Scheduled an appointment through their website on August 5th. Received an automated email response, so I know it went through. Appointment day - August 6th came and I didn’t receive confirmation like the automated email said, so I called them. Guess what? No record of my address having an appointment. Really!!? He said we can put you on the schedule for Saturday (today) at 3:00 pm. Here we are after 5:30 pm and I have not heard from anyone. So one star for the automated email. ? Good luck! ?

Their service is okay but they cane be quite annoying because they call and call even if its not time or maintenance. I've even asked them to stop and they won't. We have a warranty with them if not we wouldn't use them. The technicians are nice but so try to up sell.

I give the technicians an A but not the office staff.

They were quick to come out when we called them. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly.  They did a good job. The quality of work and the price is what keeps me using them.

The only beef that I had with them is they just called me all the time. They do a good job when they would come out and everything. They would just call too much just trying to give specials and "have you had it done yet?", you know, and just bugging you. It was $69 for two units. They do a good job. I mean, I didn't have a problem with their service. It was just they wouldn't quit calling me. I told them that I didn't want to do it again in the Spring because I had just had it done in the fall and I would tell them, "no, I don't want to do another one". They would call me every week, I would block the call and then they would call from another number. They would call the house phone and they would call my cell phone. It just really got to be a nuisance. When I would tell them no I am not interested this time, I'm fine, don't call again, they would still call. It was just a annoying. That's their office people. As far as their actual service, it was fine. The price was good. For responsiveness, they get a B because my needs were for them to quit calling me and they wouldn't.

This company is not to be believed! Almost every time they have done their inspection (every 6 months) they have found something that has cost on average of $300-$500 and they have said it needs to be taken care of right then or it will nullify the lifetime warranty if it breaks down due to the "problem."
This time someone came in and checked the system and told us that it was rusted out (in the attic) and would not last long and our only option would be to get a new system. There was also the problem that we had the older Freon in the system and they would have to replace the system upstairs for the newer type because of that.  However we would also need to get a new outside unit because the 2 would no longer be compatible (we found out otherwise later). This would cost a sum total of approximately $18000-$21000.
This technician had left the cover off the filter box after inspecting the unit upstairs. As a result there was a lot of dust and dirt being distributed in the house adding to our allergies. At an earlier date I had purchased an ADCO UV filtration system (this was a good one) and needless to say that thing was working overtime and not able to keep up. Also, the filter that they had been replacing every 6 months was not the right size or brand for the filter box so more allergens were getting distributed within the house.
They were holding us "hostage" by the "lifetime warranty" (that wasn't a lifetime warranty). I would suggest unless they change their ways please do not think about using them.

Broke the stairs to the attic with their fat butts and refused to fix saying that it might have been defective,
Cost me another thousand to replace with another contractor.

He pointed out several items, drain pipe getting plugged,  condensing unit, outside was drawing 101 amps and he recommended an add on device, relay switch pitted recommended replacement, and unit needed Freon.

Would not just replace Freon because he said it was more than 20% low and he would have to evacuate unite and replace ALL the Freon.  wanted apx. $300 to replace relay switch, 350 to add part to reduce starting load on pump.  wanted to replace switch on drain pan with one in drain line, didn't get price.  Told me the furnace was not variable speed, but upon further checking it  Wanted to replace condensing coil in furnace even though he told me he detected NO oil on coil.

Gave me an estimate on replacing defective materials including new AC unit of $10,035, guess I have better check around a little first.

They gave me a price going in but I trusted them and I did not receive another bid. They are a crooked outfit and I would not recommend their services to anyone. So far the work is all right but they used the bottom of the line equipment. I researched it and tt was the lowest grade you could get. They say they have a lifetime warranty. However, I do not believe it. From what I heard, I am quite sure the labor would be so high that it would be cheaper to use another provider. They have a very poor reputation.

I will not even accept their calls or use them again.  I showed the people who came later what admiral had told me and they told me that the system did not have any of those problems.  They provided service immediately but honestly I don?t think 90% of what they did needed to be done.  They offered to do the right job later, but I could not trust them again.

Response from Houston Admiral Air Conditioning and Heating

"I believe that this is a case of mistaken identity and that this customer is posting a report for another company. We did not do this job.as far as I know and would ask that this report be suspended until the customer that wrote the report can be contacted and produce an invoice with our name on it. As far as I know we have never worked for this customer."

I received a cold call from Admiral Air Conditioning several weeks ago offering a complete inspection of my A/C system for $59.95. I usually avoid accepting these offers, preferring to pick the companies myself, but was very busy at the time so agreed to accept the offer. I found it a little odd that the person who called me to arrange for the service had to call a supervisor over to confirm all the details of what we had agreed to (much like a call bank). It wasn't until the day they arrived that I got around to looking them up on the BBB website and found them to be rated D- for unresolved customer complaints. Two guys showed up for the inspection and began to find things wrong immediately: The coil was rusty and leaking, needed a new flow switch, the A/C units were not level, needed to replace the condenser, and needed to replace the fan motor. The coil alone would be $3350, and they suggested that we run a dye test on it where they inject dye into the system to see where it's leaking freon. That way we could determine whether it could be repaired rather than replaced. Sounded like a good idea, so asked them what it would cost. The answer: $850! with, of course, no guarantee that they wouldn't have to replace the coil anyway for $3350. This was all sounding very suspicious to me, so told them I would need a second opinion before proceeding with any work (they were not happy to hear this). I paid my $60 and sent them on their way. I then looked up a well-rated A/C service on Angie's List (just became a member a few weeks ago) and they inspected the whole system today (about a week after Admiral). The result? The system was in good shape (technician rated it a B+), the coils were clean and needed no repair, there was no indication of a leak, no problem with the condenser, and no problem with the fan motor. Only issue is that the drain lines needed some cleaning. Total cost of the second inspection: $69.95. I believe Admiral was trying to scam me.

We had checked out 15 service providers in the Houston area. These people came before the cold front came through. Everybody else had called us only after it. It was unusually cold and they were a godsend. They went up to see if we had any mice or any critters and if everything was okay. They came right when they said they would. They were terrific and there was hardly any inconvenience. One of the gentlemen even came on crutches. They were right on time and surprisingly good. They man who actually did the work went outside after he was finished. It was the gentleman in the crutches who took care of the paperwork. They were here for about 15 minutes and everything worked out well.

They misdiagnosed the problem and recommended a costly repair. The service manager who was supposed to come out did not show up and also did not return my call. I then called another company for a second opinion and they found out that it was a minor problem. I was disappointed with their service.
