Castillo Home Remodeling

This was a terrible experience with Castillo Home Remodeling. Rene came to the house and quoted me on the shower. It really went downhill once we awarded him the job. Right away he started saying that his bid did not include this or that. His job went over time that he projected and there were a number of issues along the way. At one point he told me to just pay him for the work he had done and he would leave. I advised him that that was just too easy and that I expected him to finish the job he had started. Once completed I was relieved to get him out of our home. He had a terribly unprofessional attitude, When the shower glass company came to measure they advised me that whomever had done the tile job had not angled the lip to keep water in the shower. When I called Rene about this he told me it was right, and that he would not come back out. Once again, I just did not want him back, so I had the shower glass company take extra measures to keep the water contained. It had been less than a year and some of the tiles were coming loose. Also, over the past few months we smelled a stale odor coming from an adjoining closet. When I removed the lower cedar planks there was a lot of water behind the wall. Additionally, our wood floor planks started to buckle in the hallway. I called Rene to come take a look. He postponed twice and was a no show today (7/24/16). When I texted him he texted back that he did not offer a warranty on his paperwork. This was one of the worst contractors I have had in any of my homes. There is absolutely no way I would consider this individual for any other work.
