOTICEABLY cooler.”  The difference from the air seal is also totally noticeable.  Our house just fees airtight - pressurized almost.  Keeping the A/C air in and my family infinitely more comfortable.  The Greenify contractors showed up each time, precisely on-time, and did everything just as planned.  Very nice work. We are well pleased with out choice.  The energy audit was very enlightening and I couldn’t believe how much energy we were wasting.  Just received my first Rocky Mountain power bill since our Silver Package was complete.  Substantial savings on that bill.  I can’t wait to trend it in the winter, too. Kudos to Greenify.  I am telling everyone I know. This will hands-down be the best energy savings plan you can do for your house. Excellent financing options which we took full advantage of.  And with Aaron’s help, I’ll be receiving some significant rebate checks from Questar and RMP in a few short weeks. Driving down the road and heard a Greenify advertisement on
the radio. I’ve always been interested in living more “green” and saving money
on utilities, but I was skeptical because of an unfruitful experience with
another company several years ago. 
Anyway, I called Aaron that same day and believe it or not; he visited
my home later that afternoon to conduct an energy audit.  A couple of days later, after a thorough
inspection of my home, Aaron visited again to discuss areas for improvement and
projected savings (20% - which equates to $1,400 annually for me personally).  Hard for me to believe that level of savings
potential existed since I own a newer home (built in 2010), but many
contractors now days don’t air seal and insulate homes like they should.  For my home, I decided on a thorough process
of making my home more air tight and installation of solar attic fans.  Aaron’s service team, Mark and Jared (great
guys), were out to begin work two days later. 
The work was complete after 3 days. 
Time will tell if I see actual savings, but I expect I will.  My home feels more comfortable and I’m
noticing the air conditioner doesn’t seem to run as often.  Greenify is a great company using sound and detailed
processes to identify and implement energy saving solutions for your home.  They are very responsive, they complete the
project quickly and they’re easy to work with. 
They even come prepared to assist in securing project financing and all available
rebates.  I highly recommend Greenify to anyone
interesting in saving money on their utilities or making their interior environment
more comfortable.

Unfortunately I am out of their service area but he was very helpful with information on Questar rebates. Would use them if I could.

Overall it went very well as we feel we had a positive experience with Greenify.  Their staff: Mathias, Thomas & Aaron all were very personable.  they were thorough in their assessment and explanation of what we could expect from their service.
Their work was professional and completed in a timely manner.  We appreciated their attention to the details. We have really noticed a difference in our home and garage with the added insulation and door seals they installed.  We know we will save on our energy costs now and in the future.
