If this isn’t the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with, they Definitely have 2nd place tied up! Hired them in February 2024 to service my lawn to include all fertilization needs and control lawn pests. After several months of treatments, large areas in the lawn appeared to be dying. I reached out the them concerned and requested someone come out to take a look and get the problem under control. I get a call from Matt insuring me that he is a turf specialist and will come take a look. Later that same day I get a text from him requesting pictures of the lawn so that he would have an idea of what he might be up against. Next day or two he came out and agreed that it was something that they were doing which was causing these large areas of my lawn to die. He verbally stated that they would treat my lawn for free until the problem was resolved and my lawn was back the way it was prior to these dead spots and from that point forward we would be back at them providing service and me paying for those services again. The free treatments started about August or so of last year so we weren’t far the Bermuda grass going dormant. They came and treated a few times that were free of charge and then there were a couple that i got charged for. After noticing the charges i would call to remind them that these were temporarily free until my lawn was fixed and they would read the notes on my account and agree that i should be refunded and I was. The last time they treated my lawn was this past January 2025. I was charged and I again called and requested a refund along with a request that I get a call from the branch Manager whom at that time was Michael . The next day i got a call from their customer service stating that they had gotten the request for the branch manager to call me and that he would be calling me the next day. Did not get a call from Michael the next day, but did receive a call from their customer service department stating the same thing as the day before, that they had gotten the request from me to have the branch manager to call me and that he would be reaching out to me the next day. I was then asked what were my concerns and i stated that i was past ready to get a resolution to all this. Then i was told that my account had been terminated and that it would never be reinstated. I asked why and they told me that I had called it to cancel the account. I told them that absolutely did not happen and the guy argued with me about it. I again requested a call from Michael. Next day i get a call from their customer service again just for them to tell me my account was closed and would never be reinstated and that the branch manager had sent me an email stating so. I told them i never got an email and they said well, it was sent. I asked them to show me proof of the email and they said they couldn’t. I again asked for a call from the branch manager. Once again, next day i get a call from their customer service stating the same ole think about my account being closed and that Michael Spivey had sent me a registered letter stating so, which I never got. I again asked for proof knowing that those have to be signed for and again was told they could provide proof. Finally got a call form a gentleman named Faheem ( may not be the correct spelling), he told me that he was in the sales department at the Round Rock branch and he would speak to Matt and Michael and get back to me about was they were going to do. Matt had once before tried blaming the dead spots on the cottontail rabbits that live out in this area. I will agree that there are an abundance of cottontail rabbits in this area and there has been for a long time, so that’s nothing new. I told Faheem that it was without doubt not the fault of the rabbits as they have been in this area and in abundance for many years. And in fact that Trugreen was servicing this residence prior to us buying and moving into this house in Sept of 2018 and this lawn was beautiful when we got here and that same rabbit population was a problem then as well Almost forgot. During one of those conversations with one of their customer service people, they told me that they don’t do soil samples. That afternoon I was at home in the back yard when my girlfriend called and ask if I was at home because there was a Fedex delivery guy standing on our front porch. I was able to get out there and catch him. He stated that he had a package for me that had to be signed for. I signed, got the package and took it inside and opened it and low and behold it was a soil sample that had been taken at a Catholic church in Austin and instead of it be sent to the place to be analyzed, it was sent to me. It has just been one lie after another!

I’m sorry to say I will never use Trugreen again because of the service they have given me within these last several months. I have asked them many times why my grass is turning brown? They said they were going to send someone out here to test. My dirt never did when the guy did come out he said he could spray some green color on it OK! Have gone back-and-forth to try to resolve this with people who called me and I’ve called them but never can get the same person who called me to resolve it so we’re looking at maybe 10 times to 11 times going back-and-forth I’m done.

Continually missed appointments, incomplete treatments, horrible technicians, left gate open, 2 puppies got out, finally found them after searching for 2 hours. Repeat appointment to finish missed treatment areas. Left the gate open AGAIN. Passed performance told me to check the gate. Feed up with them. Worst lawn services ever. When I called to cancel the told me I owed $76.59 for horrible service. I'l pay it but that is the last penny they will receive from me. I don't recommend them to ANYONE.

Today a representative "Chris" from the Round Rock location gave me a call ... it was a total game changer he's extremely knowledgeable on the environmental side of things he explained everything to me about the conditions of my yard the environment and how to turn things around and get my lawn back healthy... I just want to Thank him Sincerely for his information time and genuine concern for my lawn...he really went above and beyond to assist me... Thanks,Chris!!

