"We received a call at 11:08 from our customer stating gas had been shut off by the utility company. We quoted a time frame of 10-2, and according to GPS records, we arrived at 1:55 pm, so we believe we were on time as we made this a priority call. Based on the age of the heater, our technician did provide an option to replace the heater, as it is nearing the end of it's expected life and many of our customer's choose to replace items like this before they fail. Our charge of $265 including a Plumbing Club membership, which provides priority scheduling, discounts on work, and a complimentary annual inspection of the home plumbing system, including a flushing of the tank water heater. We are sorry our customer was not pleased with the outcome, but we did prioritize his need and were there within 3 hours or so of his call, fixed his gas leak, turned his gas back on, and relit his heater."

"We do charge a dispatch fee to come to a customer's home, and frankly, it is necessary to maintain profitability, as there are real costs incurred to send a licensed technician to evaluate a situation, in this case, the request to run a gas line for the homeowner. These costs include paying the technician, fuel, insurance, vehicle costs, etc. We did advise other options, including a first time customer coupon on our website, for $50 off any work done. We also advised the homeowner, in addition to this coupon, that we would waive the dispatch fee if work was done. And, we offered a membership program that waived this fee, and afforded the homeowner additional benefits, which include and annual plumbing inspection, priority scheduling, and discounts on our services. While we are sorry this frustrated the homeowner to the point of providing this rating, we also understand that most of our customers understand and want us to be profitable so that we can stand behind our saying, "We are there when you need us!""
