They asked me for the square footage of the project. There were going to be substantial extra charges and I opted for a refund on the deal instead.

Nice job. They went over and above to provide quality service at a fair price.

I had issues with workmanship however they came back to rectify the issues that I had. In doing that, they did a good job. I am a satisfied customer.

Fast response, fast estimate, fast turnaround. Showed up when they said they would and completed all promised work. Three day process. Did not cut any corners on quality, amount of flakes, etc. It IS expensive, but far better than how builders typically coat garage floors and not a job I would want to do with a cheap Home Depot kit.

Don't bother with this guy!! You make an appointment months in advance and then he cancels. His brother owns Stain Concepts. Just as bad!! Don't waste your time with either one.

I called them and the $500 credit doesn’t get you very far with their service. They charge $8 per sq. ft. It’d still cost about $1,800 to do a garage. I didn’t move forward with them. They were fine about the scheduling, but it was too cost-prohibitive.

The dates kept changing to get the company out for the job. I wouldn't hear anything from them for days. They did finally come out to power wash. They then came on a separate day to sand and stain. They did use good materials on my deck. I was out of town while they completed the staining. I came home and saw that they had gotten stain on parts of my deck. T. There is also spray on my gutters. Tried contacting them three times different times. He said that he would come out on a date then ended up cancelling and I have not heard from them again. I have had to initiate the contact with this company to get this job done right. The owner on the phone was not very nice and all I want is to have this done correctly.

Update: The technician came back and re-stained our arbor.  He did an awesome job.  I give an A for the re-staining of the arbor.

My experience with them went very well.  We were working on very tight deadline.  They were quite flexible about the schedule.  They got the floors done exactly on the number of days that they had scheduled.  They were really good about getting the job done on time.  They did a beautiful job.  They did little extra work like moving the bricks and some other stuff.  Their price was competitive.

I thought he finished awfully fast compared to what he said at the very beginning. They were nice. There are still a couple of marks out there. We would recommend them. I thought they were very polite, very clean. There is still flakes all over my driveway that are just sitting there, on the outside of my garage. I thought the owner was very good. I think they were training the third person because they needed a third person. I thought they were fine. They came, they spent the night here in Round Rock, they live in San Antonio, and they were all very polite. They all knew each other all through high school and the new one was a cousin. The one that was the friend seemed to do all the work but they were very good.

Scheduling was fine. He had someone else come out to do the work. They re-stained my deck and arbor. They power washed it one day and then stained it the next. It was quick. I had no problems at all. The coupon was really $500 off the ultimate bill.

Initially I had some concerns that they promptly addressed. They took great care of all my issues.

They didn’t show up when they said they would. A couple of times, they called and said they would be here and didn’t come. When they did show up, they were hours late and did not show up on the dates they were supposed to. They also said a few times that they would be back to go over some spots they missed and didn’t. They also didn’t complete a job on a swing set and missed a whole bunch of spots.  They did shoddy work and never came back to fix it. They also put the epoxy coating on without sealing the cracks. Derek didn’t seem very trustworthy.

They used a subcontractor . They are currently working to resolve issues with overspray onto the neighbor's yard.

My experienced turned out very well. They were responsive and made sure to get something scheduled for me. Their quality was very nice.

I purchased the deal, $99 for $500 worth of fence staining. Once I spoke with Derek, it became apparent that due to the size of my fence, the cost would be much higher than $500, so I decided to cancel the job.

I purchased the Big Deal on April 12, 2014 and finally made a call to Stain Tech on May 14th to inquire about having my fence professionally stained.  I asked my partner to call the contact number provided and a man using no personal name or business name answered.  He was surprised by the simple hello and had to ask to make sure he had someone from Stain Tech on the line. He said yes, but still offered no personal name.
At that point a couple of simple questions were asked.  Question one was an inquiry as to if the offer included pressure washing the fence before staining was included and question 2, what was the estimated coverage area that the $500 "Big Deal" was going to cover? We never got an answer to whether or not pressure washing was included and instead of indicating how much fence the deal covered he replied with a 75' fence normally costs $850.  When we responded to him and reiterated that we had already purchased the big deal from Angie's List he started asking us about how much fence we had.  We told him it was a small residential lot and that we were under the impression, according to his Angie's List ad, that a free estimate would be provided.  At that point he hung up the phone.
I myself called him back immediately.  I was surprised that I received the same no name or appropriate business greeting.  When I explained that he and my partner must have had a conflict, he (Stain Tech) indicated he had no problem.  At that time I asked the same questions again and got the same answers in a unprofessional and disrespectful tone.  At that point I again indicated that I simply wanted to know what the coverage area for $500 worth of service would be?  He again replied with how much fence do you have. I was beginning to get irritated so I asked him to come out to my home and do the estimate.  He again hung up.
I immediately contacted Angie's List Member Services to file a complaint against this business.  When I told them that I had actually purchased a fence staining and separate concrete staining from the same company they offered refunds on both Big Deals.
Long story short and regardless of their A/L 2010 Super Service Award, I will not use and definitely would not recommend Stain Tech LLC (San Antonio) because it is apparent they (he) did not want to do an advertised Free Estimate on a "Big Deal" and he was rude and unprofessional on the phone.  My recommendation: Find another contractor who at least seems like they want your business.
***UPDATE***
A few days after the above posting I was personally contacted by the owner of StainTech LLC.  After explaining what had happened with his employee he offered to come and quote the project so we set up an appointment time to do so.  When he arrived, we went out back and he quoted me 800.00 if I pressure washed the fence or 1000 if he did the pressure washing.  His quoted cost included the $500 discount.  After he left, I measured the fence at 86' 7.5" linear ft to be prepped and painted on one side and 50'-7.5" x2 linear ft to be stained on both sides.  I'm sure they do a fine job but cost of $1500 for 187'-10.5" linear ft or $7.97 per linear ft is still no bargain, to me.

The company was punctual and did the promised work on time. The work was very good. There were a lot of plants (trees and landscaping) that had to be worked around which was one reason the price was (2600 for the fence and 200 for the patio) what it was. The fence was power washed on one day and the stain was applied the next. the patio and sidewalk were completed on the second day. I had no complaints and would recommend the company.

Sorry but didn't keep my contact info. It was a company whose add implied that for $99.00 they would provide labor for a deck staining job. After a very brief telephone conversation with a young man -who seemed disinterested with my questions, I realized the ad was really a cleverly worded come on. I told him I was wasting his time as well as mine I am not a complainer nor a person looking for something for nothing. I found this experience was much different than any of the other contractors found on Angie's List.

Service was not used.  I can't say definitively whether or not I would use this provider in the future, but I am hesitant to due the initial price quote.
Overall grade would be an incomplete..  It is unfair to grade this company when services were not rendered.
