Worst mistake ever - I heard these were great windows and they are really good windows. The problem is they were not measured correctly. The windows are too small for the opening and the installers had to put molding around them. I have pictures of the huge gap taken during installation. Now on hot days my AC runs constantly. It was MUCH better with the builder-grade windows that I replaced. I expected better for the thousands of dollars that I spent. I called and asked Mr. Ringer about this and have been ignored. I heard that the guy that does the measuring for projects is ill and is being replaced. At this point I regret going with the locally owned company. I do not know if the problem can even be corrected with different molding or insulation. I assume that I have no recourse but my attorney is the next stop. I would call anybody but Ringer for replacement windows.

"We’re sorry that our windows didn’t meet Mr. [Member Name Removed]’s expectations. Mr. [Member Name Removed] says his home was built in 2011 and it came with double pane builder-grade vinyl windows with minimal Low-E coatings. His concern(s) with his original vinyl windows were the seal failures and difficulty opening and closing them, not uncommon issues with builder windows. Mr. [Member Name Removed] swapped-out his underperforming builder-grade vinyl windows with our superior Elite 5400 Replacement Vinyl Windows. The reality is, replacing a fairly new builder grade vinyl window from 2011 will produce thermal results far less appreciable than that of an older single pane aluminum window. His original set of builder vinyl windows provided “better-than-average” performance as compared to an older aluminum builder window. With regards to “gaps”, especially replacement windows in stucco and masonry, they must be built slightly smaller than the existing openings so that they fit without distortion. After installation, we use specifically-designed trims and techniques that both “dress-out” the window and seal the perimeter. We’ve used these special components and techniques for 18 years with zero issues. Mr. [Member Name Removed]’s windows were measured and installed correctly within our guidelines and accepted standards, so the gapping was correct. We have no idea why Mr. [Member Name Removed]’s air conditioner runs constantly, as he claims. There are dozens of factors that we do not know about, nor do we control, that can affect his homes HVAC consumption & usage. These factors include the condition of his HVAC system, outside temperature, cooling preferences, energy costs, and many other things that could affect his HVAC. We’re sorry that Mr. [Member Name Removed] isn’t satisfied. We are confident with our windows, the sizing, and our installation and we stand behind both and will continue to work with him if anything new is brought to light. We’ve done thousands of homes, just like his, with the same set of windows and installation standards with tremendous success for nearly 20 years."

When we decided to replace all 19 of our windows, we had already decided to call Ringer, who had done the windows in my brother's house, and my parents' house, with rave reviews from them. Georgia came out and gave us a quote for the windows plus a sliding patio door. Fast forward 11 months (pandemic, supply chain issues, a bit of a mix-up on Ringer's end), and our windows and door have been installed. During the time we were waiting, we got 2 letters from Ringer, explaining what was going on. Ringer makes their own windows, and they were working overtime, training new teams to do a quality job, waiting for glass orders to come in, etc. Greg Ringer responded to my emails, and eventually I ended up getting calls from Jake. Toward the end we were getting impatient and crabby, but let me tell you that the end result was so great that we are very happy. I'm pleased to be able to honestly write a good review. We were able to tell immediately that cold air is no longer coming in at the window and door frames. The panes of glass don't feel as cold to the touch. The dogs are a bit sad that the hot sun is no longer beating in for them to bask in! All of the windows are finished beautifully - great job fitting/caulking/sealing. Our house had a couple of oddities which the crew were able to take care of perfectly. We had some fake windows right in the front of our house, which had screens and curtains, backed by drywall. They were able to switch gears for a little while so I could go out and buy some blinds to replace the 40-some-year-old curtains that had been sealed inside. They installed the blinds for us. We have a bay window, and they had to replace all of the framing for that. The huge blind that covered the bay window was damaged, and they actually made new brackets to get it back up and functioning. Ringer took down all of our blinds and put them back up as they were working. Throughout the process, the crew put down moving blankets inside and outside to keep everything clean. They picked up all the trash. Only one or two panes of glass got broken when they were removing old windows, and all of that was cleaned up. Everyone was friendly, and communication was very good. It took 2.5 days to get all of our work done. There were only 2 tiny details that needed fixing, and they came out the very next day and took care of everything. The windows have a lifetime warranty as long as we live in our house, and if we ever sell the house, the new owners can get a 10-year warranty at no cost. Our Ringer windows were worth the wait.

We just had the Ringer Elite Windows installed throughout our home in Sunset Canyon, Dripping Springs. The windows look wonderful and seem to be much more energy efficient than the windows we replaced. It is much too soon to comment on their durability. Ringer's installed price was considerably less than other replacement windows we considered. The two man installer team from Ringer did a great job. They started and finished the windows in each room prior to removing the windows in another room. They expertly removed and reinstalled all window coverings. Then cleaned all the windows and any dust they created during the install. Our install team had been with Ringer many years and it showed in their attention to detail and quality work.

Project completed in 40 days, installation took 4 days. Ringer staff made easy the carry-on of the project from beginning to end, including selection of new windows. The crew executed a quick and clean removal of old windows and the installation of new ones went very smooth. Very professional crew. After a few days of enjoying th e new windows, we could not discern a significant improvement on the rooms with "noise reduction" windows. Overall, very satisfied!

