Chad and his team did an amazing job for us. We actually had a miscommunication on the furnace unit and after finding out the mistake, Chad installed the correct unit the next day with no questions asked. I would highly recommend Humphrey Heating and Air. The crew was professional and punctual and they did a fantastic job for us.

We scheduled an AC and furnace tune-up with Humphrey Heating and Air, and the day before they came we turned on our AC and found that it wasn't cooling our home. Matt came and, after performing the other aspects of the tune-up, was able to diagnose and fix the problem with our refrigerant leaking.
A few weeks later we noticed that the outside compressor was having trouble staying on when it was hottest outside. Matt returned and repaired this problem free of charge.
I already recommended Humphrey Heating and Air to my parents, who were able to get their two furnaces tuned up for the price of one.

"We are sorry to hear you feel that way. Our tune up special includes checking the refrigerant level and if it is low the technician would not be doing his job if he did not let you know that. A central air system that is low on refrigerant will not cool well, be less efficient, and can freeze up the inside coil."

My air conditioner was not cooling, so I purchased the service call with a diagnostic of the problem. They were fantastic in calling and scheduling the appointment and the service guy that came out seemed nice and professional. He checked things out and told us the compressor had gone out and a new one would be $1600. He asked how old my air conditioner is and then suggested maybe replacing the entire unit. We got a bid to do that for about $4500. Neither of these options was in my budget so we installed a few window coolers and set up some fans to try and get us through until we could save enough for the repair.
Two days ago, on July 13th, we were removing a wood fence on our property and a man stopped to see if we were giving it away. As we were talking he mentioned he is an air conditioning service man. I told him about our conpressor going out and he said he would be willing to give us a second opinion/quote. I paid him $75 for a service call to look at it. Within 15 minutes of his arrival I had cool air. He said when we replaced the furnace this winter there was a wire that sends a signal from the thermostat to the air conditioner that was unplugged but not replugged. He was able to diagnose the problem by using a voltage tester that showed no voltage going to the unit.Â
Needless to say, I was happy to have a $75 dollar fix, but started thinking about why Humphrey wasn't able to do the same thing. I have to conclude that either the service man wasn't qualified or they were taking advantage of my lack of knowledge and trying to sell an expensive repair. Either way, I'm pretty disappointed that we have sweltered in the heat for a month saving up for a repair that we didn't even need.

I have spoken with the technician and he has explained it was an oversight on his part. He is also deeply apologetic and understands that he should have been more thorough. I had to call because my central air stopped working. It has been in the 90 degree weather so my house started heating up fast. I called Humphrey Heating and Air, because I have used them in the past and I feel they are very trustworthy. The worker was very polite, worked fast, and told me everything that he did. He was knowledgeable and had my central air working to cool down my house in no time. I would absolutely refer them to anyone in need of heating or air. I will definitely call them again.

I have a 1940s bungalow which offered numerous challenges for an A/C install. I received three bids from the highest-rated HVAC businesses on Angie's List. Humphrey's was not the cheapest bid, but I was most impressed with their proposed method of install, and they did lower their price to meet the price of my other bidding finalist.
The install took an entire day, and the guys stayed late to finish the job. They left the area tidy afterwards.
Because the install was done in late March, it wasn't until about six weeks later that the system actually turned itself on to cool the house. Unfortunately the system did not work as it should've, and I was pretty freaked out about that, having just spent $5,000! I called the company on a SUNDAY. Two of the guys who originally had installed the system came to my house within maybe an hour ON THEIR DAY OFF to fix the problem and retest the system. I was very impressed by their commitment to their work (and I hope their bosses are too!)
So far the A/C is working as advertised, although not perfectly because of the limitation of the vents in an old house. (My choice to not replace them.)
I am very satisfied with the excellent work that Humphrey's did, and would gladly recommend them to anyone with a challenging HVAC project.

It was fine. They came out the first time just to check it out. They said that everything with the air conditioner was fine. A month later, we had to have them come back because it wasn't fine. That's when they came back the second time and fixed it. I don't know if they could have done anything better. The guy was nice. It cost me $200. I have no idea if that was the right price or not. It was broken and it was 102 degrees and I needed it fixed. He was already here. So you don't price compare. He did say initially that it cost $250. But because they had come the month before, with the Angie's List, he took $50 off. So, that sounded like a good deal to me. He wasn't here for more than 20 minutes to replace it. He didn't price break down. He just replaced the capacitor and it was $200. They were on time. He was great, very courteous and nice.

I would highly recommend Humphrey Heating and Air for work. Our A/C unit went out Saturday morning and we were having a large gathering of friends that evening (15 people). They came by and evaluated the situation. It was going to take a part that he did not have in stock. He contacted the part house they usually use and made arrangements to have them open and meet him so they could pick up the part and repair our unit the same day. He got the part and was back at our house within 5 minutes of his estimated time and got our A/C unit back up and running immediately.
He was very professional, courteous and they went above and beyond to get everything done in a very timely manner. Fantastic experience on an emergency after hours call. Will use them again.
