I brought my car into this shop because they had done service for me in the past and I was satisfied. On this occasion however, I was definitely not! I had been hearing a squeaking and grinding sound in the brakes of one of my wheels for a while and wanted to get rid of it. I described the problem and they said they would check it out and give me a call. A short time later, I got the call saying the brakes look good but the ball joints needed replaced. I asked if that may be the cause of the noise I was hearing and was told maybe. I got the car back the same day and noticed that the sounds I had been hearing were reduced but still there. Over the next week, not only did the brakes get noisy again they were worse than when I started. I brought the car back and they "cleaned up" the brakes which did improve the noise for a few weeks but not get rid of it. Eventually, I took the car to someone else to have it looked at. Turns out another shop was able to see where one of the brake pads was grinding into the rotor and identified the problem easily. Also though, and the real reason I am so dissatisfied, I was able to inspect the work done while the ball joints were replaced. The installation was horrible looking. I could see where a hammer had been used to forcefully smash parts into or out of place leaving large dents on the metal around the joints. I also saw c-clips that were not properly installed and dust jackets that were damaged. Worst of all, one of the spindles was actually broken. I will not be back.
Description of Work: Changed ball joints. Checked brakes.

My wife's PT Cruiser was having some vibration upon braking and I took it here to get the brakes checked and an oil change. They were one of the few places open on a Saturday so that we could actually get in without taking time off work. My wife and I dropped off the car and went on to do some errands. They did an inspection very quickly and called explaining they that the bushings in the control arms were worn out. After explaining the problem, I agreed to have the work done and they replaced the control arms and the rotors that same day. They also kept the old parts long enough to show me what they were talking about and explain exactly what the problem had been when I came in to pick the car up.
Description of Work: Replaced control arms, rotors, and oil change.
