Chris Trease, who did the estimate, helped select the tile, and get everything started was great. Once the project was handed off, though it went downhill. The day the tile was supposed to be delivered, I waited for 3 hours and no delivery. When I called them, they said that the tile was back ordered and I needed to pick a different tile but no one bothered to tell me. So, I picked a new tile. The next day the installer showed up but there was no materials. I called and left messages and finally got a response that the delivery would come later and the installer was supposed to just start demolition on the existing floor. Again, no one bothered to update me or the installer. Overall, the communication from Amy (the project manager) was awful. The only way I could get a response from her after leaving multiple messages was to finally reach out to Chris to get her to respond. The installer was condescending and did a terrible job putting the molding back on. Would not hire again.

there are many things wrong with utah flooring and design 1) even though agreeing to send a check through my bank, UFD hounded me for payment the same day, from multiple numbers, through text and calls. ufd continued to harass me for payment days after. they even wanted to get my bank on the phone to confirm payment. they literally asked me if the check was going to bounce. 2) their customer service is not even that. their company culture is that they are right and the customer is wrong. texting/calling ufd, their responses were passive-aggressive, condescending and belittling. what ive experienced backs-up my opinion that their company culture is toxic. i was somehow referred to utah flooring design from the company floor and decor. they are a NATION-WIDE company. ive submitted a complaint to them so they know the type of company they are partnering with. i should of checked their BBB rating which is only 2 stars out of 5.
