I called in the morning asking for service that day because I would be leaving town the next. Although they said they usually schedule appointments for a few days later, they were able to find someone in my area to come in a matter of hours and look at my a/c.

It took two days to complete the installation. They were prompt, efficient and easy to deal with. They explained the system in detail and what the future maintenance requirements will be. Our water heaters are on the second floor of our attic with limited access. They sent out a crew of 5 people to install the water heaters and to complete the filtration installation on the second day. The Master Plumber who had explained the system to us also came out on both days. After they completed the installation they reviewed all aspects of the system with me. They had missed turning back on our cooktop when they left, I called one of installers, he returned immediately to turn it back on and make sure all was well. He also explained to my husband how to change timers, the filtration system out, etc.

Excellent. Techincian checked out system and installed new filter. Found no problems. Checked out possible leak in bathroom but found nothing recent. Suggested I keep an eye out and call if I note anything in future.

I found Morrow Mechanical on Angie's List after my prior HVAC service provider retired. (summer 2012) At that time, I needed immediate corrective service on my AC units. Summer in Houston without AC is not an option for me. While Morrow had no prior experience with me at that time, they were courteous, helpful and moved as quickly as possible to get my system back in operation. Since then, Morrow has serviced my HVAC system three additional times (1 corrective and 2 seasonal maintenance). Overall, in each instance I received prompt, friendly and effective service by knowledgeable professionals. On a detailed level, I break my experience down by the following categories: administration and initial customer service, technical capabilities, on-location service, price and follow-up service. In Administrative and initial customer service, Morrow is exceptional. Their team of office professionals is crisp, friendly and proactive. They call with dependable information on scheduling, the technician assigned to our job and the technician's proximity to our home. Additionally, they provide calls with updates when appropriate. In technical capabilities, Morrow's technicians have proven themselves to be knowledgeable and capable technicians who are able to explain their findings in easy to understand language. Moreover, they consistently take the time to field my questions and to ensure that I am comfortable with the total service experience. On price, I'm sure I could find a cheaper price with some hunting; however, I doubt that I could easily find a better value. Morrow may not be the cheapest, but they deliver excellent value consistently. On follow-up, Morrow again has stood out. I was pleasantly surprised last year when Morrow called to ensure I was pleased with the service provided. A rarity these days. In summary, I couldn't be more happy with Morrow, they are great to work with!

Everything went well, they came, did the job, cleaned up their mess and left, job done all in one day. One of the tech's step throughout the ceiling, the company sent out another company and fixed the hole, you cannot see the repair, brand new again.

Great, clean, used footies, stayed out of our way and efficient.

With the AC, the water had to drain out of the house like the over flow water. It was creating a gargling sound every time the AC runs. They found that it was backed-up; they cleaned that out so the water can drain out from the AC. My only complain with them is that there are no follow-ups. In the summer time when I signed up for the AC service, there was a special offer to get the heating inspection done. They said they would call me when the heating season started. They never called me. So, I had to call them. Then, I had a problem with my unit when they came out for the heating inspection and they said they would follow-up with me. I never heard back from them. They are just not very good with follow-ups.

We were very pleased with the prompt response and same day service on a Saturday. We did not have heat on the main floor of the house. We felt we had prompt and professional service. The gentleman found he did not have the part on the truck so he went back to the shop and brought it back within an hour. We felt the price was reasonable.

Flawless from start to finish. They put down tarps so they wouldn't mess up the carpet and they cleaned up after themselves.

My son called Morrow Mechanical as the combination a/c heating unit in the house we own (but he lives in) wasn't working. They set up an appointment right away, gave an estimate that was very reasonable, and came the next day to install the part and fix the unit, which is now working perfectly. What a relief! My son was VERY impressed with the service person's knowledge and expertise; he took the time to explain to him what was wrong with some work we had done by another company and we are now very happy with this experience. As an added bonus... we were able to use a coupon from Angie's List. We would highly recommend Morrow Mechanical for their punctuality, expertise and ease of doing business with them.

We called Morrow Mechanical, they set up an appointment almost immediately. They came out and told us they needed some equipment to complete the installation and returned with it the next day. They fixed our problem quickly and to our satisfaction, we will definitely call them if we need a/c work in the future.

I have been a customer of Mark Morrow's for 20 years. I have only had one bad experience, and that was this summer. When my air conditioner burned up this summer, it also disabled the other system and I had no air conditioner. In the past, if something happened, I could call and leave a message and Mark would call back quickly, no matter if it was late at night or on the weekend. That didn't happen this time. I called the emergency number, but evidently no one was monitoring it. I called back again three hours later and again in the morning. I finally called back and got someone during normal business hours. If this had been my first time, I would never use them again. Hopefully this was just an exception and i will continue to receive the top of the line service I have been accustomed to in the past.

