Description of Work: Earlier this week our Air Conditioner did not work and would not cool the house. It would come on and turn off. I turned off the Air Conditioner and started searching for someone to come and fix the problem. I used Angieslist and selected Tasco Air Conditioning whose address is: Terry Wolf, 8310 Speedway, Ste C, San Antonio, Texas 78230. I called them early at their listed phone number of 210-684-6200 and made an appointment with them to come and take a look. They were busy that day so I made an appointment for them to see me on Wednesday, 27 April from 1300 to 1600. They never showed and I waited till 1830 and called them back and left a message to see if they were ever going to show up or what. They never returned my calls. I called another company on Thursday named American Air, Heating and Air Conditioning at 210-535-1515 and booked an appointment the next day between 0900 to 1100. They showed up at 9 and knocked the problem out in 30 minutes. These guys were professional and knew what they were doing. I know businesses get busy and sometimes things happen, however I depended on Tasco Air Conditioning and selected them first and they were very nice on the phone and booked an appointment for me, however their professionalism is called to question when they never showed or gave me a call to give me an update, I could have understood. Tells you a lot about a company and their practices when they treat customers that way.

Description of Work: Fixed av metal box. Wrapped vents. We're very good. Mus up on dates but rectified. Would use them again. Girl in office needs to have authority to do things not pass me off to a tech cause she didn't want to deal with scheduling issue. Owner was was excellent. Techs were excellent.

Description of Work: Performed systems check as advertised in deal and did a good job of making suggestions for improvements. Came back a week later to address a frozen unit and make a repair over a missed issue on a Saturday. Very courteous and responsive to our concerns.

+ -1 moreMy air conditioner quit working on what has been the hottest day. I've experienced during my 2-1/2 months in Texas. The company that installed the A/C unit in this 2 yr. old house could not fit me into their schedule until Monday evening (and this was only Saturday 6/9!). After trying to contact several companies throughout the day, I found Tasco through Angie's List (next time I'll use Angie's List first). Tasco responded right away, telling me that they would work me into their schedule. They weren't able to make it until after 10:00pm, but they were true to their word and came to help me; saving me from a miserable sleepless night, since the temperature inside my house had climbed to 87 degrees. Their charge was more than reasonable, specially since I was able to spend a comfortable night.
Description of Work: Remove and replace the capacitor.

+ -1 moreTasco impressed me in every way. They were prompt, very knowledgeable, considerate of my home (making sure to wear booties and avoiding scratching walls), and the work they did looks great. The new system truly decreased the number of allergy attacks our family has, as promised. My electric bill has decreased by $75.00 per month on average. I am so pleased with their service, and grateful I did not have to deal with yet another company that could care less about customer service while poking me in the eyes with the price.
