Description of Work: Installed new AC unit in the Attic. |In the process water from the tubing to the pan was poured into the attic area snd seeped throught the 2nd floor ceiling discoloring it. They came out and said "wasn't us." We had not had any rain in the area for over 6 weeks but I had a roofing contractor come out anyway, to confirm that it was not a roof leak. Airesmith refused to fix or even acknowledge the problem.

Description of Work: The service technician identified two problems areas in the course of conducting a routine semi-annual assessment our two HVAC units; one, electrical; the other, indication of an emerging mold problem that had developed following a water leak in our slab that had damaged and required removal of hardwood flooring in four rooms. He provided clear explanations of his concerns and showed me supportive, objective evidence for the problems he had identified. He explained a variety of interventions (and costs) that would mitigate the problems. We negotiated a price below market rates, and he made the repairs and installed a mold/bacteria mitigation and prevention unit on the same day of his service check. His work was thorough. He left the work area clean and orderly, and arranged a next day visit to install a relay that would reduce wear and electricity costs when the fan was not running. My service experience today is consistent with the quality workmanship and professionalism of Aire Smith technicians that we have enjoyed in16 years of HVAC service with this company and their hands-on owner.

 + -1 moreThe estimator was on time, thorough, and polite. They were the first estimate and waited over a month (without hassling us) until we got all the estimates and decided what to do. They did the work as quickly as they promised despite cramped quarters in the attic and having to work around another A/C unit, and have made two return calls to check on their own work, including putting some extra mastic on ductwork that they did - without us going to look at the ducts. Great experience; we'll probably use their routine maintenance, although we may buy the heavy-duty filters online to save a few bucks. But they're willing to install any filters we buy.
Description of Work: We had a 25-year old A/C in the house we bought, and wanted to replace it and get some duct work done while there were federal tax credits and a state rebate. Aire Smith was the low bidder as well as being the most thorough in their estimate and talking me through what was involved.

 + -1 moreThe tech came out and they needed to blow nitrogen through the drain. At first the tech said that he may not be about to get the nitrogen up in the attic with him so he vacuumed the drain to unplug it. That didn't work so he had to get the nitrogen out and blow out the drain from the attic. He got up there and there was alot of banging up there. It worked and the drain started flowing. It took him about 45 minutes to unclog the drain and we were happy about getting it unplugged but the price for it all was extremely too high. If we were not heading out of town then I would have searched for a better price and company.
Description of Work: The overflow drain started leaking when we were about to leave on vacation over the 4th of July holiday. We were told that it was $160 but the tech did not include the $70 service charge.

 + -1 moreAire Smith responded promptly to my request for service. I was given an approximate arrival time (2:00pm). An agent called 30 minutes before arrival. The serviceman arrived on time, was friendly, couteous and knowledgeable, informed me of all his findings, changed the AC filters, gave the price for the maintenance contract (which saved me the destination charge) and the price for the additional service, , etc. The serviceman also informed me of the window for fall service (August-September) and stated that maintenance contract customers receive priority service over general call-in requests. Work was completed promptly, and all systems are working properly. I will continue to use this firm for my heating/air conditioning needs.
Description of Work: The spring maintenance check for two AC units at my home was done. Additionally one of the units required service (freon addition).

 + -1 moreVery poor workmanship!!! Did not check for leaks in our upstairs units and our lower ceiling caved in due to a leak caused by a loose hose clamp on a drain line. I tried to contact John Smith and he hid from me. He would not even return my calls. Our insurance company paid for the repairs. Also, the 5 ton unit that we paid for is not what we have. They couldn't fit the unit through our door, so they provided a smaller unit at the same cost. What a deal!! Now, we are preparing to have the 5 ton unit removed and re-installed properly due to air leaks caused by poor workmanship while installing this smaller unit. In my opinion, this company is a bunch of crooks. Don't use them or you will get cheated!!! Airesmith's secretary informed us that John Smith has instructed their employees not to provide further service to us because we try to hold them accountable for damages.
Description of Work: Replaced 5 ton air conditioning unit. Repair and seal all duct work. Checked all drain lines and completely inspect the other two existing units. Add combustion air to 3 closets? Replace damaged 6" duct over garage. Replace broken sections of duct board trunk line. Seal all ducts on all 3 units with mastic.

The Estimator was very thorough in calculating my heating & cooling needs, including the dedicated master bedroom run. The Installation Crew was on time, knowledgeable, skilled, and dedicated. A long 11-hour day; but, the difference in my home's comfort is incredible. AIRESMITH's Office Staff have also been great, friendly, and efficient. I highly recommend AIRESMITH Inc to anyone looking to upgrade or replace their home's HVAC System. Cost: In the range I expected with my specific equipment selections. AIRESMITH, partnered with Home Depot (HD), was able to provide a $750 HD mail-in rebate. With the local electrical utility's rebate and the federal-tax credit, the overall cost was palatable.
Description of Work: Removed & replaced entire HVAC system with new electric and matched Trane Components; XV-80 (heating unit), XL-19i (a/c unit), and smart effects air cleaner. Repaired (replaced) 6' section of previously crushed attic duct tubing (bedroom 2). Replaced entire duct stream (w/ 12" feed from plenum) to master bedroom (30' run).
