"This is partially true. Warped wood and underground sprinkler lines are sometimes, not very often, a problem. This fence is 4 months old. Our contracts are straight forward and transparent. I know of no one in this industry that warranties wood. Unfortunately 811 does not mark sprinkler lines. If we hit a line, and know we did, we fix it even tho its not required. I was shown a pic of only 1 leak not 3. My frustration in trying to keep folks satisfied is usually when a fractured sprinkler line goes undetected and then weeks or months later, regardless of the contract we are expected to pay for the damage. Now I have compromised before on this. It really depended on how I'm approached. My unpopular stand on this is however, IF you know that we don't cover warped wood or broken sprinkler lines....Why would you think your exempt from what we agreed on? I truly understand its an unexpected inconvenience. But the sole reason its in the contract is to give fair warning that it could happen and what you need to expect. My crew built my fence. I paid them. Within months a gate warped. Is it fair of me to require the crew to come back without pay and fix the gate?? I think not. So I fix it myself. I really hate disappointing good people like this customer. What's funny is that at 1st it was a great fence. After the sprinkler line I told him he should post whatever review he felt led to do. Also promising him, from experience, that he'd find something else negative to add to his complaint. Sure enough he did, Yep, wood warps. Folks look at the reviews here, Angies List, and my web site We're not perfect, but we d*** sure try."

"I don't play the veteran card. I'm a vet...PERIOD. So is he. His quote for 306.5 feet was $7271.00 that's $23.72 a LF. That's VERY reasonable. But yet he misrepresents the facts. He states he had no other bids yet tells me he had one for $4000.00 less than mine. Seriously??? You found a fence company that would do your 306.5 feet for $10.67 a LF??? What a load of bovine scatology!!! The real problem is you wanted the highest rated builder on Home Advisor for the last 10 years to give you a fence for practically nothing. If that's the kind of fence you wanted you shoulda hired your landscaper. You also coulda asked for your deposit back. But you didn't did you? I would encourage ALL consumers to get competing bids on your projects. Then go with the one that satisfies you the most. That's what I thought this guy was doing. You buy a fence for $11.00 a LF you'll get what you paid for. Man up!!!"
