Wiese Hefty Design Build

Kristen helped me with a realistic, plan then did the blueprints and all architectural work. Clay kept things on track. This was their first residential project, so we worked through the learning process together.  I am thrilled with the result,  In fact, I'm trying to figure out how to use my living room since I spend all my time in the Sun Room!

I think that they are extremely reliable ? they use a checklist to make sure that the projects are done and it makes it very thorough.

It's not finished but I'm pleased so far. WieseHefty is a design/build firm, so I worked first with the architect. The company provides a conceptual design for a fixed amount and then you can determine whether or not to move forward. I chose to continue, so detailed drawings were prepared for sub-contractors and the various trades were bid as we needed them. Because I have limited knowledge and experience in this area it was important for me to have a company that I trusted overseeing the work. I suppose some folks would think that using an architect isn't necessary. I want my home to both meet my needs and to meet city code. In Texas we also have a state Commission, TRCC. This firm goes by the TRCC book on residential building. They build green whenever possible (the pocketbook definitely comes in here) and they did some of the work work in-house. Also, an architect is a problem solver and can look at the aesthetics of a situation from different points to view, giving advice and alternatives. I like getting a daily budget and schedule so that I know where my money is going. I have made some adjustments as we have found unanticipated problems. This company works with me to find bargains where possible while keeping standards high. Yes, it probably costs a little more to have good design and followup but I get insurance and bonding and a guarantee.