The job went very well, in fact the entire process was easier than expected, except for the cost. I assumed it was a fair price and didn't check around, since I was impressed both with Morrow's expertise and easy communications. It was very hot here in 2011 so I don't know if the electric bill is a fair comparison, but I do know that it is about 30% less consistently since the new units are in. Also, the new systems are Lennox, replacing Trane. Some have since told me Trane is better, I don't really know. The installation crew seemed very efficient and competent, and in fact the "in the attic" equipment looks better arranged and more robustly installed than what was there. The house was new when we moved in so I have seen both new systems. It has been six months now, a/c and heat, and no problems. In fact I hardly notice when the system comes on.

Morrow Mechanical responded quickly, and was extremely thorough in their diagnosis of our air conditioning problem. They laid out all the options outlining pros and cons of each.

The tech that did the estimate was nice and seemed knowledgeable. I went with another company that had a better product/price. The only frustration was that the person in the office contacted me for payment of the fee for the estimate via email after I had paid it.

Went very well, they were quick and courteous. I am a little disappointed that the AC unit they said was an upgrade to the basic home model seems to start louder than my old unit.

After initial service visit, determined my old unit needed replacing. I decided to replace the furnace at the same time. From the beginning of the process to the final installation of my new unit, I couldn't be happier. Every promise was kept and every person I dealt with at Morrow was courteous, professional and great to deal with. What sold me on using this company was the prompt service and the fact they use their own employees to do the installation. No subs. Not that subs are bad, but it is easier to deal with one company and not going back and forth between the contractor and the sub if there is an issue. The whole process was as painless (excluding the heat). Great Job Morrow Mechanical!

My home air conditioning system failed on a Saturday, and, after consulting Angie's List, I called Morrow Mechanical. They came out quickly (less than three hours after I phoned) and did a quality repair. Glenn, the repairman, explained in detail what he would do, and he was very thorough and clean. I speak highly of how he took care of me. Christa, the phone Secretary, kept me informed as to when Glenn would show up. Again, I had a most positive experience with Morrow Mechanical, so much so, that I signed up for a twice a year visit by them in the future. They are a great company with awesome people.

Morrow did really good work for what was an good price. They weren't the cheapest place we got quotes from. They did the whole job in a single day and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. We noticed the next day where a worker had cracked the ceiling in an out of the way area of the house. We sent them a picture and they took care of the whole thing. I would recommend them to others.

When our A/C broke down we called the contractor who performed the system inspection in the spring. They indicated that they could not get to our house for 24 hours. In this heat that is not acceptable. So, we checked Angie's list and called Morrow. Morrow said they could have a tech there in less than 3 hours (between 5 and 7). So far so good. Eric arrived at 7:15 and commenced to diagnose the problem. In the course of discussing the symptoms I told him we had the capacitor replaced last summer. He checked various things. When he could determine no other problem he checked the capacitor and found that was the problem. He said they usually check that first, but he could not believe it only lasted a year. Our entire system is only 4 years old. He replaced the capacitor and then got me a price. I asked if Amana covered the capacitor under warranty. He said they would, but that he only carries a better brand. If I wanted the warranty replacement part he would have to get it and come back the next day. He also said they always perform a $79 inspection when they perform a repair.

We had condensation dripping from the intake side of our AC unit in the attic. We called a company we found on Angie's list. They told us our entire AC unit needed to be replaced (inside and out) and that we may as well replace the furnace too. The cost - about $11,000. The technician pointed out numerous problems with our system and noted the likelihood that the whole thing might fail at any moment, making the repair/replacement more costly still. I'm no AC expert, but some of what this guy said did not seem to make sense. I thought I should get a second opinion. I called Morrow Mechanical, who I also found on Angie's list. Their diagnosis was much less costly and made more sense. However, I challenged their diagnosis with some of the problems the other company found and in each case they explained why it was wrong. They could have easily convinced me to make more costly repairs or even replace the system, but they stood by their diagnosis. I waited a couple weeks to post this review just to make the AC unit was still running and that the 1st company was wrong. I am very happy to say that not only is it running, but it is working better than ever. The new components Morrow put in and the tuning they did got rid of the condensation problem, made the system cool more evenly and even seems to make the unit run less. When choosing a contractor, you have to trust; 1. that they are honest and 2. that they know what they are doing. Morrow excelled at both.

The service crew arrived promplty Saturday morning and laid tarps all over the upstairs and downstairs walkways. Old units was pulled out and new system installed in about 5 hours. Outside, the A/C unit was nicely installed with the electrical connection looking very professional. The tech gave us a trial run before he left so we were comfortable using the unit after they left.

My A/C wasn't cooling, they got up in into the attic and showed me what the problem was. There was an accumulation of dust in a certain line and showed me how to fix it myself in the future in case it happens again. So instead of calling them out again in the future I could do it myself. So basically they ended up saving me money.

Our A/C unit went out and we were not able to figure out what was wrong. I checked Angie's list and found two companies to try. I tried calling the first one (a Saturday) and got the answering machine, so I left a message. Then I tried calling Morrow Mechanical. I was able to speak to an actual person and set up an appointment for the following Monday morning. The technician arrived and was very professional, understanding and helpful. He found what the problem was and suggested possible solutions and gave me their price. He fixed the problem and the unit works well now. He was also very helpful and answered my questions regarding my unit and some things we can do in the future.
