This is the response I received from Tierney Plumbing LLC....and it had been more than 24 hours...very unprofessional. Mark,If your plumbing issue is so urgent, you need to call us instead of giving us a review of 1.0 because we didn?t respond to you in 24 hours. I purchased the two hour deal for $135. Setting up the appointment was a breeze. The plumber arrived on-time and was professional. He walked me through the steps necessary to fix the problem areas and provided me options as he was working. He knocked out the job well within the two-hour limit and was willing to do more if I needed (I didn't).

Pleasant experience from beginning to end. The company responded to the Angie's List deal request quickly and we set up a convenient date/time. Their employee called prior to their on-time arrival to give us a heads up. Jason arrived on time and fixed the 3 minor plumbing issues we were having. Came in under the 2 hours. He was professional, competent and very nice. We would definitely use them again.

Both of our outdoor faucets were leaking. Our house was old and the faucets were saudered so we had to cordinate the plumber with a masonary since removal of brick was required. Tierney was on time and flexible with me and the masonary's schedule. Everything went great and very smooth. I was very happy with the process and would use them again if needed!

I purchased the $135 for 2 hours labor Angie's deal. I included specific information about what I wanted done, such as replacement of the toilet guts because it kept running. Jeremy was late arriving, and he did not have the parts necessary to make the repairs I had requested. He did have the wax rings and bolts to re-set the toilet, which he did, but not before lecturing me that I could have purchased a new toilet for the cost of this repair. Not to mention the prices on the parts are significantly higher than those at Home Depot, as info. He also adjusted the water level to solve a leak, but he also adjusted the flush control to the point it wouldn't clear the bowl. Luckily, resetting the dials is a "no-brainer." Overall, I was satisfied that my toilet was no longer swinging, but I am disappointed because I still have the problem with the toilet running. Follow up remarks to providers comments. I was not advised that my toilet required specific parts; instead the repairman simply said no one told him that he needed to bring the parts and he didn't have them on his truck. The provider's attempt to flip this back on me, the customer, is simply another example of their unprofessionalism and poor communication skills. As a result of I changed my rating of their professionalism.

Great service technician and prompt arrival. Will definitely contact Tierney for my next plumbing job!

They: · Scheduled a mutually agreeable time (they were on time) · Assisted me in picking out a toilet bowl, by suggesting a brand. o Really, who has time to research that :-) · They picked it up at Home Depot (for a $25 fee). · They installed it, and snaked out another bowl that was flushing slow. · My house mate was there to let them in, but they took payment over the phone · Both the ?front office, and the work was excellent. I will use them again!

I thought the worker was very professional and the quality of the work was fantastic. I do however feel that two and a half hours for one kitchen faucet & two bathrooms faucets with the stoppers was a little bit excessive? However he did seem to get a little upset when I asked him about it!! But I would definitely use them again..

An appointment was made for today, but they did not call or show up.

One of the washers on the new sink broke within a week of installation and the external spigot may be leaking. The plumber also recommended a number of expensive services beyond those I requested.

They were on time and fixed all my issues. When a problem came up they immediately responded and fixed the issue

About 6 months prior to service by Tierney, our pipes started an occasionally knocking when the water was RUNNING. We had another plumber out who tested our water pressure and said it was fine citing that we had "water hammer" (which is only applicable if the knocking occurs when you turn OFF running water). They did quote a potential replacement of the PRV for $3200, but said it could be anything (including strapping pipes, replacing mixer cartridges, and replacing float fill valves). After I replaced the mixer cartridges and float fill valves, Tierney came out and checked everything, ultimately confirming that the PRV was not working properly and replacing it. The knocking stopped immediately. They are very professional and knowledgeable ... and left our flowerbed in impeccable condition. Thank you to Ron and the Tierney team.

They're great. They were great both times. I had additional charges.

