San Antonio Shower Doors

The day they came out to measure, the owner Mark, gave me an estimate on site... which I loved. I didn't have to wait a week like the other estimates I was getting. The price was reasonable. They were also giving a free clear shield upgrade or a 10% discount from the home magazine, which we decided to take the upgrade. They said it would be approximately 2 weeks. This was mid-october. The first time they came for install, they were ontime... Roger is the main install technician. He is professional and punctual. There was a problem with the hinges so they had to stop install and take their things and order universal hinges. This was due to measurement error. They said it would be about a week. It was almost two weeks before they came out again... same crew... punctual and professional. This time there was a problem w/ the size of the door (due to measurement error). I began to question why there were so many problems with the measuring and Roger asked who came out to do the initial measurement/estimate. I told him Mark, which he then told me he is actually the owner. I did not know this before. Now, he said it would take 11/2 to 2 weeks for the new door to come in... which put us at the week of Thanksgiving. I had family coming into town and would be using the guest bathroom facilities... I was upset and asked them if they could put a rush order on it. They said they could and would let us know when they got the door in. It was 2 and a 1/2 weeks before we decided to call them. They had not given us a courtesy call or a call to schedule install. I asked about a discount because of all the inconvenience of them having to come three times, and it not being done by Thanksgiving which is one of the main reasons we used them because of the estimated time of install. Mark, the owner, would not speak to my husband or myself. Roger, the technician, had to call us. He said the owner doesn't speak to the customers about that stuff. He said the owner doesn't like to give discounts. I told him we can still cancel the order and then they would be stuck w/ a custom shower door and frame. They are here in my bathroom, as I write this, and Roger showed up this morning punctual and professional. He said he was able to get $200 off from the original price of $1450. I hope it looks great and so far, there are no problems. The owner needs to take a class in customer service and satisfaction.... great product, though. I'm just sad it has taken so long to actually get done.

I have been trying for over a month to get them to come out to fix this, but they won't return my calls.

The company came to the house on a Saturday afternoon to measure our shower door and to show us the glass samples and metal finishes. They were prompt in their appointment and prepared, and professional. The downside is that it took 2 weeks to deliver since the product comes shipped from Denver. Once it arrived, they took 45 minutes to install the product. They did a very good job.

Very carefully done. Makes a tremendous difference in the bathroom. One of the best changes we made in the house!

I appreciated the precision in their work. They held off the pay until the finish. They were good at handling materials. I was pleased with their work, and their work ethic.

Initially, they made the door the wrong size, which made things take longer, but they were professional in that they took care of the problem without any hassle to me. They redid it and the second time, it was perfect and I was very happy with it.

The installation went extremely well. Took approximately 3 hours to install 5 large bathroom mirrors and glass enclosure, door, and towel bar in tub area. Quality was outstanding, no damage to walls. I would definitely hire them again.

I found this company on Angie's List. From beginning to finish it was done professionally and promptly. Mark Spence responded to our appointment on time, took measurements and called me back with the estimate. It all turned out perfectly.

It was a custom made glass which was designed by my husband, so it was hard to measure the glass to fit in and they did it very well. The installation also was a bit tricky and it took them quite a while, but the end result was very good. They were not responsive enough as it was hard to get in touch with them. Their pricing was reasonable and I was satisfied with their service.

The company was incredibly responsive and professional. Jorge was a great communicator for appointments and estimates. He was prompt and courteous. Jorge measured the area multiple times. My shower is also a steam shower--and Jorge had specific advice about the door width/height. He knows his stuff. The most complex areas included rounded corners from the granite seating area in the shower. Jorge's measurements were simply amazing, as the glass fit in perfectly around the granite--and it looks awesome. A slight issue arose with the glass, but Jorge fixed it immediately. Best of all, they didn't hound me for the money upfront, which eliminated my concerns about taking the money and running. If you are looking for custom shower enclosures, this should be your go-to business.

I was very impressed with the first phone call. I spoke with the owner, Mark Pence, and he listened as I explained what I was looking for. We set up an appointment for the next day and he came armed with a large stainless steel briefcase filled with glass samples and fixtures that I could select from. He was also knowledgable about the Shower Glass Guard that could be purchased for an additional cost - but well worth the money in our hard water area! Mark was very through with his explanations of warranty and safety issues regarding size and height that we could comfortably place in our space. I want to state that I initially contacted Thad Ziegler and Samuel Glass, with the first sending two men who had no samples, had no professionalism, stated that there was no treatment whatsoever for shower glass, and called later with an estimate $500.00 more than San Antonio Shower Doors. Samuel Glass took my phone call and said they would have someone contact me, which never happened. After accepting the estimate, Mark sheduled his installer, George to come by for exact measurements, which he did. I had to wait only one week before taking ownership of my custom cut shower door. George and Roger came and in a little over one hour, had the thing installed and my bathroom absolutely shining in the reflection of the door! I also want to state how impressed I was that you would never have known that I had two installers in my bathroom as the workarea cleanup was incredible. Before leaving, George carefully explained the warranty, the necessary maintenance to keep my door looking brand-new and reinterated several times, that San Antonio Shower Doors backs their work and to call them if we discovered somthing that need tweaking or fixed. The professionalism displayed by all three men were well worth the experience and a pleasant surprise after being blown off by the two older established glass companies. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our new shower door and have already discussed with San Antonio Shower Doors the plans we have for our other bathroom - including the mirrors!
