I received an estimate from this company that was nearly $1000 (~60% additional cost) more than every other company we solicited bids from. They know they're more expensive and train their salesmen to close deals with high pressure tactics. Don't let the salesman lock you in without getting multiple bids!

Beware of the sales tactics. The original quote I received was quite a lot lower than the 4 other businesses I received quotes from. However along with the quote it was mentioned that there probably would be about $200 worth of wood that would need to be added in the end with the actual total coming at the completion of the job. The actual wood costs were closer to $2000 almost doubling the cost of the project. In hindsight, I really think it should have been bid at a higher price as most of the wood needed should have been obvious to a person looking at projects like this on a regular basis. It seems like a low bid is given in order to get the job with the real price coming at the time of the actual work which was almost double. Overall a very good job done, I think it was a fair price, just a very misleading sales tactic.
