Contacted office on Tuesday morning. That afternoon, John came out and gave me an estimate. The following day, his crew came out and removed the tree and did general pruning on my remaining live oaks. They did an outstanding job. The price was exactly as quoted and was very reasonable. They honored the coupon available on Angie's List even though I'd forgotten to mention it before they came out. Best part, my spouse came home and couldn't even tell they'd been there until noticing the tree was gone. Will certainly call them the next time I need any type of tree service performed.

We have hired Jon for many years and have always been more than satisfied with his expertise and his work on our (now) 42-year-old three huge Arizona Ash trees and a super-old pecan tree. We have recommended him many times to our friends who are always pleased with his work. I really believe he has helped save our beautiful and priceless old trees. He also tells us when our trees don't need any work ....that's honesty!

This is a managed property. Contracted Jon to provide estimate to trim all trees on the property. He provided the estimate, we submitted to the owner and with the owner's approval, contacted Jon to do the job. Jon and his crew went out within days and had the trees looking good. This is a managed property. Jon checked out the tree and gave us a estimate to remove the split hackberry. The tree was close to the fence and house. The tree was removed without any damage to the fence or house. Thanks for looking out for our owners property. Good job.

This is a managed property. Jon has done many jobs for us. Called for estimate on trimming the trees and Jon got the estimate to us quickly. The owner took a while in deciding to do the job. Once it was approved Jon was called and he got right on the job. Had the hazardous trees removed and all the other trees trimmed nicely. Great job as always

As always Jon responded to the call for estimate and we received the estimate in a timely manor. We received several estimates to have the old Mesquite tree removed and presented to the owner. Alamo City Arbor Care received the job and they removed the old Mesquite tree, grind the stump, cleared trees from the house, and raised the canopies over lines in back. I called ACAC to get an estimate. They were more responsive than the other companies I called. I called them to say I wanted to use them. they came out the next day. they worked around the company installing new gutters on the house. My wife was very impressed watching them remove a chinaberry tree that was over hanging the fence behind the house and next door. (I am sorry I missed it) They then cut back the trees over hanging the roof and removed the dead wood from the remaining trees. They spray painted the wounds of the trees they cut back. They racked up the branches that ended on the ground. They even removed some tree limbs that I had cut, helping clean up the back yard. Finally, everything was mulched by them

John as well as the crew that arrived were professional, curteous, dilligent, and paid careful attention to the surrounding landscape. The experience was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

I was contacted within 3 hours of requesting an estimate. I recieved a visit and the estimate within 24 hours. I asked for some time to review the estimate and was never pressured to make a quick decision. After some discussion they were able help me meet my budget needs and timeline. The showed up on-time, were very quick, clean, and even helped my family move cars around to get to the work. My yard looks great. I'm extremly pleased with the entire process and would not hesitate use them again or recommend them to my friends.

They did an excellent job. Even our yard guy commented that the trees looked really good, and that whoever did them did a better job that the last company. I told him it was the same company...ha! I think the reason he thought they look better this time is because we actually had some branches removed and some directional pruning done. We will definitely call Alamo City Arbor Care when it's time to have them trimmed again.

I called John Chalker to get a bid on tree and shrub trimming. He came out and gave me a price that I accepted. He said he could have someone out to do the job in three days. Three days past and no one showed up. I called John, he said he had a job in the neighborhood and would have someone out on Thur. They showed up and did the job to my satisfaction.

I loved working with Jon and his company. He worked hard to stay in my budget. He was in constant contact with me before and after. Whenever I asked him for something, he would do it. He takes a lot of pride in what he does and it shows. I did get other bids from other companies for the same thing, his price couldn't be beaten. He was upfront and honest with me on questions I asked. If I decide to re-do my grass with him next year, I will be going to him. He was informative, honest and overall a professional.

The entire experience was excellent...from the estimate to the final inspection of the completed work! I contacted Alamo City based on the Angie's List recommendation and I was not disappointed. I would definitely use Alamo City Arbor Care again and I would recommend them to others. Jon Chalker and his crew were professional, prompt and courteous. They did a quality job and left my job site immaculate.

