We had a fantastic experience with Tierney Plumbing and would recommend them to anyone in the DFW area looking for service. Jason was on time and very professional. He was very particular about how the job looked after it was complete (new drain line, faucet, tub drain). We would not hesitate to call on them again.

It was easy to make the appointment. The plumber was to arrive between 1 & 3 p.m. He arrived at 3:44. I paid $135 for a 2-hour coupon. I paid $24 for a replacement part. The plumber was at my home for 46 minutes. 1) Toilet # 1 - It was clogged. He unclogged it. It is working fine now. 2) Toilet # 2 - Replaced Fluid Master on a different toilet that was running continuously. (Next time I think I'll go to the store and buy all of the parts I think I might need and then just return them if they turn out to be unnecessary. I was charged $24.00 but then found them for about $7.00 at the store. This isn't a huge complaint, just a note to myself and maybe a tip for anyone reading this review.) My test flush while the plumber was here was fine. With the first flush after the plumber left my home the toilet clogged! I was only flushing liquid waste. I guess this was just a terrible coincidence? The replacement part did stop the toilet from flowing but then the clog happened.... 3) Bathroom faucet had a slow flow. He remedied the slow flow. It is working fine now. 4) Kitchen faucet - At first the plumber told me I would need a new faucet. But then he told me he was able to just tighten a nut which repaired the leak. The next day the leak reoccurred. With the extra hour and 15 minutes left on my big-deal I would have had time to drive somewhere and pick up a new faucet, drive home, and let the plumber install. 5) Kitchen faucet - Tightened a connection under the sink which had experienced an occasionally leak. So far no more leaking. I marked YES that I would use this plumber again. I changed my answer a few times. I wish we had a "maybe" choice. There are so many other plumber options I will probably call someone else next time. But I might use Tierney again at some point. The guy was nice enough, seemed to work quickly, etc....

I was very pleased with the quick service.

We were very impressed by the service provided by Tierney Plumbing. They installed a jetted tub for us and did an exceptional job. I watched as they completed the work and appreciated how they effectively communicated each step of the process. I felt that they did a thorough job and were very fair with the price. My only suggestion would be to ask the home owner where to leave the excess cement. We recommend Tierney Plumbing.

Jason was the plumber that came. He was on time very professional and was done within 1 and 1/2 hour. Very impressed with the professionalism, service and the price. I would definitely use them again!

My main problem is that I had already paid through Angie's list for two hours of work. Tierney Plumbing claimed that they couldn't verify payment, so I had to pay basically twice. I just want the 135 Dollars from Angie's list refunded.

We had contacted two "highly" recommended plumbing company to come out and provide us with an estimate to fix what we thought was a slab leak under our guest bathroom. Plumber # 1 provided us with and estimate more than 3 times the quote Tierney Plumbing later provided. Plumber #2 claimed that the leak was due to our sprinkler system (our perimeters around the house) and quoted us to fix the sprinkler line. Thankfully we did not listen to Plumber #2. Thanks to Angie's List, I found Tierney Plumbing. When I called, I spoke to Jennifer. She was extremely helpful and sent her top Plumber, Ron, out the next day. Ron arrive promptly, tested our plumbing lines (to which neither Plumber #1 or #2 did no such tests - they just "knew" what the problem was) to determine where the leak was under the slab. In less than an hour, he was able to determine that there was indeed a leak under our guest bathroom. Tierney explained how they would repair the leak and provided us a reasonable quote to repair the leak, and the repair was scheduled soon after. I was very impressed with their Customer Service and attentiveness to the situation. I never felt like I was just some dumb customer. They made you feel like you were a friend in need of their help. I would use them again for any future plumbing project, and would highly recommend them to anyone else who is in need of an honest, helpful, and reasonable plumbing company.

Kris Showed up on time, called ahead to let me know that he was on the way. He showed up and was very professional and polite. I showed him what I was looking at getting done and when we got to the toilet he informed me that what it looks like it is a big job and that he may need to go over the 2 hours. I said that would be ok as I did need it done. But when he completed he was with in the 2 hours that I had already paid for and all that it cost me was parts to fix the toilet that I couldn't get tight plus the leak and Clogs. I had asked about tank less hot water heaters for my house and he took time to explain to us the pros and cons of those verse the regular hot water heaters. I was very pleased with the service and Kris was very nice.

