I'll keep it simple: I called on the 9th. Herb came by that same evening (after hours). He called me back and gave me an estimate. He was onsite the very next day. Job done in literally 24 hours from my first call. He cleaned up everything on his way out...great service.

I thought they did a great job, very professional, cleaned up everything & hauled away all the debris. I was very pleased with the work & willl definitely use them again next time I need this type of service.

In order to have the roof re-shingled, I had to have all overhanging branches removed, since the house is surrounded by 50-year-old trees, apparently intent on taking over. This was by far the best estimate I got. Mr. Herbst knew his business, and perfectly understood what was needed. He doesn't seem to be given to overselling. He listened to what I wanted and understood what I could pay. He oversaw the job. On completion, the yard and roof looked neat, the wood was stacked for pick up, and I was glad that the whole business had been handled so competently.

This company is wonderful! Perhaps being close by helps, but they are responsive and get it done! Another Angie's list company finally returned my call after Mr. Herbst was done. He said maybe he could be out by the end of the week. Hello! I had just installed brand new windows in my house ( another Angie's list praise with that company) and they didn't break! But I didn't want to push my luck. Robert not only gave me an estimate for taking down that tree, but the price included grinding down the stump and trimming a tree on the other side of my front yard. I couldn't be happier. I used him before, used him again, and anyone who doesn't use Robert Herbst is crazy if they live in the area. Thank you Robert!

The job Robert's crew did was great. I felt I got a good job done for a very fair price. Will definitly use again.

Robert/Herbst Tree Service was fabulous and will be the only tree service I ever use. When we called him for an estimate, he came out the very next day (we live about 25 miles from him). His estimate beat a previous estimate by $500 and included haul away. We asked when he could start and he was actually able to start that same day! He and his team (2 other employees) started that evening and then worked tirelessly for about 3 days. They were very sensitive to our schedules and even asked if they could work on Saturday. Robert and his two employees were extremely nice and would quickly communicate any concerns or questions. I think they even cut down & cleaned up more areas than we told them to. Having them haul away the brush piles was a huge plus for us since the piles were probably an accumulation of 5 years worth of limbs and trees and made great snake houses! Our front and back yard now look like a well maintained park, it's gorgeous! They also left us some very nice neat stacks of firewood near the back of our property. We now have three large trees that may need to be removed due to pool construction. We just called Robert and he is already scheduled to come out this Friday (in two days) to consult with us on what trees to remove. I know he will do a great job again.

Robert squeezed us in to his schedule on short notice and did a good job.

Robert came by the house the same day as I called him. He looked at all the trees needing work and gave us a really great estimate. His bid to cut down the 3 smaller dead trees (no stump grinding at this time) came in at $150 for each. For the large tree, he gave us an estimate of $1,200. He was really willing to work with us on the price. He had me on the phone during the estimate process and was also explaining to my roommate (who was home) what he needed to do. At this time, we just don't have the money, but I guarantee you that Robert Herbst will be doing our work as soon as we can afford to have the big tree done. We'll get him to come do the smaller trees in the back yard first. After I see his actual work, I will put another post on Angie's List to follow up.

Of all the tree services I looked in to he had the lowest quotes and has provided quality service. The work he does is great and I have always been pleased.

I considered myself lucky when the storms of a month ago caused no damage. Until I woke up one morning to find a huge branch of a tree in my front yard was now lying in the yard. I called for two estimates. One company didn't even bother to come out. This company came out that day and Robert Herbst was very prompt to get back to me. He quoted $100 to cut it up. When I learned that the city was no longer hauling away storm damaged tree branches, he said he would for another $25. It filled his truck and I believe it was very fair price. He was able to squeeze me in the next day and even raked up when he was done.

Excellent. Highly recommend this company for the reasons given above.

I left a message describing the work that I wanted performed. Robert Herbst returned my call with-in an hour. He came to my house as scheduled and called me at work to provide a Quote over the phone. Robert's quote was $75 lower than the other quote that I obtained. I agreed to have Robert complete the work. He said that he would be there 2 days later. Robert and his team showed up on time and completed all work as promised.

Robert Herbst was prompt in providing an estimate and charged us easily half of what at least 4 other tree services had estimated. Probably owing to his busy schedule with his tree service, he could not give me an exact day and time that he would arrive to do the work, and I had to speak to him several times to try to arrange the day. However, when he showed up to do the work, he was very professional and experienced in his work and did an excellent job. I highly recommend his tree service.

Robert Herbst showed up on time, gave us an estimate and had a crew out the next morning to do the work. He stuck to his estimate, even though I think the job may have taken longer than planned. The crew worked steadily from morning till 6:00 p.m.

When I got home - I couldn't tell that they had been here, except that the trees were gone. They cleaned up well and their price was great! Easily half of what other companies were charging.