I was very impressed with the takedown of the ash tree. The tree had two very large limbs growing over my roof. I have an expensive stone-coated metal roof that I did not want the workers to walk on and did not want sections of the tree coming down on. The crew did a phenomenal job of roping the limbs and swinging the sections away from the roof. Neither the tree or the workers ever touched my roof during the takedown of this 50-foot tree. The rest of the tree trimming was done very well also. The crew was expedient and professional. Also, the price was over $900 less than company "X" who said they could not remove the ash tree without getting on my roof.

We obtained quotes from three different companies. Alamo City Arbor Care provided the best quote for level 1 tree trimming. My parents just moved into a new home with established live oak trees. They had five guys on the job. They were very professional and efficient. The trees look great and we will definitely recommend this company to our neighbors.

They were punctual for the job and very professional. They worked according to my advice. They were prompt and did a good job. They cleaned the yard very well after completing the job. I like their services and will use the same in future.

I don't know what the former home owner was thinking, but he had planted 15 fruit trees in our tiny residential backyard. And once those trees grew up, I may have never had to buy fruit from a farmer's market again, but I would have had no yard at all. We were able to take out 6 of the smaller trees on our own, but one herniated disc ended our tree removal progress so we contacted Jon at Alamo City Arbor Care on 3/15. Jon came out that same day and gave me the estimate to remove 4 trees (3 lo-quats and one mystery tree that may have once been a pomegranate) from our crowded backyard plus one spiked impalement torture device that was disguised as a lemon tree in a bricked planter out front. We also asked that the company trim and shape the 4 oak trees in the front yard. Jon took the time to identify what trees we did have, gave his recommendation on what we should leave in the backyard and explained to me some things about the Texas Oak. Although I misunderstood when they would be coming out to do the job,(I thought it was the following day), the misunderstanding was quickly rectified and the guys came out first thing on 3/17. In no time the trees were removed, the stumps ground and the oak trees trimmed. They took care of all the clean up, filled in the holes and by doing so, I suddenly have a nice big backyard instead of an overcrowded farmer's market. Not big enough to put in a pool, but hey, can't have everything! I will definitely use them anytime I need a trimming or should any of the remaining fruit trees need to come out. Thanks guys!

I originally contacted them for several services, but the overall cost was too much, so I just had them grind down some shrub stumps. They were prompt and professional. They did a good jojb.

I received a prompt quote and when I made the decision to start the work, they were able to start the same day. There was a crew of 5 -6 people most of the time for about 2 days. They did a good job overall. My only complaint is that there were some smaller limbs that they removed from the trees that were left on the ground. In order to rate them with an excellent rating I would have expected them to remove these.

Jon came the same day I called and gave me an estimate and set a date for the service. Unfortunately, he called to cancel the original date as he had to finish a previous job. We set another date, and they arrived promptly that morning. I was pleased with the work that was done, the cleanup was excellent, the workers were professional, and everyone I spoke to responded in English. The price was what I was quoted on the estimate, and having an Angie's List coupon was a bonus! I would not hesitate to recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

Our trees had not been trimmed for two years. They required removal of suckers, dead branches, and branches overhanging the roof. Jon reviewed this in detail and provided an accurate estimate of all work. The three-man crew arrived at the appointed time and Jon thoroughly instructed them on the details. The crew performed their work efficiently and professionally. They were particularly skilled at rope climbing and seemed very mindful of safety. They cleaned up all the dead wood and trimmings, shredded them, and took them away upon completion of the job, which took a remarkably efficient six hours. Jon returned later and inspected the work, which we both agreed was completed properly. Jon estimated the next tree trimming might be needed in about a year and a half, give or take, and suggested an overall plan for our trees in the next few years. Overall, I was impressed by his knowledge of our local trees and his respect for this special resource. I fully expect to call Alamo City Arbor the next time our trees need service.
