They charged me $140 for the intial visit just to come out and look at the unit. Instead of looking at the problem and trying to fix it they just told me I needed to buy a new unit. They weren't even going to try to fix the unit, they just wanted me to buy a new one from them. I felt taken advantage of. I called someone else and they were able to fix the unit with a small part.

Our a/c unit upstairs quit working Saturday evening. I found this company on Angieslist and called them late Saturday night, and they scheduled my appointment for early afternoon Sunday. Richard Socha was the serviceman that fixed our unit. He was early for the appointment, which we very much appreciated ! Richard was friendly, professional and had the unit repaired in record time. Thanks so much for excellent price and service !

Excellent. Our unit stopped working overnight. Thermostat was completely dead. Called them that morning and they were out the same afternoon. Arrived in the time window as promised. Diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse and rather than simply replacing the fuse they followed thru to find a wire that had vibrated a small hole in the insulation and replaced it. Checked everything out. All for the cost of a service call. I'd use them again in a heartbeat. Rarely have I seen better overall customer service and professionalism.

We had determined that the thermostat was good but not getting power. After checking the thermostat wall mount with a meter, he went up in the attic and came back with a burnt fuse and two very dirty filters. It was suggested that the filters be changed more frequently for lower electric bills and a lighter load on the system. He then proceeded outside to the compressors where he discovered a short in the wiring to one of the compressors. He re-stripped and repaired the wiring on both compressors. Total time was about 20 minutes. Cost was only the service call charge minus $15 coupon. I couldn't have been more pleased.

I have used Sun for many years. Always punctual, professional, does not sell you unneeded services, respond quickly to emergencies.

They stated it would take 10 days to order the parts. It was 90 degrees in the house...you don't wait 10 days in that type of weather.

Sun Air was able to send out a technician the next day to look at our non-running AC unit. Diego quickly diagnosed the problem as a couple of spent capacitors. He went to purchase the replacements, and they were installed in no time.

Since we have a home warrenty that covers heating & AC I called the home warrenty company. The technician of the heating & AC contractor sent by the home warreny company had our upstairs AC up and cooling in a week. The compressor had been wired incorrectly preventing it form cooling. SUN completely missed this issue. I estimate that the cost of the repair was $300 - $400.

They were great. They fixed it during the week of Cristmas. They came out to fix me up before his family went to Mexico. He was awesome.

They were here early and had it done before I knew it.

They went above and beyond the call of duty and completed extra work with the AC unit. They also cleaned up well after the work was completed.

Very well, better results than anticipated. We though there was a severe problem with one of the units, but apparently the original installer did not set it correctly.

I can in no way recommend this company. The upstairs & the downstairs furnaces in my house went out at the same time, or one went out, the other made up for it, then it went out. We had Sun come over to see what was wrong & give us a quote. The guy they sent said at a minimum, the downstairs evaporator coil needed to be replace, and to do the job right we should replace the downstairs furnace itself. He also said the upstairs furnace was dead & needed to be replaced, without question. Total cost of at least $4,200, or $6,000+ do "do it right." We then had someone from another company come out. To get the downstairs furnace working, all he did was light the pilot light. That was all that was wrong. The upstairs furnace needed a new blower motor & wheel, which we had him replace for a total cost of approx $700. I cannot believe that the guy from Sun didn't know to check the pilot light. Even if a guy's only been repairing furnaces for a week, he would know to check the pilot; I can only conclude that he was being terribly dishonest. As a note, it was my wife who worked with the guy from Sun. Frankly, I suspect he thought he could take advantage of the fact that he was working with a woman who doesn't know anything about furnace repair. In no way would I ever recommend this company.

They were very good. I was happy with them. It was one of three quotes I got. They came in, they did the job and did it completely, thoroughly poured in the foundation and everything. I was happy with the work. The pricing was comparable to everyone else. I would use them again.

Great experience with Sun. I called them at 3 in the morning in the middle of July with newborn twins at home, knowing that when the sun came up everyone was going to be miserable (it was already too warm in the house). I expected a call back in the morning, but got one 20 minutes later to schedule someone to come out first thing in the morning. They came at 8:00, fixed the small problem, and we were cool again within minutes. Given the small children in the house, Sun was a lifesaver.

I was very surprised as I called Sun Air to ask about Air Conditioner not working, they transferred me to technician and he gave me ideas and suggestions over the phone to fix the problem. Unbelievable and very shocked they are able to offer this to me. Wow. Thank You!!

Installation crew was very prompt and courteous; installation was performed very professionally.

They were efficient. The only small problem was that we had to wait 4 days in August Houston heat with no working a/c because they did not have the a/c unit we needed in stock.

I called this company 3 times requesting someone to call me regarding work needed on my A/C. Each time I called the answering service answered and said someone will contact which they never did. I choose to use this company because it was the highest rated A/C company servicing my area. I am not sure how they received that type of recognition if they don't return calls to prospective customers. The professionalism of this company, I rate as POOR!!!! I decided to use another company on the list that did not have as many reviews and was quite happy with the service. Sometimes the company that has the best reviews is not always the best company to give your hard earned money to.

They came out with a crane to put things on the roof. They were out early in the morning and they also finished the work that morning as well.

Professional service, from the two different people I spoke with on the phone to the service technician and the crew that installed the new unit. It was a pleasure to do business with this company and we would definitely use them again.

Very responsive to initial call. Richard came out and diagnosed the problem and put in temporary freon charge at no cost until a replacement unit could be ordered. Explained everything that was wrong in great detail. Answered all questions. A few days later they appeared as promised and replaced 3 and 1/2 ton evaporator coil. Installation was quick, professional and neat. Cleaned up after themselves. Did a really good job and I would not hesitate to use them again. In fact, I plan on buying a maintenance agreement with them.

I called Sun A/C & Heating last Sunday morning after my air conditioner stopped working. A technician came out the same day and tested the unit and found the capacitor was defective. He replaced the capacitor then made sure there were no other issues. I was very impressed with the skill and professionalism of the technician.

They were good. I would use them again.

They did a great job. They did have to come out 2 more times, because water was draining out of the secondary, on two different occasions. They came out quickly after hours and took care of it. I highly recommend them.
