This company has my business for life, and they never even stepped foot in my house. I called late Tuesday night and Jennifer, the owner's wife, answered the phone. She was polite and professional. As we were scheduling my appointment, she asked how old the heater was, I said 5 years old. She advised me to take photos of the hot water heater and the master plumber on call walked me through a simple reset. Jennifer saved me $125 for the service call, which cost them money. But it earned a customer for my future plumbing needs. It's rare to find a service company with integrity and superior customer focus. Thank you!!!

The only issue I had was with the front office. I had purchased the 2-hour Big Deal and they responded through a Angies List message, instead of a call or email, and I apparently had my notifications off, so I waited a week before realizing that they had already tried to contact me through Angie's List. I called and we rescheduled, but the first message said they could preform the service the next day, but now they said I would have to wait a week or more for someone to be in my area. None of this was a major problem, since I work out of my home, but the whole process was a little frustrating. The other thing is that they said the service would be performed from 2-4pm. Seeing that it was a two-hour deal I assumed this meant they would be there around 2pm, but apparently they meant that the service rep would show up within that window and then the two-hours would begin. They ended up arriving near 4pm, due to a previous client taking longer than expected. Once again, none of this was a huge issue, but I just wanted to share with Angie's List members, so they could avoid the same frustrations by making sure their AL notifications are on and realizing that the two hour time frame for service is not for the service, but for when they will arrive. Now to the actual review... Johnny arrived within the time frame mentioned and got to work quickly. We had some water leaking from under the toilet and he said that we would probably only need a $10 wax ring seal to fix the problem. He place the wax ring under the toilet and the leaking has seemed to stop. From there, I had him clean three slow sinks, one slow shower, and take a look at one tub drain. He not only did a great job of clearing out all the drains, but he also gave a lot of advice along the way. He insisted that he keep me up to date on everything, to the point where I basically shadowed him for the entire two hours. Johnny also replaced a toilet flapper for $6 and made sure that the seal was strong. Seeing that the labor was only for two hours I was surprised how quickly he worked! I assumed that he would work slow and then try to charge me extra, instead he worked so fast and a efficiently that after an hour and twenty minutes there really wasn't anything else I could think of for him to do. I feel like the $135 two-hour deal was well worth it. We really should have had it done much sooner.

They didn't have a long enough camera and told us to call Roto Rooter. There was no offer to refund any portion of our money and the plumber never called to give feedback.

Woke up one morning to both water heaters being out. I called Tierney Plumbing after being quoted an astronomical amount by another well-commercialized plumbing company for a water heater replacement ($3500!). Jennifer told me what the cost was and indicated she would honor the Angie's List deal they had for $999 but charged $200 extra for it being in the attic as two guys would need to be on the site (naturally). She stated that everything with the exception of things that I likely didn't need, that their company's quote included everything the other quote did. Jennifer stated that if there were other issues she would let me know. She got a couple of her guys out to my home later that day and they exchanged out the heater and told my sitter that everything looked ok and that we would have hot water without any problems. It's been a little over a week now and we haven't had any issues. Overall, I was really pleased with Tierney Plumbing. Jennifer was considerate about my work situation and dealt with my adult sitter when there were questions. The plumbers were polite and worked efficiently, and their price was fair! I was nearly charged three times what I should have been with the other company! I am definitely happy I found Tierney Plumbing on Angie's List and will continue to use them in the future.

Arrived on time and installed the parts very quickly. Outstanding results. Will use again for any future issues.

Accessed through Angie's list, signed up for 2 hours of service and called directly to follow-up as we were on a short timeline. The company was responsive, scheduled the service within 2 business days, arrived on time, came in lower than the quote, and was professional. Highly recommend!

I was not present for the estimate, but we payed for 2 hours of plumbing through Angie's List and the quote we received was higher than another (without a coupon) to find the main water line and tie in a whole home water filter.

Johnny was great and very professional. The sink I was going to have him install did not work with my bathroom. He did not charge me for the first trip since he was unable to do the work. It was quick scheduling the second appointment once I had the correct parts. He installed the sink and the faucet very quickly so he was able to install a toilet for me that I had purchased as well.

Great communication and timing. Would recommend.

They were on time and worked quickly. Did more than what was expected. He also gave me a heads up on some non-pluming work that may be needed in the master bathroom. The guest toilet that was giving me problems is now working fine.

Jason was very professional and efficient. He took the time to explain exactly what he was doing and why. He was pleasant and cheerful and kind. I would definitely use him in the future.

I've never had to call a plumber before. So I was pleasantly surprised. First, they offered to come after 5:00 pm which was very accommodating. Gary arrived promptly, asked what issues we were having with the kitchen sink plumbing, did an evaluation, and went right to work. When he found nothing in the pipes, he checked the air admittance valve and found it needed to be replaced (it was about 10 years old). He gave us a quote on the cost for him to replace it for us, and also let us know how to fix it ourselves. Gary was pleasant, informative and professional. In fact, he was done in 30 minutes and asked if there was anything else we would like him to look at while he was here. We mentioned a minor, intermittent issue with the toilet and he gave us advice on how to fix it if it became worse or occurred more frequently. Tierney Plumbing will be my first call if we have any future plumbing needs.

They were on time. They called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They were very courteous. They were very knowledgeable of what they needed to do. They fixed it really quickly which is really good. They knew what they were doing. They were just very courteous, polite and gave good service. We will use them again. The price was very reasonable.

Ron Tierney called before he was scheduled to arrive to confirm that appointment. He listened to the details of the problem and worked diligiently for well over an hour to clear the line. Once complete he asked if there was anything else that was needed and showed me how to replace a faucet head in the main bathroom.

