The Barton Co Carpets

Barton Co. beat a competitor by $2000 on price for the exact same carpet, tile, and services.  Wow!  In addition, they did a great job installing the hard floors.  One was ceramic tile and the installer had a fabulous eye for making the tile work with the room.  The other was a combination of wood and marble installed on the diagonal.  Not an easy job at all, yet the installers handled it as if it was an everyday occurance and it looked great in the end.  The carpet installers did a good job with some oddly shaped spaces and the carpet looked beautiful once they were done.  Best of all, there is a one year warranty on labor, so if any seams begin to show, Barton Co. will make it right.  Vallerie was the salesperson I worked with and she was great--very professional, committed to excellence, and a good sense of humor as well.  Overall, it was an excellent experience.

We contacted Barton Carpets about 3pm on the afternoon of the Battle of Flowers parade.??They were only place we contacted that was still open that afternoon.? Vallerie answered our call and told us to come on over to the showroom.? We initially went to look at tile, because that's what we were going to have installed.? Vallerie was very patient and helpful.? She let us take a few samples home.? To save us the trip back to the showroom,?she even said that she'd swing by on her way to work to pick up the samples when we were done with them.? We changed our minds and decided to just get new carpet instead of tile.? Back to the showroom we went.? We picked out a couple of berber samples from which to choose, and Vallerie came to the house to measure and give us an estimate.??While?at the house, she noted that we have a large yellow labrador retriever and explained that when she?played on the carpet, her nails would likely cause runs in it.? Plus the berber loops?would trap dirt from her paws?and be hard to get clean.? I liked that she was forthright with that information, because it saved?us from picking a carpet?with which?we would?ultimately?be unhappy.? So, back to the showroom we went again to?find?another?type of carpet.? One of? Barton's?vendors was delivering samples of new carpet and?began demonstrating to another customer how?the new carpet repelled liquid.? We overheard and became interested in that one.? We chose one of the new carpet samples to take home and pick a color.? They were too small to make a decision, so Vallerie had the vendor send us two large ones which arrived within days.? We made a decision, paid half down over the phone and scheduled the installation date.? Three guys showed up?as scheduled?to install the carpet.? They were very professional, courteous, efficient and quick.? They moved everything out of the way,?including everything?in the bottom of the master closet.? I had planned to move all of that stuff,?but they got to it quicker than I did.??We expected installation?to be a painful, drawn out experience.??But, Vallerie and the installation team?made it?easy and painless.? The whole experience with Barton Carpets was excellent.

We can't brag enough on Barton Carpets. We chose the carpet from their large selection and set a delivery date. The carpet was delivered and expertly installed. Our sales person, Valerie, was extremely knowledgeable, personable and competent. The installers were on time and even worked through their lunch hour. There was one small problem with a seam and the installer arrived early the next morning to correct it. Barton guarantees their work for one year.

They are phenomenal. The nice thing about them is that they were recommended to me by a friend and they were cheaper than any other quotes that I had got. They also put in a greater carpet. The nice thing about the carpet is that it is guaranteed for life. The guarantee gets transferred if I sell the house. I have never heard of that. The carpet that they had put in has a think padding underneath and that is stain resistant of the padding as well as stain resistant in the carpet itself. I was extremely happy with them. They recommended another company who was good as well. The gentleman I dealt with was Armando and he was very nice. They are special people to know about. The carpet is wonderful to walk on. I can?t say enough about it. I am very pleased with them. The workers were very professional and did a very good job.

This price includes tax, carpet, pad, installation, removal/disposal of old carpet and moving furniture. This is a better deal than I found anywhere else. I got a nice quality Mohawk carpet. I had gone to the showroom and looked at carpets. There aren't prices on the carpets, so that makes browsing somewhat difficult. I had asked my salesperson for a basic primer about choosing carpet and I didn't really get that here (I did at Atlas), but I hung out for quite awhile and looked at a ton of carpet. I narrowed down to 2, and then the salesperson came to my house to measure and brought my 2 choices. I got the quote for both and then ended up going with the higher priced one. The installers were at my house 5 days later. They showed up within the promised timeframe. One installer's English was not good, but I could communicate with the other. They seemed to do a decent job and even had a pretty good memory for where my furniture had been. This place is kind out in the boonies, but maybe that's why their prices seem pretty good.

Maureen was very helpful and professional in selecting, obtaining, and providing samples to us--even making multiple trips to our house to drop off and pick up samples. Barton offered one of the lowest quotes we obtained, but in the end we went with a smaller company where we were able to communicate directly with the company owner and got a great price.

They were prompt. They didn't go above their estimate by any amount. I think they're reasonable and reliable. They have a reasonable price and a reliable service.

Estimator showed up on time, gave a good estimate. Installers showed up on time, did a good job installing, finished up on time, cleaned up after themselves.

They were very attentive to what I needed; we went through several possible options for floor covering, and decided on the carpeting. I especially appreciated the accommodation to my schedule. Carpet installers arrived exactly on time, and were very efficient with the installation. The were professional throughout and cleaned up afterward.

I was very happy with the results, they did a great job. They did it all in one day. I thought they were going to finish earlier than they said they would, but I understand they were delayed with all the furniture they had to move.

They were punctual for the appointment, completed the estimate for work quickly and thoroughly explained what actions they would take to do the job. The estimate was not the lowest; however, it included all furniture removal and replacement. Lower estimates I had received did not include furniture removal. When that cost was added back into the estimates, the difference worked out to be about $25 less. I decided not have anyone do the work at that time.

Robert was the absolute man! He made sure I was taken care of from beginning to end Very, very responsive and patientl which was necessary because I had a lot of questions. When I initially researched my title the estimates I received ere at least 40% more than what I purchased them for. I knew the title was expensive and was pleasantly surprised (almost afraid) when Barton quoted me their price. I would use this company again in a New York minute. I am very happy with my end product.

The salesperson was professional and returned calls promptly and was very helpful in helping me decide what were my options. Once selections were made and an appointment for installation, the installers showed up as promised and worked diligently until all was finished. The main installer is a master craftsman, very helpful and polite. My furniture was handled with care and everything went back into place once the carpet was down.

They did a pretty good job. We discovered several months later we found a place where the vinyl is starting to come back up. I was very comfortable having them in our home. While they were doing the flooring they skipped a step and just sealed it.

It was an average experience. I can't say they were fabulous. I had an issue with the first sales rep., as she didn't seem too knowledgeable and helpful. The next one was better. I was under a time crunch and they did not seem to understand that. The floors do look nice. The workers were good and there was quality workmanship.

They were terrific. They know how to do their job. They will move furniture and appliances and put them back when they are done. They were punctual and very helpful with suggestions they made. They are a very reliable company. They always made sure the clean up was done before they left.

They do good job and are available when needed.

Sub was used for installation. Communication with him was difficult. There were some hiccups with tile order from another company. However, overall installation went well. One small area proved difficult and brought out an emotional response from the sub (I thought he would walk out over the challenge...), but he stuck with it and completed the job. Cleanup was minimal. Broken tile was left outside where tile was trimmed. Pencil marks were left on the tiles. No grout sealant was used. Robert at Barton couldn't have been better. He was constantly in touch and did a great job of expediting the product as well as running interference with the sub. I couldn't be happier with his part in the process. The sub's part is what lowers this company's professionalism rating to a B. At any rate, I finally have a beautiful new backsplash!
