Not happy! He did not return phone calls when I ask him to replace two sections that were bowing. I told him I wouldn't pay $200.00 he requested to replace two poor quality posts that were causing the bowing. I researched the quality stamp on the wood, and I found out the wood, made in China, had high moisture content, excessive knots, and some splinters- and the rating said, " do not use in high humidity areas." Note: He previously did a section of fencing for me, and it had a higher quality wood rating.

"My apologies for you being unhappy about this situation. My records shows you texted me (September 18,2023 @ 3:14 PM) a picture showing 2-posts that has moved in the fence we installed. I called you the same day @ 5:04 PM. We talked about the 2-post and replacing them. I said that it is unfortunate that some on the posts moved and that it will be a cost to replace them. I also mentioned I give a year on workmanship, but I have no control on have the lumber will settle once installed. I quoted $200.00 dollars...$100.00 for each post. You said you need to get with your neighbor about the cost for replacement. My records show I never heard back from you with a decision. I am sorry the posts moved on you so much, but I have no control on what lumber my do once it is installed. We hand pick all of the lumber and try to use the best that is available. As far as the quality of the wood... There are a few lumber mills that my suppliers purchases from... Yellawood, Prowood & etc. All the Treated lumber that we use is from USA. The only Chinese wood that is available is Cedar Pickets and we do not use Chinese Cedar pickets, only Western Redwood Cedar. The fence we installed for you is all Treated Pine lumber (for exterior use). Milled in the USA. This is the materials that is relatively available everywhere and is used by any Fence company for installation. Our goal, and continues to be after 34 years, is to provide the best fence installation service with care & respect for your neighbor'[Member Information Removed], landscaping and utilities. We are extremely pleased with the huge fencing replacement job that was done by Brian Cherry and his son. Brian was extremely professional, knowledgeable, informative and he communicated with us every step of the way what he was going to do, the amount of days it would take to finish the job and provided us daily updates of the job. Brian and his son stayed on task through job completion. He kept his word throughout the fencing replacement project. He said he would start the 2nd week of January and he did as promised. He started on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 and completed the job on Thursday, January 13th. The fencing work he and his son did was Top Notch. He recommended to have the metal frame on our wooden gates, and we totally love it. They cleaned up behind themselves, and no wooden debris or nails was left behind. We highly recommend Residential Fence & Deck. They do quality work and the pricing was reasonable. Thank you Brian Cherry, we absolutely love our fence job and especially being a house who sits on the entrance of the subdivision. Major Kudos to you!

There aren't many fence installers out there like Brian. I had the pleasure of working with him in May 2021 on a fairly large cedar fence replacement project. Brian was very good at providing a new replacement fence in several days time. I was impressed with his politeness, his experience and organized work style, and found him to be hard working too. Brian would have my highest recommendation for anyone contemplating a local fence installer and found he is rather nice to work with too.

Brian was very professional and is super people friendly.He replaced a fence that was built by fence builders/lawn mowing co. and it was a crocked warped nightmare. All Brain does for a living is build fences and it shows in the quality workmanship and material.His prices are not out of line and you surely get what you pay for!

It is difficult to get fence contractors to do small jobs like replace the side gate. No job is too small for Brian. He is busy but he makes the time to come out & meet you if the timing works but if not he will just prepare the quote. I appreciate how open , honest & friendly Brian was in our discussions. I chose Brian over other quotes though his was not the cheapest because of his personality. Kindness. He helped me replace a picket in the back fence and nail down some gaps cheerfully. Brian & Regis have great work ethics and they finish the job quickly. They took just 2 mornings finishing up before noon and clearing up. Another neighbor came by to make inquires and I hope Brian got the job. I will recommend Brian to my friends and I will work with him again if I need to replace the back fence.

Brian installed a six and half foot fence for me a few months back. It looked great but my homeowners association said I would have to make it a six foot fence or face the consequences. Brian removed the top six inches and put a cap of two by six boards over it and it looks great. Brian’s done work for me on three different occasions now. He does great work. I highly recommend Residential Fence.

His work on my fence was outstanding and much better than I had imagined or hoped for. He removed the fence and cemented the post on the first day. He could have finished the fence on the second day but he was interupted by two days of hard rain. However, once the rain stopped, he completed the fence on the second day. The fence is very straight, perfectly level and tight. He used #2 cedar and it is beautiful and tall. I would recommend Residential Fence to anybody and requires professional quality work.

WOW! Brian Cherry, the owner of Residential Fence & Deck did a fantastic job. When I originally called him, we agreed on a day and time for him to come out. Unfortunately, it was a miserable light raining day and I didn’t think he would show up, but at the agreed upon time, there he was. Very pleasant to talk to. After he took measurements and asked me what I wanted, he said he would send the estimate to me by e-mail. Received it that night and was very pleased with the quote. E-mailed him back and we agreed on a day to do the job. Well, when that day came it was pouring rain. He called me and asked if he could schedule it for another day. I told him no problem and we did. Again, when that day arrived it was pouring down rain and again we scheduled another day for the job. Now, this is where it gets interesting. Two days before he was going to do the job, My father who was 93 years old started having health problems. My parents live in Sugar Land. I was making trips over there almost every day. Plus I started having problems with my health. When I told him what was going on, he replied “no problems Gary. Take care of your father and yourself and when everything is back to normal let me know”. To make a long story short, father passed away, and my health got to the point where it was a go. Brian came out the first day, tore down the existing fence and put in new post. Let the post set overnight. Came out the next day and finished the job. I was very pleased. I know this is a long review folks but I wanted you to know what type of a person Brian is. Would I recommend Brian?, yes, in a heart beat.

He didn't return calls, I had to call him each time. I told him what kind of fence I have and told him that it would be a big job. He said he would come by and give me an estimate. After two weeks I called him and he said he would be by the next week. A week after he supposedly came by I had to call him again to find out that he wouldn't bid on my job. He described the fence exactly the way I did in the initial call, he should have stopped me then and save wasted month of my time.

In Erich Fromm's, Escape from Freedom, he describes some individuals who view others only as "commodities". They are nothing except for their "use". After reading all the reviews posted on this and other websites and personally experiencing the same unacceptable, unbusinesslike treatment, I believe Mr. Cherry is very likely one of the unfortunate people Fromm describes. After indicating that he will do a job, I think it would be relatively easy to just inform a prospective client that he's changed his mind rather than not show up and/or completely ignore messages. I am very disappointed in whatever mindset made it seem reasonable to ignore all my attempts to contact him after we spoke on the phone and he indicated he could and would do the job.

WOW! Our new fence is stunningly beautiful. We are so glad that we chose Residential Fence for our project. Brian Cherry is meticulous in his craftsmanship and his attention to detail is outstanding. Most of our neighbors hired a different contractor, and they did not receive the great results and same level of quality that we received. I hate to brag, but we now have the best looking new fence in the whole neighborhood. He takes pride in his work, and it really shows. I have received many compliments on it from people as they pass by our house. Make no mistake, experience really counts and Brian Cherry has a lot of it! I also believe that all the good guys are a little busy this time of year, and that is a good thing, so you must be patient. It was well worth waiting an extra week or two in order to get a perfect fence. 100% professional A+++. Thank you so much for delivering on your promises and exceeding expectations. I will try to post my "Before and After" pictures in a few days.