I really liked dealing with Tierney Plumbing! I've had mixed experiences with plumbers in the past, but used Tierney off of Angie's List this time. They have good reviews, and their shop is within 10 miles of my neighborhood. I want a plumber that's fairly close by, since anything involving plumbing is usually an emergency. If this worked out with Tierney, I wanted to hang on to them. I bought an Angie's List Deal, "$135 for 2 Hours of Plumbing Work." I made the purchase on July 11th, and was contacted the following day to schedule the work; my appointment was for the next week (July 17th) between 2p - 4pm. Although my situation was not an emergency, a leaky toilet can quickly become a major situation so I appreciate their quick contact and scheduling. I rated my experience with this business as "A's" but marked the company's punctuality at a "C" this time, since the plumber showed up 45 minutes past our two-hour scheduled time and no one called to communicate this to me. I understand traffic, weather, and stuff happens, but do believe a phone call is in order when you see you're not going to make it during the established timeframe. With that said, everything else went very well. "Johnny" (the plumber) arrived, assessed the issues, and told me what he would be doing. He used shoe covers, which I appreciated since it had been raining that afternoon. Johnny fixed the flange, replaced the wax ring, and tightened the leaky toilet back in place. It had been loose and he showed me where the floor tile was not level, which had caused the unit to work loose. He made some adjustments to level the toilet so it would stay in place without over-tightening the bolts. Johnny also fixed both toilets that had very low water levels in the bowls. "People" had told me the water levels were low because these are low water use toilets; that made no sense to me because flushing 2 -3 times to clear & clean the bowl is "wasteful" (a plumbing play on words). I had even started looking for new toilets because I thought this is the way they were designed. I'm so glad I waited to talk to a pro first - I paid for a plumber but save lots of money by not listening to the "all-knowing 'People'! I appreciate Johnny's professionalism; he was cordial and explained what he would be doing to address the problems. He worked for awhile and then conducted numerous test flushes to ensure the leak at the floor was fixed and that I was happy with the water levels in the bowls. He cleaned up after the repairs so the area was immaculate, and offered his assistance if there were any issues with the repairs. Johnny was courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. The Tierney staff was efficient and friendly. These qualities speak to the essence of customer service - something that is sadly lacking in the business world today. Because of this, dealing with Tierney Plumbing was an excellent experience - I will use them again as my plumber of choice and I will definitely recommend them to my family and friends! Excellent service! Great timeliness! Very professional!

First, the plumber was late for his scheduled appointment. Secondly, I am not a plumber and to the best of my ability requested my valve in my shower to be replaced from a two knob unit (Separate pressure and temp) to a one knob unit (both pressure and temp). I told this to the plumber when he arrived AND on a message on the phone the day before. I even bought the one knob unit at Ferguson's which they instructed me to do. The plumber said he could do it without opening the wall and getting into the valve which I thought was neat however, at the end of the two hours, it was still a two knob unit. Both my wife and I were dissatisfied. The office said that if we were to continue to with the project, they would charge us their regular rate of $135 an hour because it was our responsibility to explain the job (which we did) and supervise the plumber. It was not their fault the plumber did not follow the job order. We did compromise on the rate a bit but after paying $450 for a project that we budgeted $300 for, we are extremely dissatisfied. We will not be using them again. Angie list users... be careful.

I purchased a special plumbing offer for $135.00 for 2 hours of labor. This price was represented as worth $270.00. Mr Tierney did a great job of resetting the toilet + replaced all the inner parts of the tank. I paid about $65.00 for the parts. This is the first time any repairs have been done on this 15 year old toilet. The next day, I discovered that the toilet never stopped running water from the tank, but after I lifted the lid of the tank, I was able to stop the water flow. I left town for 2 weeks & returned to find the same problem occurring over & over again, but I was able to jiggle the handle most of the time to stop the water flow. Finally the handle broke & I was unabe to flush the toilet. I called the office & explained the issue. the next day another young plumber returned & replaced the handle. I was shocked when he told me the charges, as I believed that the labor charge would be waived. I called the office & was told that the charge would be $135.00 for the 15 to 20 minute service call. I questioned this charge, since I couldn't understand why the handle was not replaced the 1st time when it was exceedingly rusty & all the other parts were replaced. The office lady proceeded to tell me that this charge was justified since she has to pay workmans comp + insurance. After disagreeing with her , she then agreed to lower the charge to $75.00. I paid this amount, but still question why the handle was not replaced the 1st time. It ended up being a very expensive toilet handle.

It was a good experience, but they refuse to honor the second service as it is one time deal.

The guy did the job in less than 30 minutes and the lady in the office gave me credit for the rest of the time and she was pleasant to work with. I will be having granite put in and they are going to come and remove the sinks and apply that towards the time. They were thorough and the guy arrived on time. He did a good job and the faucet is fixed.

Amazing! I scheduled an appointment for 3 days later, due to an emergency situation called to see if I could get them out earlier, they came same day, fixed the clog, didn't overcharge me. Even fixed my shower leak for free while they were here. Best part: due to my 1979 plumbing there is a weird T under the slab that goes from one commode to another, while trying to fix the clog, the machine went through the T and chipped my other toilet, Tierney brought it to my attention, had someone bring out a brand new toilet, WAY BETTER than the 1979 one I had, replaced it all free with free labor, all done same day during the same trip! Fantastic service! Issues come up with home repair, it's how a company handles it that matters! I will use them again for sure!
