LEVEL CHECK FOUNDATION REPAIR

They replied quickly and set up an appointment to come out to check foundation. They determined that nothing needed to be done at this time. We appreciated that they were on time, professional and answered all of our questions.

We called Robert after acquiring the home from the seller, including the transferrable warranty about doing some leveling work on the garage, and house, and have called him several times since then. He is always very short/brusque and sometimes rude. EACH AND EVERY TIME I need to have any warranty work done, I have to fax a copy of the warranty. I think they do this in hopes that people will lose that precious piece of paper and have to pay again. We have been told on several occasions that even though we have huge cracks extending out from windows and door frames that the "floor is level". I will continue to call him when absolutely necessary, ONLY because we have the warranty. We finally did give up on him with the garage issue and called and spent money with someone else.

I needed to have some foundation repairs done before closing on a house. The seller had warranty from this company on several existing piers. When giving an estimate, for the warranty work, they wanted to install additional pilings. It came out to cheaper than other estimates, so I suppose it was a decent deal.

Robert ,who had advised us to have the entire perimeter done( as "insurance" to further problems) did not show up on the day of work. His crew removed plants and shrubs, two of which were permanently lost. They piered the entire perimeter, checked inside to be sure it was level, and cleaned up. They never checked the water or plumbing lines to be sure they were still intact. Continued movement took place in the falling months and years, and we would call Robert who would send out a crew to correct the sagging. Each time we did that, the problem grew worse. He then suggested we might have a broken water line or leak which was causing the continual shifting. I asked for a refund on our investment, since this was clearly not working after three attempts, and he became rude, brusque and hung up the phone. Zero people or customer skills. Run, don't walk, from this company.

My husband and I purchased our home two years after Level Check Installed 15 ram driven concrete pilings for the previous owner (in 2005). From a customer service standpoint, Robert Goree fails miserably. Within 30 days of purchasing the home, I contacted Robert to inquire about transferring the warranty for the foundation repairs made to the home. He was both rude and short with me on the phone; he would not offer information on his own, I had to drag the information out question by question. As I recall, he told me that the piece of paper I had was not the actual warranty and therefore it couldn’t be transferred without paying a fee additional to the fee to transfer the warranty. When I asked why he wouldn’t stand behind his work and transfer the warranty without the additional fee, he informed me that this is just how companies like his work, that it’s a tactic for him. After finishing our conversation, I called him back again to ask a few more questions I had. His reply was, “I’m not sure what else there is to talk about.” Our preference is to do business with people who care about their customers and our experience with this individual was anything but caring. It makes us wonder if he really knows what he’s doing if he’s not willing to stand behind his work. All that being said, we had a different company come out in 2009 to check the foundation because sheetrock cracks had started at the corners of windows and across the ceiling in the area of the house where Level Check had fixed the foundation. The area was still level, but we live in fear that the work was not done well enough to fix the problem the first time.

Robert and his crew are tops. He came out, looked at the issues inside and out and suggested a solution. Then, he explained why he felt the solution he proposed was the proper one. His bid was by far the most conservative one we received. If you know you have a foundation problem, you will quickly learn that everyone has a different proposed solution to the problem. And, MANY foundation repairman will try to put in far more piers than you need to fix a problem. Once we selected Level Check to do the work, it only took a couple days to get on his schedule to have the piers installed. The men arrived on time and worked almost unceasingly in the heat of July until they got the work done. Robert was on hand for the actual "lifting" of the foundation to make sure the house was level. I have waited to post this feedback for two years. I did this because I wanted to make sure that this conservative approach fixed the problem. It did. We have NOT had further issues. LEVEL CHECK deserves my thanks!!
