Our gas log fireplace wouldn't light completely--the front wouldn't ignite at all, and we got an amenic flame in the back. I called Uintah because they service Napoleon brand and left a voice mail message. A very nice gentleman called me back and did some troubleshooting with me, saying that 90% of the time the problem is the switch and tried to save me the  $89 for a service charge.  He talked me through testing it and was very patient with me, but he switch wasn't the problem, so we scheduled an appointment for the  next day.  The repairman who came was very professional and helpful. We suspected it was spiders, and it was, and he had to clean out not only the main valves, but where the air and gas mix as well.  My husband had already cleaned the glass when he tried to find the problem, but the repairman assured me that they do that as part of the service charge.  He also discovered some rusting, which indicated some water coming in and walked outside with  me to see how water could be getting in and suggested installing a flashing to keep the sprinkler from shooting water in the flu.  He cleaned the rest of the fireplace itself and underneath and also scrubbed off the rust and sprayed some paint on that area.  It looks fantastic and now lights all the way around.  He was very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable.  He also suggested that it's probably cheaper to keep the pilot light lit all year instead of having to pay $89 every winter when we turn it on because spiders love gas fireplaces but won't nest where it's warm, so leaving it on may help prevent that.

I felt it was a good experience. The quality of work was really good. I felt their final cost that they charged was pretty reasonable and the same as the estimates that they gave.
