HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Our AC went out in July and we called Lochridge Priest to come out and take a look. The technician they sent out was extremely young and was texting his supervisor after each step he took. After nearly 2 hours, the unit was up and running again. We paid a $99 service fee plus the labor bringing our total to around $250. Less than an hour after the technician left we heard a loud noise and the unit went out again. We called the company back where they informed that they could send another technician back to take a look but we would be charged ANOTHER service fee and it would be more since it was after hours. We stayed at a family members house and called back the next morning and spoke with a manager who after some back and forth agreed to send someone out to take a look at the unit which was now running again when we returned home and we were told we would not be billed. The technician took a look at everything said it was running fine and left without any mention of a bill. 3 months later we get a call that we have an outstanding balance of $99 for the second technician to come out and look at the unit. The customer service is TERRIBLE. They can't guarantee their work for even 24 hours. And our AC is now out AGAIN! We will never use them again and strongly advise anyone who needs HVAC services to look elsewhere!!!!!!

Master plumber did not even watch as new apprentice dod all the work scratched metal fitting and did not lubricate the cartridge as manufacturer requires, now the control is almost impossible to turn, they said they do not stand behind work after 90 days, it took a while for this to develop into a problem. The master should have watched the apprentice better. The apprentice sued a regular pliers to wrench the shower head neck making a lot of marks on it,.. I was charges a lot for a apperceive that was not supervised properly. I would have done the job better myself if i was not sick and unable to work myself. but to pay top dollar and get craigs list quality and they show no interest in making the situation better, I am very unhappy

We've had good experiences with them.  We're happy with them.  They showed up on time, were efficient and reasonable prices.

When selling our home, we were told by the inspector that our air handler needed to be cleaned prior to the sale being completed.  I used Angie's List to identify a good vendor, but also called Lochridge Priest as they had worked on the unit before.
When I called, I was told that the cost of cleaning the system would be $89 an hour for 2-3 hours, on the order of $300 or less.  This sounded low to me, but the receptionist in service reaffirmed it when I asked.  I figured that perhaps they had a new technique that was faster since I had used them last.
Their technician, Cody, arrived and told me that the cost would definitely be higher than that.  He suggested that it might be as high as $1000 if the fan needed cleaning.  I called and left a message with Doug (who I was told was a manager) to call and discuss with me.  I had Cody go ahead; I had little choice as the house sale is imminent.  Cody worked his tail off and did a top-notch job, and got it done quickly, so it wound up being $491.  I really appreciate his effort - he was great.

I have not received a call from LP about the discrepancy.  Their receptionist in service deprived me of an opportunity to shop around (another vendor on Angie's List was offering a 15% discount on this service, but I passed it up when I was told it would only be $300 (and LP had done a good job for me in the past)).
In short - be wary.  Their office management has some deficiencies that can come up to bite you a bit.

We asked for a bid on a complete new unit.  They sent someone out to
measure and said they would send it to the engineers to figure what size
unit to put in.  I called several times and got the run around.  They
never came back to us with a bid or anything.  Just kept dodging the
job.  If they didn't want it, why can't they just say so.

When thy installed my brand new unit they did not connect the back flow sensor which keeps your system from flooding your house. Well, left a message for skip and he NEVER called me back after several detailed voicemails explaining what was going on. Finally spoke to a manager and the first thing he told me to do is call my home warranty service and not them even though it was clearly their fault. He had a tech come to my home and could not figure it out. After 30 min. He called the home office and had someone tell him how to fix the issue. He connected all 4 wires that had never been touched and then connected them. He said that it was likely their fault but when I spoke to the head guy he said that he would have someone come out and look at the unit to see if it was the cause of the flood! He never called me back and reiterated to him that every day you ignore my call the more chance the more MOLD there will be! That was in June! It is now August 2014 and still no call. Just another company who thinks hat they are too big to be punished! don't use this company! now I am left with thousands of dollars in repair bills.

We have used them before, they are our normal service provider. They have been the one that comes out to do things. It's a combination of space fitting and we have used them before. We decided to go with them again. The guy that came out was very awesome and looked at everything and he gave us feedback on some things. I felt like he did a very good job explaining things to us and taking into consideration the situation we had.

