Took a bit to get it scheduled, but once Jon was ready to go the crew did a great job over two full days. Jon knows what he is doing as he really helped make our property and yard look great, as the trees had been ignored by the previous owner for years it seemed. So it was pretty extensive trimming and clean-up, but they did a great job. We will definitely call Jon at Alamo again the next time we need work done on our trees. Had talked to one other large company but they wanted to do so much more at a high cost that just didn't make sense. Jon likes to keep the green in the trees and leave as much as possible to keep them healthy. We made the right decision.

I was very impressed with this provider. Not only did John show concern for my problem but he also explained his inspection procedures very carefully. He's extremely honest and I know this because of the following. The individual who trimmed my trees this spring suspected a type of insect infection and recommended I call an expert in to confirm this. Over the phone, I told John about this and he could have easily recommended expensive treatment that I would have readily agreed to considering what the previous individual had told me. Instead, John told me the trees were healthy and the "insects" were simply caterpillars that occasionally occupy the trees in the spring. I will definitely use this company again because I know they can be trusted not to up sell services.

These guys are really great! top notch job, trimmed exactly the way I asked, cleaned up everything, left my yard cleaner than when they started. I had a removal and a really large trimming job, I used them a few years ago and I am as happy as ever, these are my tree guys!

I called a few days ago and within a few working days, they scheduled us in for the job. This is our third year using this company and as always, they do a fantastic job. The team sent by Alamo City Arbor Care arrived on time and was very professional. The men quickly and efficiently completed the trimming of the trees and any fallen tree debris was promptly picked up and removed. The men took care to remove any decorative landscape items that might be in the way of the ladders used during the trimming. Suggestions by the homeowner for additional cuts were acknowledged and completed. The owner of the company called when the job was completed to check on the homeowner's satisfaction with the job before the team left the property. It went very well and Jon provided excellent information on the health and status of the trees. He provided a lot of useful advice on clearing and removing some fallen trees as well as what had killed off some small Ashe Junipers. I would definitely call on him in the future.

A day before our appointment, Jon called and said he was in the neighborhood and wanted to know if I was available. I was, so we agreed to meet. Jon was very prompt. He inspected all of our trees and explained why they were not as full as prior years. Jon is a super nice guy and answered all of my questions. We will certainly use him the next time we have our trees trimmed.

The crew spent 3 days working on the many live oaks in my yard. The trees look amazing. The lawn is going to benefit from the added sunlight. They removed a sickly crepe myrtle and some shrubs and trees that were unhealthy and not doing anything to enhance my landscaping. They cleaned up after every day and even were nice enough to cut up some large limbs that a previous tree service left in my yard.

This is an absolutely exceptional service provider. We have used Alamo City Arbor Care before with the same results. We had straight line winds at our lake house in Seguin on Wednesday the 27th of April. The tree damage was in an open area so not an emergency or even urgent. Within 15 minutes of my call to Jon, he returned my call and was at our lake house within 2 hours. Gave us a price estimate and we moved forward. The next morning he had two crews there first thing along with his supervisor Mike (also exceptional communication skills) and Jon stayed through to the end to make sure the work was to my satisfaction and with very minimal damage to the lawn. This is a highest quality service provider which is "safety first" oriented and customer satisfaction driven. We have had many properties in many regions of the Country over the years and even used the national brand tree care company. None measure up to this total package of Alamo City Arbor Care. You can always find "two guys and a chain saw" to do it cheaper, but not with the same quality work and repair to damaged trees. None more responsive, safer, and higher work quality than this provider.

I cannot say enough good things about Jon Chalker and his crew. I called John after seeing his ad in the Angie's List book. Two other companies had already given me a bid but since Jon is a certified arborist I wanted to get his input. He came out the very day I called and gave me a bid. He told me his crew was near and could get the tree out by the end of the day. I was stunned he could even attempt this. The tree was split in many places and if any part of it broke away it would cause major damage to swimming pool, pool house, carport or shop so I needed it done asap. Jon's bid was in between the bid of two others so I chose him for the job because of all his equipment that would be needed. He and his crew knew what they were doing. They came in with a large crane, trucks, grinders and a bobcat. They dissected the tree into pieces, tied, anchored and craned the pieces out of our backyard and over our buildings. They then cut and ground the tree up and hauled it off. The whole crew was extremely efficient, hard-working and very sensitive to our property. They took special care to make sure they cleaned up everything and left our property in the same condition it was prior to the stressful situation. I would strongly recommend Jon for any job small or large. This is based on his ability to provide the proper equipment, expertise, and commitment to get the job done right. Outstanding service. This is the second time I have had Alamo City Arbor Care out to take care of my trees. It has gone great each time. John, the owner was very flexible and had incredible knowledge and experience. Previously I had them come out and perform a pruning after I purchased my new home. They did a great transforming our treescape. Today they came out to remove a tree that CPS had topped off and removed the branches CPS had left in the ally. the tree is no longer tangled in the powerline and there are no branches to be seen. Great Job!

