The gentleman that did the work for us was very professional. He was completely honest about what he was doing and showed me what needed to be replaced. He didn't have one part he needed so he went to Home Depot to get it and fixed it all within 2 hours. He also answered question that I had about replacing some faucet's.

I like them a lot. They did a good job. I called them the last minute because my shower wouldn't turn off. They sent the owner out within an hour. I was pretty impressed. They didn't think that we're gonna have anybody for several years but they finished the job early and he came over right away. I would absolutely use them in the future.

cy This is the second time we have had Tierney out to the house. They were great. The plumber called when he was on the way and showed up right on time. We had two older toilet replaced with two new high efficiency ones and had a third toilet unclogged. After the work was performed on the toilets, there were 15 minutes remaining on the two hours we had purchased. The plumber asked if we needed anything else done around the house. He then cleared a couple of slow draining sinks. He could have just left after completing the scheduled work, but instead went the extra mile and made sure we got our moneys worth!

This went very well for us. He came late in the evening but got the work done quickly. He was very nice and polite even giving me some advice. They answered all of my questions. I would use this provider again.

Originally Tierney sent a plumber out on Thursday as the last call of the day which was same day service even though I called late in the day. The first plumber was unfortunately unable to clear the clog with the snake he had with him as the clog was too deep down the line. They then scheduled James, a plumber who has been with the company for many years, and who had more heavy duty equipment, to come back the next day at 8:00 AM. He worked with every piece of equipment he had trying to clear the clog but we ended up having to open up the floor and the wall and replace some bad pipes, including a bad P-trap that was causing the clog. James worked hard and diligently all day by himself with no help jack hammering up the floor, digging, and replacing pipes all the while having a wonderful, friendly attitude and keeping us informed of every step. He was a pleasure to have in our home and worked late into the evening even though it was his wedding anniversary and was going to be late for his dinner reservation. We ended up having James back at 8:00 on Saturday morning just to put everything back in place as the new concrete he poured the day before needed to dry, but he was here right on time and finished up and had my new washer and dryer back into place and up and working for me in no time. This was my second time to use Tierney Plumbing and I was just as happy with them the second time around as I was the first. They are professional, prompt, clean and friendly. They stick to the estimate and don't try to sell you services that you don't need. I am glad I found a plumber I can trust. Thanks Tierney and thanks Angie's List!

I purchased a Big Deal on Angie's list for Tierney Plumbing. it was $135 for 2 hours of plumbing, parts are extra. I emailed Jennifer Tierney to find out how much it was to repair and replace the cartridges in the Master shower typically. She responded, labor involved is generally 2 hours for such a job if everything goes as planned. I said, i had a 2 hour special so that should work out great. Lets get it scheduled. No problems so far. The plumber arrived within the planned time frame. Took out the cartridges to find out the type of cartridge replaced the little gaskets to help seal the leak ($5 part) put it back together called and told me he would be ordering the parts and get a reschedule for install when they came. I told him I had a 2hr for 1hr special through Angie lists and he said ok took my credit card. Two weeks later the parts came in he rescheduled and installed the new cartridges. After the first shower it was leaking again even worse than before. We had to turn of the water main for the house. So apparently it didn't really get fixed right the first time. To their credit, we called first thing in the morning and the plumber came out and fixed it. This is when I called to get the total bill. Here it is $174 to remove and replace to order parts 1.25hrs labor and $5 in parts $277 to install new cartridges 1.75hrs labor $80 in parts. because of a loophole in the two for 1 deal. They applied that labor to the first job only. then charged full labor on 2nd job. I think we can all agree that in the beginning this was quoted as 1 job yet when it came to payment they decided it would be best for them to split it and act like it was 2 separate jobs. I confronted Jennifer about this. She responded by saying the fine print shows it can only be applied during one day. Naturally if they would have had the parts in stock this would have been 1 day. And I just got a call from the tenants and the shower is broken again. And to set the record straight, I asked why I was never given the option to replace the system and actually Jennifer said most people just want a bandaid on it. I explained that if I knew I was going to have to spend nearly $500 to fix the old system a new one could have been installed and been trouble free for the next 10 years. Now I have to call a new plumber to come out and do the job right the first time. This feels deceptive and like a bait and switch tactic. according to their website these are the rules they live by We promise to: NEVER Price Gouge or Needlessly Upsell NEVER use Bait-and-Switch Gimmicks NEVER use Unethical Practices ALWAYS offer 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed! ALWAYS present ourselves as professionals! ALWAYS do the right thing no matter what! Also the job was quoted at 2 hrs. From the beginning and nothing out of the ordinary happened. Of course when I brought all this to her attention she had no response. I would say they are more concerned about making money then having customers that want to call them back. You be the judge, but I won't be contacting them for any more work and I'll be filing complaints with the BBB, Texas State Board of plumbing examiners and the FTC for deceptive trade practices. one last thing It just happened to work out to the penny that the price was exactly the same coupon or not at $451.25. What a terrible experience. Terrible customer service and very non friendly customer service by the woman answering phones. We were giving a window of 1-4pm. I got a call at 4:55 saying that will be at house in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, still no plumber. I call office, they said plumber is stuck in traffic and we can't control the traffic. Well, if the plumber would have come during the agreed upon window 1-4pm, the plumber wouldn't have been stuck in traffic in the first place. I asked for a discount because of the very late arrival, they said no, and told me to go find another plumber...which i will do gladly. Please avoid this company at all costs. A rating should be an F!