Really went well. The plumber showed up on time and professionally removed old toilets and installed new ones. No muss no fuss replacement. Took old ones with for disposal (extra fee). Just really a GREAT experience. I will definitely use them again.

They were outstanding. I went over a little bit with the price because it took a little bit longer but it was very fair. I was extremely pleased. They were very efficient and he was fast. He did the job like he said and he was in and out within the timeframe. It was 15 minutes longer but it was fine so I was very happy. The cost was very reasonable.

They quickly fixed the leaking faucet in the tub without difficulty. The ring holding our toilet in place was broken, they tried in vain to find a replacement at our local stores.They were unable to widen the hole due to lead area around the pipe. The supervisor was notified and we thought we were going to have to go without a toilet until the next day or longer,, but the supervisor found one and they were able to fix it. It was quite late by this time, so we were very thankful.

Jeremy showed up on time and fixed my problem. I had a couple of other issues I discussed with him. One of them he explained really didn't need the costly repair and he came up with an alternate and much less expensive fix for the other. I really appreciate working with a company that works for its customers and not for profit alone.

Everything was handled wonderfully - from the bid to the completed work!

I was mildly disappointed. I rely heavily on "picking the best" from Angie's List and I think that my experiences have been 80% positive. All to say that my expectations have become heightened. Punctuality - The technician called 3 hours before the appointed time and asked if he could come 2 hours early. I made clear that I was hurrying some things to accommodate him. Then he showed up 1/2 hour earlier still and interrupted a business call that I was on. I understand managing around unexpected cancels but it was a minor irritation. Price - I picked this company based on its reputation and not because I was looking for a bargain. I would rather pay a bit more for quality. They had a $135 2 hour deal, which I bought because it was there. I have no idea what going rates are so don't know if that price warrants an A or F. I said "B" because I'm not sure that the person that they sent was really a journeyman plumber or a more junior guy who can handle basic requests as described to their scheduler (who was super helpful and nice). Quality - I think that part of quality is providing expert advice in your area of expertise. - I asked the technician for feedback on using lye to keep pipes cleared and he had never heard of lye. - I had pre-purchased a waste king garbage disposal, based on it's high ratings. The technician told me that it would require moving pipes to make it fit the space so I bought from him an Insinkerator Badger 5. But while chatting with him about different brands and Consumer Reports ratings, he really didn't seem knowledgeable about the products in his industry. - He said that he had 12 years as a licensed plumber but I'm left wondering whether he was even right that my Waste King wouldn't have fit and whether or not a more skilled craftsman would have just popped it right in. In fairness, these are impressions based in part of the amount of confidence he had and whether or not he was able to answer logical questions. The only clear no-no that he did was that he left the old garbage disposal in a box on my kitchen floor, which I had to clean up after he left. And he left about 30 minutes before the 2 hrs was up without even pointing that out or asking if there was anything else he could do. I don't think that he did it on purpose but he didn't seem to be an aggressive, "paying attention to what's going around him" kind of fellow. Otherwise a nice enough young man. Would I use them again? - I said "yes" just because "maybe" isn't an option. I don't think, based on my single experience, that they deserve a top tier rating. But, when I need a plumber again, if they're the top rated, I'll likely give them another look.

Plumber was on site for 2 hours per Angie's list big deal. Primary reason was toilet seal replacement. Other jobs were performed to use up allotted 2 hours. Everything was cleaned up and left in pre-work condition.

Everything went smoothly with the 2 hour coupon. They fixed everything on my checklist. I originally bought the coupon at end of last year, but the original issue resolved on its own. So Tierney Plumbing's scheduling people were excellent with working with me, and I wound up waiting until March to use the coupon.

When I called to set up the appointment they were friendly and helpful. The provider called when they were on their way with an estimated time. They arrived early. Provider switched out the old garbage disposal for a new one, and took the time to show me key features on it. They were completed with the job in under an hour. It was quick and easy transaction.

It went real well. The guy worked hard to make sure that he didn't go over the deal that I purchased.
