I started using Wright Way in 2001, & service was fabulous until 2 years ago. 2-3 years ago, Kevin fired his lawn care team (because they asked for a raise). That team always did excellent work, tended to the little details like clearing leaves from around beds, great edging, always on time, kept my gates closed, etc. After Kevin fired that well seasoned/experienced team & replaced them with inexperienced crews, quality of work dropped dramatically, & did not improve; the crew just never seemed to catch on to good lawn care. Two summers ago several weeks they never showed. When they did finally show up several days late, the next week they would show up on regularly scheduled day, even though it would only be 2-3 days since the last mow; they would mow even though not needed. Last summer, I had to call Kevin several times to report incomplete work - entire sections of my yard would not be mowed. This included mowing only front but not back. After several weeks, I began to notice that large areas were covered with leaves. Instead of blowing the leaves away from the edges of my yard & trimming close to the beds, they just left them, & trimmed along the edges of the piles of leaves! Each week it got further & further towards the middle of my lawn, & they were ruining my lawn. When I called Kevin & asked him to re-do, he said he'd fix it the next week...& did not want to credit my account for work not done. His response? "We showed up, we should get paid." Quality of work & reliability of them showing up declined drastically after that & for the remainder of the mow season. I did not continue his lawn service this year. He might still be doing quality work for other people; I think he does work for the city of Carrollton. I think the significant decline in customer service for me was directly related to my declining his dinner date invitation. Sure, his crew does not take pride in its work, but he was always friendly about making good the work until I said "no" when he asked me out.
