Tierney Plumbing LLC

This is our second experience with this plumbing company. We wanted all of the bathroom fixtures changed but the Tierney plumber recommended us to wait to change the shower and bathtub fixtures until we redo our entire bathroom this summer. He could not guarantee the tub faux marble panel would remain intact. He has seen some marble break. Plumber was punctual and polite. We have been very satisfied and will use them again.

They are timely, courteous and are able to provide plumbing services that other plumbing companies aren't able to provide with no additional cost.

We took advantage of a special that Tierney Plumbing had available at the time which covered two hours of plumbing services for $135.00. The company called ahead to let me know time of arrival and arrived within the scheduled timeframe. Jason was extremely professional and personable, providing education on the equipment installed and answering questions we had. The work was professionally done and completed in a timely manner. In addition, the office staff was very professional and responded to my inquiries quickly. We are very happy with the final results and will definitely be using Tierney again.

Ron was very professional and provided excellent details into what he was looking for. He was able to articulate these steps to me and together we came to agreement on where the problem might be. I appreciate the time in explaining the details to me and working with me to ensure what my next steps would be. Along the way i learned a few new things too which can only help fro the future. No issues in using Tierney Plumbing again.

They stand by their work even came back when problem returned a couple of days later. Will always use them for any plumbing issues in the future.

Tierney Plumbing performed the work for a fair price - below all other plumbers. They showed up at the earliest possible time and coordinated to ensure my gas was turned back on in the quickest possible timeframe. They went well above an beyond. Tierney office took care of everything needed to get my gas turned on and permits arranged to get a same day inspection. Kris, the master plumber, came out early and had the work done very quickly and did an outstanding job. If I ever need a plumber, I won't call anyone else. By all means get many quotes but make sure you include Tierney if you want to see for yourself how well a job can be done and get a very fair price for the work that needs to be done at the same time. I rarely write reviews..for Tierney, they deserved this review and also ya'll need to know my experience. If you get into a jam like I did, having my gas turned off because a corroded pipe, make sure to call Tierney. Don - Plano, Texas

James is efficient and extremely knowledgeable. He is also an excellent communicator. He educated me on some helpful tips for the new toilets which was a bonus. I would highly recommend him!

I've used Tierney plumbing twice this year and each time has been an excellent experience. The first time was to repair a leaking outdoor ground faucet which was completed quickly without any problems. The second problem proved to be more challenging and difficult because the leak in the hot water line went into the concrete and couldn't be detected by the plumbers locating equipment. Mr. Tierney apologized for having to come back the next day because he hadn't anticipated on the trouble locating the line and hadn't planned on it taking more than an hour or so. He was honest and explained that he had another obligation that he couldn't postpone and said he'd be back in the morning to try to locate the leak. He showed me how to turn the hot water on and off at the water heater so that I could use it when needed, then shut if off afterwards to prevent the water from continuing to leak. The next day he arrived early as he'd promised. After trying everything to locate the leak, he had it narrowed down to one area, but was unable to pinpoint the signal indicating the exact location. He suspected the pipe was inside of the concrete and advised they would need to tunnel underneath the slab to locate the problem. He explained all of the charges on the estimate and advised that there could possibly be additional charges depending on what they found. I appreciated this because once they got under the slab, they found the pipe indeed went into the concrete and they had to get a jackhammer to break away the concrete to get to the leak and to clear some more past it so they had a good section of pipe to connect the new piece of pipe to. Because I had been made aware of this possibility previously, it wasn't a surprise to me. Everyone arrived when they said they would, communication was perfect, there was no giant mess left behind, and I was shown the photographs they took underneath of my house of the repair. They even showed me the actual piece of the old pipe to see what the leak looked like. That's outstanding service! I highly recommend Tierney plumbing for the quality of their service in every area. I'd also like to add that Mrs. Tierney was very pleasant and friendly when scheduling my appointments.

Physically he did a good job. He did everything I wanted to. In fact, they did a little more so it took longer and they charged extra for it and that was just fine. In the process of settling up, I never got a statement from them. I just gave them my credit card, they charged it and later I started wondering. I didn't think anymore about it until I got the next month I got a credit card bill and I saw that I had already paid the $135 to Angie's List. Then I looked at the bill I had paid to the plumbing company and it looked awfully high and I wondered, well, did I pay both $135? I just don't know at this point. The plumber replaced the 2 faucets that we wanted and then he did a third one. I had already bought them and had them ready but he had to go underneath and replace some tubing and the quarter turn offs and that meant we had to go out to a nearby store to buy the extra stuff that he needed. He said, I'll be on the clock while I'm out. It took him quite awhile.

