The crew showed up on time and began work immediately. It was amazing to watch them work. They got up high in the trees and got rid of quite a few dead branches. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. Our back yard looks larger with all the old oak trees trimmed and we finally have some much needed sunlight. I want to add that the clean up job was first class, All the wood was mulched on the spot and there was no evidence left behind. The workers were all very professional and answered all our questions. I most heartily recommend this tree trimming service and will always use them in the future. My hats off to John and his crew. Thank you

We contacted Alamo City Arbor Care on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday afternoon they came to give us an estimate. We agreed on the price and on Monday morning they arrived at the appointed time and started work. They performed the work exactly as they said they would. We were extremely pleased.

Project went fantastic! First, John Chalker came by personally to scope out the project and discuss what would be done. We walked the entire yard and he offered suggestions (I tend to get carried away when spending this kind of money, so want my money's worth). John was able to convince me that in certain cases we shouldn't take off more limbs than necessary (you can always cut more, but you can't put them back on .... good advice!). On the day of service, John had a family emergency, but called to tell me his crew and supervisor were on the way. They showed up ON TIME with all the equipment they needed. Scott, the crew supervisor, was extremely polite and conscientious. He accommodated all of my requests ... and, he worked as hard as the crew. These guys climb way up in the trees with chain saws hooked on their side. They definitely knew what they were doing. And, at my "seasoned" age, I'm no longer going to do what these guys were capable of doing. They worked hard and continuously (well, they took a small lunch break to reinvigorate ... no sense in anyone getting hurt). They brought along a stump grinder and a huge chipper, so all the limbs, brush, etc. were gobbled up and then trucked away at the end. I have no complaints ... my house and property looks significantly better thanks to John, Scott and the guys. Great job .... if you read this far in my comments, HIRE THEM ... you'll be glad you did!

Very responsive to estimate request, crew was very professional, plenty of men to do the work, cleanup was good. This large job was done quickly (about 4 hours).

With a lot of trees in San Antonio down due to a storm their response was quick and they removed the very large tree and hauled off all debris. Great job would recommend them anytime.

Excellent experience. Prompt phone response, same day estimate, service done a few days later. Workers were all professional and seemed quite experienced. They exceeded my expectations. Total cleanup of the trimmings and went the extra mile to clean up some existing dead brush on the side of the house. We will absolutely be using Alamo City Arbor Care again.

We have used Jon Chalker Alamo Tree Service in the past and were very pleased, so we called them again to fertilize our trees this year and also remove some dead branches and limbs that extended too far over our roof and also in our neighbor's yard. Jon also answered our questions regarding our 2-year old newer trees. His crew did a fantastic job cleaning up the debris in our yard and hauling everything off. Jon is very personable and trustworthy and we do recommend him to friends.

I called Jon Chalker after reading the great reviews on Angie's List and positive Better Business Bureau listing. He came the same evening, walked the half acre yard with me to establish the estimate. He told me a lot about the type and condition of my trees. Jon is knowledgeable, easy going and friendly. He gave a fair estimate and called in less than a week with an opening. He and his crew of 6 looked like a military convoy when they arrived! They were on time, quick and efficient the entire 10 hour day. The crew worked very hard, were responsive to requests and extremely polite. Jon capped a perfect job by planting 6 junipers I had on hand for my husband's weekend project, for no charge!

We had one dead tree that was over the house and very dangerous. I would not have believed that they could get it down without hitting the roof...but I saw them do it and they did! They were complete professionals and even trimmed the trees in front (that were not part of the bid) because they had an idle guy...and did not charge me extra. Then the owner said he could deliver a tree (because we removed two) and plant it for 200.00. They did that as well and it looks great. I got the whole job done for about what another guy had bid just to remove one dead tree. They were truly professionals. The guy that the did the actual climbing and cutting was an artist. I will never use another company for this kind of work and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing any kind of tree service.

I called Jon on a Saturday morning to have him come by to give me a quote on trimming 10 trees. He came by that afternoon, gave me a quote and I decided to go ahead and have him trim the trees. He had his crew come on Monday. His workers were courteous and efficient and completed the project on Tuesday. My yard was cleaned up of all of the branches and debris from the trees. When they were done it was hard to tell they had even been there except that my trees looked 100% better. They also removed a stump from an old tree that I had another firm cut down several months earlier. I was very impressed by Jon's professionalism and by the work that was done. I would recommend Alamo City Arbor Care to anyone needing tree service.

This was a big purchase for us and we feel we picked the right company for the job.

From start to finish they were professional and prompt. Jon and his crew came out and trimmed three trees on my property and cleaned up after they were done. Jon even talked to my neighbor and reassured him they would not cut too much off his tree, which was hanging over my fence.

I can not say too much about this tree trimming company. Jon Chalker, the owner is outstanding, knowledgeable, friendly, professional, competitive in price, and just a very nice man. The workers were here to do the job and worked hard~ three days worth. My yard is beautiful now and before I called it a yard of ugly trees. In fact, I really call it...Elegant!!! They left the yard completely raked and cleaned up. An excellent experience....

In one word WOW! Jon came out to my property and walked the grounds with me pointing out the type of trees and plants that I have and recommending care for the trees and plants. Note: I hadn't hired him yet. When I decided to hire him, he completed the project in less than 48 hours. His employees were friendly and professional. Jon has got it right, superior customer service and attitude!

Jon and three employees arrived about 8 AM. They cut down and completely removed one entire tree, extensively trimmed and reduced the height of four large pecan trees, and trimmed/ thinned out three large oak trees and completely removed them. They also raked my yard so clean you cannot find a twig or chip anywhere. The dropped limbs were chipped into a truckload of mulch, from which they gave me as much as I could use... three huge mounds I can use in for yard work.

I called John on December 28, and he came out about 1 1/2 hours later to give me a bid. He planned to do the work on the following day, but the weather was very bad that day with rain and sleet, and he called while he was on the way to my house and rescheduled for the next day. They arrived as scheduled at 8:30 on the 30th and except for a short lunch beak were here until 4:00. They did an excellent job. When they finished there was so much debris under all the trees I didn't see how they could possibly get it all cleaned up. But, when they left it was so clean you couldn't tell they had been here. Except for how great all the trimmed trees looked! They even blew the remaining dirt, etc. off the driveway and walkways as they left.

Jon and his crew did a wonderful job. I couldn't be more pleased. They were there on time every day. When they finished, they cleaned up the driveway and picked up around them. They were hard workers and very pleasant and polite. I would hire them again to work on my yard and I will have them trim my trees again when needed.
