He is really, really good. We have an RV and we frequently go on long trips. They come and they are not one of these 5 minutes in your yard and they come and go. They have frequently been here when they didn't know that we were here and they really take time. They clean your porches off and they just do a very conscientious job. We had them for a whole yard clean up as well doing our whole lawn all last year. We are really, really satisfied with Arturo. We probably would not change to another company right now. He is polite. He does what he is supposed to do. He comes on Friday mornings. We pay $35 every 2 weeks. As you already know, we live on a corner lot in a model home. They just do a fabulous job. When he's not happy with something that is going on in our lawn, he politely knocks on our door and he'll say, I'd like to talk to you about the type of fertilizer you are using on your lawn, how you are watering your lawn. Arturo is honest, and he's kind, he is sincere. He is very intellegent about yard work. He also will tell you that he will get back to you and if he tells you he will get back to you he is telling the truth. We've been gone for months and we just got home Friday and the yard looks superb. The yard looks like somebody lives here and takes care of the yard all of the time. You just couldn't find fault with this man if you wanted to. His prices are reasonable and he is not a dishonest fellow. There have been times that I have said, how much do I owe you? And he'll say, he'll bring his book out and he'll say well you owe me for this and this and this date and he's always right. He's superior. He's not overpriced. You call him up and if you get his answering machine, he calls you back as quickly as possible. He's always polite, he's always respectful. He's organized. He's just very, very, very nice. Everybody on his crew speaks English which is important to me because I don't speak Spanish. He laughs sometimes, in a polite way, when we say that we are trying to learn Spanish.
They are a wonderful company. They are superior to anybody else that we have used on Angie's List. If they missed anything, like we have an area in our yard at our corner where it is kind of iffy where a person wouldn't know if they haven't been doing our lawn for a long time they wouldn't know that we are responsible for all of the plants in that area. When they came out to do the lawn trimming, he doesn't do that, his cousin does that, when he came out to do that he missed the sago palms because we had a really cold winter. The sago palms branches had gotten frozen up there and died and so I mentioned to Arturo when he came out on Friday. I said, oh by the way they missed those. They were back there immediately to trim them up. He said, they didn't know those were your bushes but we will take care of that right away for you and he did.
Another thing that he did for us was that we were going out of the country for 2 months. We talked to him in January about cleaning up our yard and putting mulch down and all of that. He was very good about telling us that he did not want to put, because of the number of oak trees we have would eventually lose their leaves, that he would want to come out right away and take the money and do all of the mulching and all that kind of stuff because he said, you are not going to be very happy because, he said, what is going to happen is these leaves are going to start falling off of your oak trees and, he said, they are going to continue to fall and if you have new mulch out there, he said, it's going to be a mess. And, he said, it's going to be difficult if I just blow it because I will blow the mulch everywhere. So, we let him wait until he thought it was the proper time to put the mulch down and even now our mulch just looks great. It still looks amazing. They put it down at the correct time. They came out every 2 weeks. They checked how much the lawn had grown. If the lawn needed to be mowed, he mowed it while we were gone. And when the lawn really started to grow he took care of it regularly. When we came back from Mexico there were still leaves on the trees. He saw my car in the driveway and he came to the door and he said, I know that you are probably wondering when we are going to do all of your yard work but, he said, it's still not time yet. He said, the leaves have stayed on the trees a long time this year because it is cold. He said, the trees will decide when to drop their leaves and, he said, that's all that I can tell you, he said, that probably sounds crazy but, he said, when it's time for them to fall, they'll fall. He said, as soon as they fall, he said, we'll clean your yard up and that's exactly what they did.
They are just great and they are personable. Sometimes you have yard people come in and they just kind of run around your yard and they don't speak to you at all. These people are not like that. They'll stop and they'll say hello and are you liking the work? They are very, very nice.
