Description of Work: I've been a customer since 1988. I have nothing but praise for their workmanship, customer service, etc. They have installed a couple of furnaces and air condition units. They come twice a year to maintain them.

Description of Work: They came to diagnose and fix a problem with a furnace that was not working. |They charged $79 for a dispatch fee, and another $150 to diagnose a problem that took about 15 minutes because the furnace is newer and has a self diagnosing function (an LED readout provides an error code to pinpoint the problem). |They then told me that it would be another $265 to replace the switch the next day. I guess I looked naive. (They were going to charge about $500 to replace a switch that was under warranty.) I decided not to have them replace the switch knowing that it wasn't a big job and believing that service was overpriced. the DC repair guy said it would take about 20 minutes to replace.) after cancelling their services, I called another furnace company to come look at the furnace. He came the next day, diagnosed the problem and replaced the switch for $75! I paid $50 for the switch. I "saved" $140 by starting with a new company. Btw, the design comfort guy showed up at our door for the diagnosis and told my wife that the price would be $150 plus $79 befor repairs, but my wife didn't know that that was overpriced and let him in. I would not have let them come had we known their pricing structure on the front end of the call. Our fault for not asking, but at least we didn't make the same mistake again by having them install the switch for another $265. |

Description of Work: A/C was not cooling efficiently. Design Comfort tech provided a full range of service, i.e., performance test, tune-up, and refrigerant addition. Each step was explained as well as the expected cost. Tech was both knowledgeable and used up-to-date tools and equipment.

 + -1 moreI think that they are really knowledgeable in what they do. They are always professional when they come out and they are always on time. They have excellent customer service.
Description of Work: I have a swamp cooler and every year they service it. They check all the belts and fans, clean it out, and they check the cooler pads. My home is about 1,000 square feet.

 + -1 moreIt was good. They were really nice. I would recommend them to my friends and family. They got done what I needed. They worked fast, too. They cleaned up after themselves pretty well, but they could of cleaned up a little better.
