About us
Welcome to Reed’s Pool Service! We specialize in in-ground pool cleaning and repairs. We offer: filter cleaning, pool cleaning, pool equipment repair, acid washes, tile blasting, and pool schools amongst others. We do pool repairs all over the city of Houston and surrounding areas. Please note that we ONLY clean pools in the Missouri City, Richmond, Sugar Land, and some Southwest Houston areas. About the owner, James Ayre: As a Texas native and a graduate from the University of Houston, I have deep roots in the state of Texas. I have been with Reed’s Pool Service for over 5 years and purchased the company from Reed Hartzog in August of 2017 just before Hurricane Harvey hit. While I was devastated by the damage to our city and state that Hurricane Harvey caused, I was proud to see our community pull together to help each other during that difficult time. It was a challenging beginning to my ownership, but it felt good to be a small part in helping people return to their normal lives by getting their pools back in order.

"This customer has a massive leak in their pool that we did everything we could to counteract for about a year and a half. We had a leak repair quoted to them that they failed to act on, so the pool water level was frequently below the skimmer, and then they would add water which would dilute the chemicals and keep the pool green. We were adding 9 and 12 gallons of liquid chlorine at a time in the summer which is a massive amount. Sometimes we were able to have the pool looking okay, but much of the time it was at least a little green. I will absolutely admit to an error when we commit one, and do whatever we need to make things right, but this was not one of those cases. Ultimately, if their pool leak had been repaired in a reasonable amount of time the pool absolutely would have been fine."