The orange tree was about 24 inches in diameter. The tree and stump was completely removed. Care was taken not to damage grass and landscaping with the equipment needed to remove the orange tree. The oaks were thinned out and trimmed up to 12 feet to meet city code for trees that are near the street. 3 other trees were trimmed up to look better. They arrived on time and were done in a couple of hours. They cleaned up everything. Very happy with their work and trees look great.

I first heard about Alamo City Arbor from my brother-in-law. He had them remove two trees and I was impressed with the work they did on his yard. They grinded out the stump and leveled the dirt and made it look really nice. Seeing the work they did on his yard convinced me that this would be the company I would want to use if I needed tree service. A couple of weeks ago a tree fell on my roof due to a storm. The tree needed to get removed and I knew I wanted to go with Alamo City Arbor to do the job. I left for work on a Friday morning and came home in the afternoon and the tree was completely gone. They did such a great job with the clean up that I couldn't even tell a tree was once there. I'm so glad I went with Alamo City Arbor. They do a very good job with the clean up and removal. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a tree removed. Going with Alamo City Arbor is money well spent. You will not be disappointed. I will be using them for any type of tree service I need from now on.

Great experience working with Jon and his crew. Estimate process was easy and informative + price was fair so we felt comfortable moving forward. We have over a dozen trees on our property; on the day of service several passes were made as trees were sculpted as a group to achieve the right look and level of pruning. Very thorough job, truly transformed the look of our front & back yards, neighbors have given thumbs up too. Highly recommended!

Entirely satisfied with the entire experience from the quoting to the actual work which was done sooner than we had expected due to inclement weather. The work performed was better than we ever expected and the clean up was phenomenal. There was absolutely no debris, leaves or brush left in the yard.

Jon was on time for our appointment and had excellent communication with me the entire time. He took his time to walk through the site with me and tell me ways he could improve both the look and health of the trees. My tenant's office fronts were covered by the large, thick Live Oaks, and now they are all happy because you can see their business since the tree canopy was lifted and the trees were cleaned of all the deadwood. Jon's crew was efficient and effective. He looked ahead at the weather and called me a few days before the job was scheduled and suggested we move the work date up b/c a storm was coming. I appreciated that. The property looks great, my tenants are happy and I'm a very satisfied customer.

This was a very tall tree set right up next to an office building in a very busy shopping center. It seemed like a "big scary" job from a lay person's perspective, but Jon and his crew did it smoothly and effortlessly. These guys know what they're doing. I thought branches would be falling all over the place, and I worried for the customer cars, but Jon's crew had it totally under control by lowering down sections of the tree piece by piece. It wasn't even an issue at all. Earlier, when I asked Jon for his certificate of insurance, without hesitation he said he'd send it right over. He understands things have to be done the right and safe way. Jon is a real professional and I'm so glad I chose to do the work with him rather than the other three companies who also submitted a bid for the work. He was courteous, punctual and had excellent communication. His crews were competent and respectful. I will only be using Jon and Alamo City Arbor Care in the future. And I've actually already recommend him to a couple friends.

Alamo City Arbor care did a fantastic job trimming and pruning our trees. They arrived on time and went right to work. The tree work performed was done in a very safe and professional manner as they worked with the greatest of care. When they finished the guys cleaned up the yard so you couldn't tell that they had been there. john the owner was kind and friendly and Mike who was the job foreman on the job made sure everything was right. We would certainly have them back and would be happy to recommend them to anyone.

Jon’s crew came on the same day and did a wonderful job taking into consideration the size of the tree and the position of the fallen branch over the roof. They had to bring a crane to execute the removal of the large branches and they took all the care to not damage the front lawn. The entire crew was professional, courteous and very helpful in providing explanations. They cleaned the area after the tree removal was completed. We have used them in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

First Jon came out to assess my tree concerns. His advice will help with the planning of future tree projects. Separately, his team came out to remove the dying tree and 3 additional stumps. The team worked at a quick pace and did a great job. They cleaned up and left the yard looking great. I am completely happy with the job they did and certainly recommend them for tree care.

When he returned my call he came to my house within 40 minutes. He assessed the job and gave me the price. His crew was there within 40 minutes and they did an excellent job of removing the tree, which was a very large tree. I would definitely use this company again.

Alamo arbor spent 3 days completing the work. The bid was great, jon chalker the owner makes you feel like family. He was able to give me advice on the different types of trees in my yard. Funny thing is when I compared Alamo Arbor pricing with other companies they are very reasonable and their competitors respected them with praise. Mike and his team not only trimmed trees from my original quote but also took care of a couple of trees on my neighbors property for not much more. I will say, when they were finished the work was amazing, the difference was easy to see. I had called Jon and asked if the team could come back and just trim back one tree a little more. His team came back at no extra charge and more importantly no hassle.

He assessed the trees to see if they were healthy. He also explained in detail what he was doing, his assessment of each tree, and how I could keep them healthy.

It went very well. Jon responded quickly to my request for an estimate. Cheaper than other estimates and very easy to work with. Was able to schedule the work for the next week. Quality work on the trees and cleaned up well before they left. Accepted all major credit cards. Very pleased and will definitely use them again.
