Description of Work: .Added freon. Gauges not used. Claimed system needed 2lbs. No scale was used. A different sevice tech. acessed a dirty indoor coil. Removed it , cleaned it.Charged system. No more problems.Derrels A/C co. I would recomend.

Description of Work: This work was don 8-35-2008 |They told me I needed a new unit which I found out later The old one could have been repaired and for a lot cheaper - so when I purchased a new cooling unit from them - they installed it improperly failing to connect the over flow line from the drip pan which overflowed into my closet |( the unit was in the attic ) |They finally had to send someone out at 10 pm to fix it. When I tried to get some sort of restitution for the water damage in the closet they ignored my letters -- I am not one to sue and it was less than probably $300 damage -- |I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

Description of Work: I had a leak that had been going on for a while but we did not know where. We checked Angie's list and called C.Wood because of their rating on that list. They came right out, found the leak, which was a two day job, repaired and were on their way. They were professional, put on booties when entering the house, gave me an estimate before repairs, and were very pleasant. Before they left everything was put back in place and my outside leak was repaired. I will call them again for any repairs needed

Description of Work: Our outside compressor stopped cooling on a 100+deg evening and had to request an after hrs svc call. I was told that there would be a $75 fee for the call and agreed. They responded promptly and researched the problem only to give me completely false information. The technician removed the capacitor and "replaced" it with a new one. My husband asked him about the freon and he told him very curtly that it was dangerous to fill/chg the unit "like that". While tech appeared to be very knowledgeable, told us that when he changed the capacitor the unit died, and of course suggested a brand new unit as our only solution. He gave us a quote (discounted of course if we ordered right then and installed the next day) for $9000.00!!! My husband and I had a gut feeling to get a second opinion and I'm glad we did. The unit yes, was old, but still generated cool air when the capacitor was connected correctly and more freon was added from our second opinion vendor. We wanted to share our experience.

Description of Work: We contacted C Woods on Saturday night at 9:30, the service man was there at 11:00 and the air conditioner was working by midnight. C Woods advertises that they are 24 hours and they deliver. The technician was prompt and professional. I will use C Woods for all of my personal and rental properties in the future. Highly recommended!

Description of Work: We purchased a home that C Woods had installed an AC unit 3 years prior. The previous owner purchased and extended warranty. Shortly after moving in, the AC unit stopped cooling. We called C Woods and they honored the warranty (although we hadn't gone thru the paperwork to have it transferred yet). It did take numerous visits to isolate the problem, but they were persistent. They ultimately found he problem and replaced the internal coil. The house is cool again.