I called L/P and explained the above, and requested that the local office manager call/stop by my home so I could meet and familiarize him/her with my unit's history and get acquainted. I provided my address and phone number and was told that my request would be passed to the local office manager that day. It's been two months and no reply. I am 68 y/o, own my own small business, am retired military and just lost my wife after a six-year battle with breast cancer, and my Labrador two days before, and my brother-in-law 29 days later. I have had 'many balls in the air' in the last four months and may have become a little short on patience, but I believe that when a request is made such as mine, the least the company can do is call back and acknowledge my request and that they would be contacting me for an appointment at the earliest possible date. This is fundamental respect and reflects the professionalism of the vendor. I am going to find another service provider who will at least demonstrate an modicum of respect to customer requests, old or new.

On Sunday evening, Jan. 5, 2013, our geothermal Water Furnace, an attic installation over our master bedroom, quit working. I tried what I knew to get it working, but no luck. Sunday night was a two cat/one dog pet-night in our cold bedroom (outdoor 20 degrees). By morning, the inside master bedroom temperature was 55 degrees.
I searched Angie's List under the category and quot;geothermal systemsand quot; and got two results. The and quot;Aand quot; rated company was in the Waco area, whereas the and quot;Band quot; rated Lochridge-Priest company was in Belton -- so Monday morning, Jan. 6, I called Lochridge-Priest in Belton. I explained my situation to the courteous woman (Dawn, I think!), and she said that she could have someone at my house the same afternoon. I happily accepted. She assured me that the service person would call before coming.
Jacob, the repairman -- called at about 2:40 p.m. to verify my address and tell me that he was coming. Young and neatly dressed in his Lochridge-Priest uniform, he arrived at about 3 p.m. I showed him the unit in my attic and he went to work. He was here about an hour. He put 2 lbs. of Freon into the unit, tested it for 10-15 minutes to be sure it was working correctly, then cleaned and straightened the area upon finishing.
He came inside to present me the bill. With the 2 lbs. of Freon ($100), plus $65 trip charge, plus tax, my bill came to $183 and change. The bill was fully itemized, including extensive comments, and easy to understand. I gave him my credit card, he called it in, and we were done.
Then, however, Jacob took the time to answer several of my questions. In our conversation he assured me that he takes on-going Water Furnace classes to stay current. My three Water Furnace units are 20+ years old, so when I expressed my concerns about their potentially short future lifespans, he gave me several suggestions for eventual replacement options, either with new Water Furnace units or with new conventional heat pump systems. He also gave me a couple of tips about things I could do with the Water Furnace units which might avoid my having to call a repairman. When he left through my garage, he commented that I might consider replacing the old unwieldy wooden folding ladder that provides attic access from the garage (a ladder he had neatly folded and re-positioned in its place in the garage ceiling). He suggested a new and quot;slidingand quot; ladder which worked much more efficiently and would be easier to open and close; he had just recently installed one in a relative's (or friend's?) garage.
Lastly, I told him I found him on Angie's List, and he wanted to know how that worked! So now he knows about Angie's List!
All in all, a thoroughly pleasant service experience. Even the $183.XX cost could have been a lot more, so I was happy. And now, I have a relatively local service company which I can rely on for future service calls! Yea!!!

Lochridge-Priest never provided a bid and did not follow-up their initial visit. At the time, I only had two other bids, so LP would likely have been one of the finalists. Based on other positive recommendations that I had received, I would have given serious consideration to their bid. As it was, I had to solicit additional vendors and eventually awarded the job to another contractor who successfully installed a gas heating/air conditioning system in the basement, an electric heat pump in the attic, and a mini-split ductless system in a room addition, with total expenditure of about $20,000 in all. FYI- I had difficulty getting bids from several contractors, because this was a retrofit in a historic home. I understand that not all contractors have the desire or experience to handle a job of this type, but I would have expected one of two responses from LP, either: 1) We are not interested in the job or 2) We are interested, but only at a very high price. As it was, I received no response at all.

I have never had any issues with them but it seems like there has been a couple of issues with maybe a bill or something like that and my husband has handled that. My husband mainly deals with them and sets up the appointments with them and he will just schedule it on a morning that I am here or whatever. So, I only take care of a little piece of it. They are friendly and they take care of things. We are still willing to use them despite some issues.

Overall a good experience as we definitely didn't want to make a major purchase from a company that might disappear in the next year. Our unit was registered online so there is a record of install. Crew came in, did their work, and completed in the 5-6 hours as quoted. The New AC and furnace was a better quality than when our house was new because the efficiency was higher than the original AC.

One of the things remarkable about them was that they didn't criticize us for having a very old system. They were willing to work with what we had instead of saying we need to replace it.

They are very good. They gave us really good service. It was something minor so we didn't have to have a new unit. They do good, quality work.
