Joe Ochoa Roofs & Even More

Robert Garza was my contact with Joe Ochoa roofing, he was very responsive to email and called me to fill me in on the costs and what the project involved.  The workers arrived on time and did all the work as requested, I would highly recommend and use them in the future.

1 yr later , I sustained a leak in the exact same area of the house that I originally called. The house is only 4 years old. So it seems unlikely a whole new problem developed since they did the repair.

They completed the work in a period of two days.  They were prompt, and did a good job of replacing all bad materials.  They did a double sweep of the area around my home for loose nails.  I was very pleased with the work that they did and the price that I paid for it.

An area of shingles about 5' long and 3 courses high had been ripped off in a wind-rain storm from my neighbor's house. Probably hadn't been properly nailed down by the builder. After checking Angie's list, I suggested, and he Ochoa and he called.  Ochoa, sent a guy out within 3 hour3. The guy replaced the shingles, and when my neighbor asked him the cost he said "Nothing." My neighbor gave him a US Grant anyway.

They were very prompt and responsive. Gave an estimate for the repair.  Chose another roofer that was able to do a small job at a more reasonable price. I have heard very good things about Ochoa Roofing. Just didn't use this time.

Great service, on time, and reasonable price.  They were detail oriented and got it all done in a timely manner.

Replaced roof tiles in an area approximately 5x5 feet.  Added a piece of metal to redirect water away from our doorway.  The redirect is only partially successful.  Mr. Ochoa was professional and friendly.  His crew was expert and also friendly.  I will definitely be using them again any time I have a roofing problem.  He is now my 'go to' person for roofing issues.

Estimate was made in a timely manner. Work was performed as stated. Very good service.

Joe was to come by the house at 4PM, however, he had called me that morning, while I was at work, saying he was in the area asking if we could meet then, I told him no one was home, stupid me right, he asked if he could go by and look at the house, I told him he won't be able to get into the back yard, but that wasn't a concern, he was to get back with me on a quote. At least a couple weeks went by when I received a text from Joe, giving me some excuse, asked if I already found someone for the job, I told him no to go ahead and send me the quote, haven't heard from him since.

THERE  WAS A HALFROOF REPLACE ON THE STORAGE HOUSE...CONNECT SOME BOARDS  IN THE RIGHT INSIDE CORNER.........RECONNECT A BOARD BACK IN FRONT OF THE MAIN HOUSE...REFUSE TO WORK  INSIDE THE STORAGE TO REPAIR THE BOARD....RENEE DID VERY LITTLE WORK WHAT A DONE I COULD HAVE GOT A GUY OF THE STREET TO DO THIS.I PAID FOR FULL SERVICE..I NEVER GOT IT...BUT THE COMPANY WANTED TO GET PAID..VICE PRESIDENT MR JAMIE OCHOA  WILL NOT SPEAK TO ME...IF I WAS A MAN HE WOULD SPOKEN TO ME...8/6/14

Our roof is a rather large roof (roughly 38 squares). We worked with Rob Garza. He was very professional.  He gave a written proposal detailing what would be covered. He explained which items would be extra (if necessary).  He was not pushy. Nor did he bad mouth any competitors.
The original start date had to be moved back due to all the rain. Rob explained that Joe Ochoa Roofing will not start a job if the weather forecast indicates a 20% chance of rain or higher.  This is obviously understandable.
Once the weather cleared, they sent a carpenter to do the minor soffit/facia board repair.  The next day the roofers arrived at 7 a.m. sharp (as we were told).  Rolando and his crew were polite and respectful.  They started and completed the job on the same day (finishing about 8 p.m.).  Rob Garza visited in the morning (to make sure equipment arrived), afternoon (to check on progress) and evening (to see completion).
The next day the carpenter returned to finishing painting the soffit/facia board, vent pipes and inspect the roof once more.  Rob called to see if we had any issue. I told him the only thing we noticed was the drip edge in one location appeared to be pushed up by our gutter. He fixed this within an hour.
Overall, Joe Ochoa Roofing did an excellent job.  Rob Garza oversaw the job from estimate to completion.  I am an insurance agent (although this was not a insurance claim job) and I would feel comfortable recommending Joe Ochoa to any of my clients.

Their price was a bit high but was very impressed with salesman and his follow up.  Ended up reducing price a bit and they were still my highest bid but I felt they were the company that I wanted to do the work.  It was a great decision.  The work was done in one day on a large roof.  They followed up the second day with another crew just to recheck the work and finish a few small details.  The site was kept clean and except for finding a handful of nails after they finished, they did a great job.

Arrived on schedule as agreed. Completed repairs without requiring me to be there. I did not climb up the ladder to the third floor to watch them so I can't give you a lot of details. One thing I particularly liked was that the proposal provided pictures as proof they had found the roof leak. All my communications were with David Hernandez. David was great and kept me informed. On a couple of occasions it took a day or two to get an answer to an email and it appears David was very busy. However, he always responded to my requests and was professional. I again received digital photos with the final invoice to show the work has been done. The quality of the work look excellent and professional.