The plumber was efficient and neat and persistent. He was pleasant even though it was a Sunday.

Awesome job. Very responsive to my concerns. Had an initial oops moment when the hot and cold water flows in the faucet were reversed, but they immediately took care of it. I would definitely use them again and recommend them!

The technician that was sent was very professional and did a great job. He suggested a fix to something that I have been trying to get fixed for a while (not related to the call issue) and was able to take care of it today as well. I really appreciated his hard work.

I apologize for waiting so long to review. I hesitated to submit a review because of the outcome. The plumber that came out was nice enough (don't remember his name a year and a half later), but he was working in a somewhat tight space and his machine put a dent in our new stainless steel refrigerator while working - I didn't see it until after he left. There's about 4 feet between the fridge and under our sink where he was working. I should have called the company when I discovered it, but felt like it would be a lost cause since I didn't see it when he was here. The other negative was his swearing. He evidently had some problems installing it and I could hear him cursing from where I was sitting. My guess is he didn't know I heard him. I felt that was very unprofessional. The install went fine - it was a fancy faucet with batteries under the counter for the touch free feature. I would not hire this company again given this experience.

Dreeds of dreeds....... a water line slab leak! Hot water at that. We noticed a spot in the hall that seemed to warm. Thought a dog or cat had been lying there. Keep noticing it was staying warm for the next couple of days. Called several plumbers as it needed to be resolved quickly. Tierney answered the phone on the first call and was able to come out within 2 days. The estimator came out and I walked them through the situation. He felt the floor and use some listening devices to pin point the location. I was determined that there was a small leak under the wood flooring in the concrete. He provide some options (such as pulling up the flooring, breaking up the concrete and fixing the leak to cutting off the line and re-routing the hot water line that supplied the laundry room and kitchen. Given the house was built in 1985, we determined it would be best to re-route as if we fixed this one, who is to say that another will show up in the slab again. The estimator took picture and measurements for the work team to preview prior to coming out. I was concerned about plumbing running though the attic during winter time and pipes freezing. The estimator explained to me they are now using a new polymer pipe that is able to expand without breaking and this is now the new standard vs, running PVC through foundations. Additionally, he said they would heavily insulate to prevent freezing. Jason arrived with a helper came out 5 days later and I walked them through the situation. He used the pictures and information to explain to me how they were going to shut down the old line and re-route through the attic, down the wall and into the manifold supplying the rooms with hot water. The crew went to work. Some access holes needed to be cut to feed the pipe through and make connections but they worked to make them as small as possible and easy to patch. They were on site for about two hours with the water only being shut off for a total of 15 minutes. They were very professional, clean up after themselves and kept me apprised of their progress and what was happening. Tierney made an awful situation much easier mentally and financially.

We so appreciated their hard work, thoroughness, and mostly integrity. We really respect them and would definitley use them again.

Our water shutoff was buried under mud and water. It was the cities obligation to access it so he could turn the water off to the house. It was a mess. Once the city came out and shut the water off, the plumber replaced the outdoor water spout. it went well.

he knew exactly what was needed, had all the tools and parts and left the bathroom spotless. Asked him to re-grout the base of the commode which he did cheerfully.

Jeremy initially showed up to begin work replacing my 2 water heaters in the attic. He suggested that I should go with a tankless water heater for just a little bit more money over the cost of installing 2 new tanked water heaters. I agreed, so he returned a week later to perform the work since he didn't have the new tankless unit with him at that time. He showed on time and worked tirelessly to drain and remove my 2 water heaters in the attic and then installed a new Rannai tankless water heater in the attic. Additionally, he installed a valve under the bathroom sink to recirculate the water to allow for quicker hot water to be available at the farthest location from the water heater since this one was replacing 2 previous units. My only issue came when it was time to pay. He informed me that there was a 3% up charge to use a credit card which I do understand, but he also stated that there was a 10% discount if I was paying in cash. It would have been nice to have known this prior to the work being completed so I could have gone the bank earlier in order to receive the $480 discount.

I used the 2 hours special from this provider. There was an additional charge for parts - which was as I expected. They arrived on time and could not have been more professional. I would definitely call them for other plumbing needs.

Could not have been better. I have called them back since, and once again, was very pleased. They are not my "GO TO" plumbing company!
