Overall went very well. We reviewed 3 bids and well rated service providers; AC & Heat Solutions provided a fair bid and performed the work professionally. Service came with a 2 year free maintenance, which was a nice bonus, and 2 year labor and parts warranty. We have an older 4 ton unit that needs to replaced soon, we will definitely hire AC & Heat Solutions to do the work again.

I'm very pleased with the service quality and professionalism extended to me during my ac tune-up. The technician was very
knowledgeable (i.e. it was clear he was no rookie); he explained every step of the way what he's doing; he even educated me about their craft and gave me pointers to keep my unit going strong.

The problem with my unit was identified using state of the art equipment. They even gave me a quote for replacement of the defective part and repairs within minutes of identifying the fault. They verified that  the warranty on my unit was still valid
vs leaving me that task to do.

After identifying my system was low with freon, the tech added refrigerant to my system. After 3 days the unit is blowing cool with no outages. My ac is working fantastically thanks to AC & Heat Solutions!

I normally don't leave these reviews but after struggling with multiple AC vendors trying to sell us new units and upchargins us we found a winner.  They showed up and in 15 minutes fixed the issue replacing a faulty part.  No attempt to upsell my wife which most do.  Thank you for your honesty. 

Kudo's for having such great professionals as Sean to supply your engineering needs. Customer service, timely response and attitude were all excellent. I originally bought a 2 ton American Standard from Jeff at AC in 2013 and have witnessed great care and value since that time. I recommend everyone perform your typical due diligence and then compare your bids with AC. It’s not just price in the end, but installation expertise and service after the sell.

The problem was a part that failed and the provider had to get the part from somewhere else so they had to leave to go get it.  They returned in a short time and fixed the problem. After they left the thermostat was not turning on and they came back right away to fix that. It turned out they had knocked something off when they were fixing the other problem so there was no charge.  I was very happy with the service and the fact that they came back so soon to fix the other problem.  I have used them before for my a/c and heating and they always do a good job.

I was an Angie's List member for awhile and, honestly, didn't have too much luck with finding vendors (although I found a great deal on window-cleaning), so I cancelled my membership.  Before doing so, I got three quotes from Angie's List vendors to do the HVAC project I'm reviewing now.  Most of the information I received from each vendor was similar, but varied in costs; and all were either a "sales job" or I just wasn't comfortable with the person's knowledge.  I found AC & Heat Solutions from a referral from a neighbor (I didn't select him on Angie's List because there were no reviews).  Rob Summerlin, was very pleasant and knowledgeable.  He answered all of my questions and explained exactly why I needed to do a specific thing.  He also gave me alternatives.  There was never any hard-sales pitches or pressure.  This project was completed over 2 years, not because he was slow but because I had to budget my dollars so we did it in stages. Once I was ready to go to the next step, the work got done when scheduled and on time.  All debris and messes were cleaned up before they left.  There were no follow-up issues.
Background:  I've been in my house over 20 years and my house has never heated or cooled evenly.  As I'm getting closer to retirement, I wanted an air-tight efficient-running system in my home.  I didn't want to be 70 years old with a 35 year-old inefficient AC breaking down in August (for the 3rd year in a row) or high TXU gas bills from an inefficient furnace while on a fixed income. 
Over the years, I've had several "professionals" check why my house was not cooling/heating evenly, but no one could really tell me the issue.  Rob explained that the duct work was not installed efficiently (thank you to the builder!).  For the size of my house, I really needed at least one additional return vent.  In fact, the area over my breakfast nook didn't even have insulation over it in the attic!  I couldn't believe the difference in temperature in my attic just adding insulation -- at least a 15 degree difference.   The HEPA filter was an add-on to ensure I age with minimal health issues from the dust and junk in the air.
Before performing any work, he recommended he do an infiltration test to determine where all of the leaks and inefficiencies were coming from.  My windows were a major factor (and I already knew that as I could feel cold air coming through them during the winter so I assumed cold air was escaping during the summer).  While I got a quote from him on replacing the front windows, I could not afford to do it all at the same time.  I did, however, agree to sealing the doors, windows, soffits, and electrical outlets.  Considering the savings I got from the last time I replaced my AC unit over 15 years go (that paid for itself in 7 years), I'm confident that I will see similar savings from the new 16 SEER 5-ton unit and coils just installed.  BTW:  The quote for the windows were 75% less than the one I received from Renewal Andersen (who, in Texas, uses double-pain windows?)  I did my research and there are definitely great window products out there that aren't double-pane (which is all Andersen offered). One last thing:  Rob's company offered a reasonable finance program through Wells Fargo.  When I am able to replace my windows, I will go through AC & Heat Solutions.
