Their price was right on target with what they estimated. They checked my computer and cleaned up some things that were slowing me down. I was pleased because they checked a few additional things that were not on the estimate and they did not charge anything additional.

I'll and quot;start with the end in mindand quot; and say that I am 200% satisfied with the work that Computer CPR (Michael Young, et al) did for me today. I made contact late this morning after trying multiple ways to recover my Outlook Contacts that appeared to be and quot;gone.and quot; Before we got to that issue, I asked Michael to help with my Outlook settings, to be sure I had those set right - and he was very quickly able to tell me that with GMAIL, a certain set of parameters were required. These were different from what I had in my files from my initial GMAIL set-up. Once he got onto my system remotely, he had that problem fixed, and I was able to SEND emails again.

Then, we tackled the main problem.....that of my lost Contacts. Michael's quizzed me delicately about what changes have occurred recently on my computer and I relayed those as best I could. However, what I was describing didn't help. I had indicated that someone yesterday had discovered some information on the Internet saying that such a problem has occurred for others, but I was unable to reconstruct where that information was to be found. It all added up to the fact that I was of very little help to him. He checked all the normal ways to find the contacts, and when none of those seemed to give us results, he suggested the use of a product he knew about which promised to recover information that was on the hard drive somewhere, even if the files had been deleted, and perhaps the recycle bin cleared (if I understood right).

I agreed to pursue that approach, though it involved an investment to purchase the one-time use of the special software. (I would never have known about this if Michael's experience hadn't prepared him to help me with this suggestion.) After I paid for the subscription to the service, I turned my computer over to the Computer CPR staff - and the process began. It continued for MANY hours while various emails and contacts were recovered. When the process finally completed (at the end of the afternoon), Michael called me back to review the results. At first we were disappointed with what the special software provided for us, but then as he was checking out various things, the contacts were magically restored! We were both amazed, and in my ecstasy, I thanked him and wanted to be sure that we made various backup copies so this wouldn't happen to me again. Michael proceeded to manage the backups (all remotely) and when we talked about the costs involved, he indicated that because we had an ongoing business relationship, he would be considerate of the situation and not fully charge for the many hours consumed by the software process. I received the invoice shortly thereafter, and was and quot;blown awayand quot; by the special consideration I was given.

All I can say is that Michael's company is highly professional, extraordinarily capable, amazingly patient, and utterly top-notch! I had almost given up on the problem I had, but thanks to the expertise and professionalism of this fine company (now a mere five years old, I understand), I am restored to being a and quot;happy camper.and quot;

I highly recommend Computer CPR for any hardware or software needs - whether onsite, through remote connection, or via their storefront store in Southlake. My experience with them FAR exceeded my expectations! Don't hesitate to give them a try!
