"[removed member name], Foremost, we sincerely regret that you have received a seemingly disappointing estimate from us; We provided you with an estimate for : - Removal of 2 tree stumps - Excavation of 4" of the land soil, debris, etc. - wood frame and reinforce with #3 rebar on 16" centers w/full risers - Pour 1300 sq ft. of 3000 psi concrete - full dowel to existing concrete with a 30'x2' ramp addition off extension Now, if you have found someone to provide you the above, whom is fully licensed, fully insured, will use fresh concrete delivered from a real tumbler-truck (vs. ready-mix & wheel barrel), will take 1-2 days at most, and whom will stand behind their work, and include all taxes, permitting fees, debris removal and full haul-off, for just over $10 sq.ft., THEN THAT'S A GOOD THING for you; why such a negative effort here then? I can not apologize for my pricing (you are fairly South for us as well, geographically) as our fair and honest practices have always served us and our customers well, and this is the First complaint of such we have received. But I do wonder why it has angered you to the point of giving us an Overall grade of 'D'....? If your total price for the Same above job is Truly just $5k (or less then $4 sq.ft.) then hopefully you have an awesome economy-driven local deal, I would just pre-confirm some of the aforementioned details above. Good luck [removed member name]."
"We contacted Member just after seeing this message to discuss because our estimator was bewildered and had been in touch with member VERY often and steadily- member had requested delay of project, member went out of town, and member instantly agreed to remove this post once we discussed post-project- I will continue to allow member that opportunity prior to posting supporting facts to such."
"Mr. [remove member name], I will keep this one short- (I have all documents, sales communication, tickets and phone logs); You WERE scheduled for December 4th, we (I MYSELF) called you 3 times the day (and night) prior as a reminder, NO answer, then your Sales person Mark asked that we still please show up that he was sure it was just a glitch, then we called another 3 times THAT morning WHILE waiting in front of your house- my guys wanted to do the job, even spoke to a neighbor, but I called it off. So, after coming to your home and giving you a free estimate, placing you within a few weeks on our calendar that is booked out till February, HOLDING that spot for you that went unfilled that day, calling you many times to remind you, AND showing up at your home to wait.... we get this. Not a phone call to Mark your salesperson, me the owner, or even our general office, ALL numbers available to YOU and everyone else at all times, but a long wait, followed by an "F"- well [remove member name], with respect to quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism, WE Southern Concrete Raising, give YOU an 'F!". Angies Lister's: As you know, we here at SCR value and respect ALL of our customers, and do sincerely regret ANY negative experiences with us, but it is truly is a customer-contractor RELATIONSHIP, not a servitude. Happy Holidays and a safe and healthy 2014!"
"Thanks, and if you do need us again, remember, we offer a 15% 'prior customer' discount! Be well and have a blessed holiday season."
I have no complaints.
"Thanks (Member name removed)."
"thanks!"
"[member name removed] job was indeed very small, and he has a special (old-fashioned) stamping and orange coloring that we needed to secure in order to do his job; we did so (on temp loan) from another company. The day prior to [member name removed] job we seemingly had another good chance of some rain, when we called to let him know we would see him the next day, but maybe a little later in the day due to some delays, we did not get him so just left him a message letting him know such. [member name removed] had apparently returned our call, but we were just out of the office and did not receive it (though we gave her the reminder call just before we left the office)- this apparently, when we did not show up first thing in the morning, got her seemingly very upset. She called to let me know- I asked her two things: 1) please try to control the emotion and negative attitude in her words and suggestions and 2) please allow me to explain... well, half way through my explanation she said she wasn't interested in hearing 'all of this stuff, and details...." she simply said "Are you coming or not!"- at that point I did what I always do in these situations- I thanked her for calling us, for her time, but I respectfully requested that she seek service from another company, I then said "God Bless, and goodbye". The rest is pretty predictable: the "Mr." calls me back saying "What's your problem?" Of course when I was only a sentence into the explanation (Yes, I tried to salvage it again, but with him because I hadn't ever seen or spoke to his wife prior to that incident, and against my own advice and practice, but I loathe to see anyone leave SCR with a negative experience) [member name removed] in a not so adult-like manner started calling me a "Fool" repeatedly, for not wanting his business; My faith lead me down one last road- I said "[member name removed], let's just stop- I can come do your job RIGHT NOW" - he didn't believe me and started letting me know what he thought of that and me, but as soon as I started hearing the additional comments (I won't share here) and [now] threats, I just hung up. Simply Unprofessional, and border line uncivilized. Southern Concrete Raising sincerely regrets any negative experience that ANYONE has with us, but I certainly do not regret the decisions I made above, with exception perhaps to trying that one last time, because I was sickened by the real-life mankind results of such. There is simply too much unnecessary hatred in this world. Decide for yourselves and Be well Angie's Lister's."
"Thank you [member name removed], your estimate was emailed to you earlier this morning, we look forward to speaking with you again, be well."
"[member name removed], we only have one call from you on file, a full month ago, and returned that call less than 2 hours later, including our answer of 'Yes we do' see call in /log below, our apologies that there was seemingly some communication breakdown; On Mon, Jul 1, 2013 at 10:40 AM, TJ wrote: / [member name removed] / [member information removed] / X / REFUSED / X / X / RE DO YOU DO REAPIRS OR JUST LEVELING Angie's List'rs AGAIN, I will stress, that this is the reason why so many good companies choose not to participate in these such forums. As you can imagine WE pay much more on this side than you do on that side, and regardless to whether a voicemail wasn't listened to, or a second call was/wasn't made, or whatever the case, [member name removed], by his actions, WANTS you to think that we are a POOR company, because he is a member of this forum, but this is simply NOT the case. Our website and most of our collateral contains not just our office number (tracked meticulously by calling service and logs) but also MY direct line (713.882.4482), technical help and a fax and a direct email.... so as far as Professionalism, Productivity and Timeliness, we, Southern Concrete Raising, give [member name removed] an 'F' as well."