Jason arrived promptly and fixed the original problem with time to spare on an Angie's special so he also unplugged a shower drain. He was very personable and professional. I was very pleased and highly recommend this plumber!

This provider was not in the city that I live in, therefore could not complete the contract.

We had new granite installed in our bathrooms, so we needed the existing plumbing fixtures reconnected (and we purchase a few new fixtures as well). The plumber showed up as scheduled and completed the job well. He also installed some new values under the sinks since they were leaking. The cost was as expected (plumbing labor is never cheap) and the coupon helped.

Tierney Plumbing sent Ron out. He was very nice and prompt. He was able to fix our smaller problems well. The biggest problem was a clogged kitchen drain. He snaked the drain from inside the home. After he left, the problem was not resolved and the drain backed up again immediately. Tierney Plumbing sent Justin out the next day. He snaked the drain from outside the home. After he left, the problem was not resolved and the drain backed up again immediately. Justin informed us that the next step was to scope the drain with a camera for an additional fee. As Benjamin Franklin had fixed this problem for us in the past, we called them out for a second opinion prior to paying to have the drain scoped. They were able to snake the drain and completely resolve the problem. Upon calling Tierney Plumbing about a price adjustment given that I had to pay another plumber to resolve my issue, they had Ron, the original plumber, return my call. Tierney Plumbing refused to adjust my payment despite the fact that they failed to resolve the problem. The lower cost is not worth the hassle and makes no difference if you have to pay another plumber in the end.

I think the plumber was Jason. Jason was on time and very professional. He was very thorough and efficient. He replaced my old washer connections with new quarter turn valves. I have an older house where the water line for the fridge was coming off of the cold of the washer. I wasn't able to use the fridge water line unless the washing machine was connected. Without me asking him to do so, Jason took initiative and ran a separate water line from the pipe to the fridge - also a quarter turn. The quarter turns are the way to go! Jason also put quarter turn faucets on the broken toilet water line and under the kitchen sink for the new faucet. Everything was done better than I expected and it was definitely worth paying the money to get the job done by a professional. I would use them again. Thanks Tierney Plumbing1

Hired Tierney for a slab leak detection before agreeing to a repair. Paid 250 dollars to have leak detected. He left and left me a one sentence note regarding where the leak was to be found in the room. Also quoted me a price 1500 dollars more than other plumbers to do the repairs. When I called the office to try and get a better idea of where the leak was, the woman answering the phone told me that I don't need anything else and was clearly irritated that I had called at all. I asked if Tierney would guarantee this was where the leak was if I jackhammer into the floor and she said I "don't need a guarantee". She then asked if I had a husband who could possibly explain this to me. While the plumber that came out was very professional and courteous, me and my feeble female mind will find a company that provides more than a sentence for 250 dollars and doesn't hire condescending staff.

Jason did a great job. He came in on time and helped us installed faucets. He's professional and remind us the standing sink has some defects already. Overall good experience.

The plumber was friendly and on time. He worked quickly to resolve the issues. He was thorough and tried to complete the tasks within a two hour window. He went over by 15 minutes and charged overtime for those extra minutes.

I needed a quick repair to a toilet that was pulled during flooring replacement. The flooring company was onsite working and said I need a few repairs before they reinstalled the toilet after floor installation. I left a message and they returned my call in about an hour. Once we hung up, Kris arrived in a matter of minutes. He made the changes very quickly. He was professional and very nice. I would recommend Kris and Tierney. The only reason I gave a B on price is I'm pretty sure the drive and installation equaled a half hour. I'm just not a fan of the one price fits all. Where's the onsite tech discretion based on time spent? How about throwing a new customer a bone?

I used Tierney Plumbing on two occasions. The first time was awesome - there was an individual called James who was really knowledgeable and performed the job well. James was new with the firm and got the job done as quickly as he could. The second time around, they sent a different guy whose sole purpose was to delay the job as much as he could given that he was billing us on an hourly basis. He had been with the company for a long time and knew how they made money. He called out every possible issue that could be raised in replacing a simple faucet and how it could not be done without needing more parts/time. He ended up spending three hours to replace the faucet. I had to escalate to the manager/owner and they finally agreed to bill me only for two and half hours. I see a lot of positive reviews on this site for Tierney and thought I should post this review to temper expectations.

Excellent response for scheduling. Arrived on time and was finished in record time. Great company. Will definitely use them again since I was in need of a good plumber