We received a prompt response to our request for a quote and were pleased with the quality of the windows and the price we received. The windows are manufactured to order and they were completed quicker than promised. The installation crew arrive promptly on the day they were scheduled and worked through some pretty nasty weather to complete the job. They did a great job of cleaning up as they left each day. We are very happy with the windows. They look great and the quality of the build and installation was great. We can't wait for some cold weather so we can enjoy not having to sop up the condensation. We would recommend Ringer Windows to anyone who needs replacement windows in Central Texas.

After reading lots of reviews I got three estimates. Ringer’s were right about where Titan’s were, but Titan was giving us two tempered glass windows out of nine - Ringer was giving us seven! Triple coated! Plus I like supporting local companies. The initial sales person/estimator was personable and helpful, the installation manager (who remeasured everything) was full of additional information, and the installation crew were very precise. They tarped inside the house to minimize cleanup, and really kept the mess to a minimum. I had worried about losing even an inch of windowsill space with the new windows (the units are a lot deeper than single pane aluminum) - because we display a lot of things in those spaces in the kitchen and dining room. But since the new glass is set at the OUTSIDE of the vinyl frames we actually have more space for our plants’ foliage to spread out than with the old windows. We’ve had our new Ringer windows for two and a half months now, so we’re no longer blown away every time we walk into another room. The installation looks beautiful, truly - both inside and out! We are tickled to death with our new windows, and I can’t thank the staff and craftspeople at Ringer enough. Their product has improved the quality of our lives substantially, and that’s important to us retired folks. I can hardly wait until our cash flow has recovered enough to finish the job - we still have five old windows (the ones on two sides of the house that we don’t look out of so much) which we plan to replace as well. We got the Elite windows because of the lifetime warranty. They are made very well, we did the install and they are heavy. I waited to see if they would actually help during the winter and being we had a night where it has dropped to 38 degrees, I'm pleased to say that our inside temperature only dropped 2 degrees. We haven't ran our heat yet. I'm very pleased. They also knew what was code and therefore able to bring our windows up to code.

Since it had been a good while since we got the first 8 windows from Ringer, they came back out and remeasured. The windows are made right here in Central Texas. Upon their return, the installers were great. Friendly, neat and professional! They also replaced a torn window screen at no charge.

Do yourself a favor: don't look any further than Ringer Windows if you need new/replacement windows in central Texas. Ringer Windows is quite simply the best example of a small, local company that blows the doors off ALL competition, local and national. My story is that I am all about value. It is tough to determine that if you only make such a large purchase as replacement windows once (hopefully). In all my research (which was extensive), it became clear from Angie's List that Ringer Windows was without peer, at least in the central Texas market. From the gitgo, the company overdelivered. Sales (Georgia) got back to me within an hour of my email request for a quote. She advised me expertly on a window configuration that would work for us. Greg (owner) personally gave me a tour of the impressive production facility in Taylor and answered all my questions and concerns. Jake (pre-install coordinator) came to my house, listened to me, and took precise measurements for a truly custom fit. The installation team (Herman and Lupe) were unbelievable. They took time up front to make sure the order was perfect. They were on time each day (7:45 a.m. start), were respectful and completely professional, cleaned up 100% each day and, most importantly delivered unbelievable quality in terms of the installation of our full-house replacement windows and three-panel sliding door in our media room. I was really blown away by their 100% competence. Oh, and the quality of the windows was perfect: no shoddy angles or rough corners, just perfectly fitting and looking windows. Ringer Windows rocks!

Nothing short of a perfect execution. From the moment I called them to the moment they finished, it was a great. I had three estimates. This was not the lowest price. It was by far the most comfortable. Georgia from Ringer was NOT selling anything. She was there to show me what they made. The others brought little samples. And seemed to want me to sign the paper so they could go. Ringer windows had the best glass, and the cost was not much more than the cheapest. We back up to a fairly busy street. Our old windows were aluminum. I walked in once they were in and first noticed how silent it was. Then, it rained, and it did nit get horribly humid. I am very happy. (also, I had a question, I called, and the owner answered. You just cannot get that in a company that manufactures its own product)

These guys are great, start to finish. Georgia came out to do the estimate and didn't do a big sales push; just described all the features and answered all my questions. Jake came to do the exact measurements and was also very friendly and knowledgeable. The installation team was Herman and another gentleman whose name I didn't catch. They were here for two days and were spectacular: fast installation (even when they had to wrestle with some stubborn hardiplank on the back of the house) and extremely diligent about cleanup as they went, vacuuming each room when they were done with each window. They manufacture their own windows, so it takes a while for actual installation, but it's worth the wait (and if you can be flexible with scheduling, they can put you on a shortlist in case of cancellations). If you have any noise issues (our house backs onto a major road), I highly recommend their laminated glass option for additional soundproofing. We got this for three of our windows and it makes an amazing difference. But even their "regular" windows will help hugely with sound control. Ringer windows come with a ten-year warranty, but I doubt I'll have to use it. Highly recommended.