It was last year so I don't remember the details but I know they did a great job and I will definitely use them again. They also came out immediately regarding a last minute problem I encountered. They did excellent work and have wonderful customer service.

Tierney sent a plumber quickly. He used to different cables to try to push the clog through and could not. They charged us for the weekend time, said we'd need to replace iron pipes beneath the house, and left. Several other plumbers I talked to afterward said charging for not resolving an issue was a scam. I had A2Z Atomic Plumbing out two days later. The plumber was extremely professional, and went to work with his cables. He cut through blockage in the drain and completely resolved in less than an hour. He confirmed they would not have charged if they could not resolve the issue, but would have given an estimate for further work needed. I called Tierney to ask for a refund. My complaint was that when I call a plumber, I trust they will have the equipment and expertise to resolve an issue. They took two hours to do nothing, when another plumber used better equipment and resolved an issue in less than one hour. Tierney refused a refund, saying they tried their best, and that's just how the industry goes. They started getting offended and taking my complaints personally, arguing with me that that's just how it goes. They argued how well they know things, and how hard it was to pay a plumber double to come out on Sunday. All their effort was spent defending their process of charging for no resolution for a basic plumbing problem. They also said all their equipment is new and as good as anyone's, when the plumber complained in front of me that his machine was too old and didn't work right. I will never use Tierney again, even if they paid me. I am absolutely furious with their service and integrity.

From scheduling to the people that came out to do the work, they were a class act and nothing but complete professionals, loved them so much hiring them again!

Very professional plumber showed up and did work. Got the work done in the time I had paid for with out additional costs. The install looks great! Highly recommend.

James called to inform me that he was coming to my house and arrived at 8 AM as scheduled. He paid attention that I was walking barefoot on my carpet so he removed his shoes and later used a shoe cover when working on the repair. I described the blockage and explained that I have tried to use the plunger and noticed the sandy sediment in the back-flush. James must have seen this many times before. He immediately explained and showed me that I have an A/C drainage from the attic which drained into this bathroom sink drain. And A/C drainage has such sediment that could accumulate over time and block the pipe. He explained that he would cut the vent to this pipe in the attic and fish the snake down from there to unclog the blockage. James performed the repair as described and since he did not use up the full hour that I would be charged with, he spent the remaining time asking me if I had any minor plumbing issues that he could help with. He also mentioned that I have a 19-year old water heater in the attic and gave me quote of $1,450 to replace it. I paid the $135 hourly charge minus a $25 coupon from Angie's List.

I had the company give me an estimate to replace the pipe that was seeping gas. The price quoted for redo of the gas piping was a bit steep so I decided to bid out the work. They seem to be a reputable firm and I would probably use them for other work as needed.

I called Tierney Plumbing after I experienced some difficulties with the installation of a replacement kitchen sink. Their plumber arrived on time and completed the necessary work efficiently and professionally.

Our plumber was on time and quickly assesssed our drains in our bathrooms. Our home inspectors were concerned that our drains were slow and that we should make sure there wasn't a deeper problem than just normal blockage. The plumber cleared the drains of all the disgusting stuff that hangs out in there (we bought the home from a family with teenage daughters - so, lots of hair). He then made sure things were fine otherwise. What impressed me was that he could have upsold us services around the drains. Instead, he educated us about why some of the sinks especially in our master bath drain more slowly (we have fancy bowls for sinks that make draining slower). He told us how to better maintain those, and left it at that. Again, as new homeowners, he could have pushed for more, but didn't.

Everyone from the people who answer the phones to the technician who installed the water heater were professional and courteous. They did exactly what they said they would and showed up on time. They were flexible with their schedule so other appointments could work with my schedule. I will use them again.

I called another plumbing company who gave me a 11a-3p window of time, then called at 2:30p to inform be it would be after 3pm. (I had to shut off the main, so no running water for going on 20 hours.) I got a hold of Jennifer at Tierney's who said she could have someone out within the hour. Within the hour had a plumber call who had the address incorrect, but that was easily remedied. I showed him the area of interest and went back to other chores. Within 20 minutes he was wrapping up bringing be a bill. I thought the price was a little steep for labor, but then again, it was Saturday, late afternoon before I even called. Also, I hate dealing with pvc piping and so I'm willing to pay for someone who works with that regularly. And they were done before dinner to boot! The main satisfaction for me was a getting someone out in a responsible amount of time to handle some work with some form of quality and not charge through the roof for some simple repair. These guys did it for me and I would use them again.

I had a Big Deal. It turned out fine. They came out a day or two after I called them. There was additional charges because we had to put in a new disposal. Good scheduling when I called. They came when they said. They called me in advance. They did good work.