We are with True Green for several years. When we started with them the lawn was in pretty good shape, we just wanted convenience of a professional company taking care since we are Retired Seniors and it's harder to do ourselves. IN the last two years our backyard lawn has steadily gone from good green grass (Saint Augustine) to patches of dead grass everywhere in the backyard (front is ok, it has Bermuda grass). We have been calling them but nothing has happened. Every time we call the call goes to the main office and all they do is send the information to our local (Arlington, Texas) office. Local office doesn't call back. Finally, after threatening to write a bad review the local manager came about three weeks ago, in early May 2023. He said the lawn needs insecticide and Sulphur and that their technician will spray both. (They had sprayed sulfur in February, before the manager's visit but it probably needed more). However, when the technician came we asked him what he is spraying he said just the regular fertilizer and weedkiller spray. Nothing has changed in the lawn. The manager also told us to put some Peat Moss. They said the same thing last year and we did put Peat Moss last fall (2022). It didn't help. I recently read a review of True Green complaining about the exact same thing as ours. That made me realize we are not alone. The company doesn't care about the customer once they get the yearly contract amount. I don't want to bad mouth anyone but I have no choice. Two years is more than enough. May be it's just our local office in Arlington, Texas. We can't talk to any supervisor in the main office since the operator refuses to transfer the call. I have added pictures of my barren lawn. I'll change the rating if they remedy the situation.

After canceling my service 11 months ago, they showed up without advance notice and charged me. They refused to waive the fee because at the time I canceled, they still owed me two treatments I had already paid for, apparently negating the cancelation in their system. I was never contacted about the subscription being automatically renewed despite my cancellation. Then, after the first person I talked to confirmed he saw the cancellation in my account, the supervisor lied and said there wasn't a note about it. Infuriating. Oh, and the reason I canceled almost a year ago is because their mosquito treatment service DOES NOT WORK. Do not use TruGreen. Terrible product and even worse customer service.

They did a great job on a landscaping work for us. On the landscaping, it was very good. As far as treating our lawn with herbicides and pesticides and fertilizer, we've used them for many years to a high level of satisfaction. Right now, they are going to recover from a mistake that they made however. They over-sprayed our lawn and it caused a substantial part of the grass to completely brown and die and with no cost, they are going to re-seed and bring the grass back. They have verbally promised to correct that mistake and I have a 100% personal assurance that they will correct their mistake judging from the many years of good service that they provided us.

They came throughout the year and did certain things and the cost was like $40 to $60 each time depending on what they put down. Frankly, I only had them do that because I worked out of town at that time and now, I have done my lawn for the last two years and it looks much better. It was an okay service, but they are a big company. They come and spray your lawn and leave. It is just a very professional outfit that I did not think paid that much attention to what the lawn would eventually look like. So, I like it better now that I am doing it myself.

In July TRUGREEN applied some weed control product which killed my front tree lawn grass but left the weeds!  I terminated their service and refused to pay.  Had to pay to repair the lawn!

I have no complaints or whatsoever.  They did call ahead to let me know that they're coming.  When the time they wanted to schedule is not convenient; they did re-schedule just to accommodate me.  They make recommendations and they're not that pushy.  I was well satisfied with them.

We have been using them for years. I believe they are a national company, or several states anyway. The specialist that treats our lawn has been very helpful and he has pointed things out. We are retired and we are usually able to talk to him right after he does the treatments. We are on a plan and I think there are six treatments plus grub control. We buy the package, and if we prepay, we get an extra treatment. Our lawn has improved, and it is thicker and greener, and we don’t have problems with it. At this point, we like the value we are getting for our money. They want to offer aeration and other things but I usually say no as I am paying enough and I don’t want any add-ons. I had some complaints the last season and I had called, and I never got my calls returned. I think the responsiveness thing wasn’t with the guy doing the treatment and it is more with the management there. They always call ahead and give me one or two days notice that they are coming, and they are always there when they say they are.

I have had them come out for two treatments so far this season and both times they did not do what was promised to me by the salesman who signed me up.  The first time, they came about two weeks before I asked and they did not call beforehand as I requested since I have a small dog.  The second time I got billed for two treatments.  They said one was for fertilizer and the other was for grubs. When I first signed up, the salesman assured me there was no extra cost for grub treatment and it was included in the price of one treatment along with fertilizing, and or weed killer.  When I called the salesman he said that's how they do it and I must have misunderstood him.  I'm positive he told me the grub was no extra charge because that was the main reason I gave them a shot and cancelled my other company.  At this point, I'm regretting switching to TruGreen and I will most likely cancel their services and go back to my old lawn care company.

The service was absolutely horrible and the customer service was even worse. The company misses three appointments after I paid for year of service in advance. Would never do business with this company again. The company promises a money back guarantee, but as soon as you cancel they refuse to return calls about obtaining a refund. HORRIBLE SERVICE!

I had a few problems with them but they are still doing my lawn. I have a patch in my backyard that really needs seeding and they have been aerating and seeding it. The year before my bushes started dying and they have been treating those. They were supposed to come out one time and they never did come to do the aeration. They did give me a discount and a credit because I talked to them about it. There was a mixup because you technically do the aeration and seeding in the fall and he was going to do it in the spring. One person said one thing and another person said something else. I told them I wanted grass in that spot. I asked them a lot of questions and they didn't really have any answers to give me. I would recommend asking a lot of questions. I was very unhappy because I wanted grass there. The pricing was okay. They have been pretty punctual other than that one time. They were pretty professional.
